I'm sorry dude, but this is flat out wrong. You can watch Youtube videos right now from the last few years of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan and actually see dudes with AKs cause helicopters crashes. I watched one where a NATO chopper was shot down by small arms fire last year some time I believe. Also, helis getting shot down by RPGs has happened SO many times. I can't even count the number of times I heard about it happening in the news or directly from people I met while in the US Army. Grenade launchers may not have been designed to do it, but they sure as hell can get it done. Armored helis? Do you know how fragile helicopters are? A tiny nick in one rotor can ground a bird indefinitely. They are precision tuned machines. A goose hitting the windshield can take down a helicopter. Why wouldn't bullets or grenades? Lastly, helis do go fast but they aren't jets. They are spectacularly vulnerable during lift off or landing for obvious reasons as well. I hope I didn't come off as too rude. I've had a 12 hour shift today and I'm really tired. I just wanted to set the record straight. not insult you. If I did, I apologize in advance. My brain is mush atm.

Too much awesome news for one update. There. Someone had to complain.

I laughed so hard that I had to wipe away some tears. I'm not sure why, it just hit me the right way.

I agree with you 1000% believe it or not. Every playstyle does have its place. But I'm still waiting for the Chosen One(s) to bring balance to the Force.
-
Nope. Just sharing my thoughts.

If I were a different sort of fella, this would've gone much differently. I didn't kill him, but I could've. I wish more players out there would see this game as more than just PvP.

We really missed these guys.

Hate to be a stickler, but, once again, this is wrong.

You can also change any graphical setting that forces the world to redraw such an Antialiasing or HDR Quality. https://feedback.dayz.com/view.php?id=27954 I posted this issue back in 0.58 Stable.

Not quite two, but so close! DayZ SA released December 16, 2013.

Wait. The new hunting bow is currently in the game? I missed that juicy little tidbit. I may pass the time til FO4 unlocks on Steam by scouring for the bow...

Getting Black Colors Black
ColdAtrophy replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I could perhaps give in to this line of thinking provided they at least make the manufactured black raincoat a solid black. -

Getting Black Colors Black
ColdAtrophy replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
The black raincoat looks brown and the dyed black leather crafted clothing looks like various shades of brown. -
You really need to work on the way you say things or people will not want to deal with you after a while or you may end up gaining the ire of the mods who are actually very lenient and cool people. On topic with what you are reporting, please upvote and add to this feedback ticket. https://feedback.dayz.com/view.php?id=27954 The guys with the bug hammers need to know that this issue still exists in 0.59. If only I had more time to play 0.58, this issue might have been squashed by now.

I think the fact that loose ammo is currently more prevalent than boxed ammo may be artificially making ammo feel more rare than it actually is. By now, I'm sure most of you have noticed that plenty of things that one can visually see are not showing up in the vicinity window. That is all well and good for, say, a child's backpack or a hunting jacket. You can clearly see the item. However, loose piles of ammo can easily clip into the environment or simply appear so small as to be unnoticeable. If there is, for example, a pile of .308 on the backseat of car and it doesn't show up in the vicinity window, are you certain that you would visually see it in the middle of the night with 60 other people on the server that you are worried about? Also, I have twice now found ammo in what I think are new memory points in civilian houses and I could not visually see the ammo in either case.

I'm curious about this as well. Why are people upset about the locked aspect ratio?

I'm told that the marker denotes the exact center of Chernarus, but I'm not 100% sure about how accurate that is.

I'd like to be able to pour soda/beer into water bottles/canteens.

I've been saying the same thing for months. +1 -
So I guess we are getting an update today. Experimentalprep is popping up in SteamDB again.

PM me with your rig specs and I will help you optimize DayZ. I have helped 3 other people achieve much better performance.

Yeah. I don't "meet" people. They just start shooting immediately. I never double carry, I never wear a helmet unless I'm wearing a motorcycle helmet and fighting infected, and I usually only wear two pieces of military gear: the Plate Carrier and Military Boots. I just don't get it. Everyone you meet wants to give you stuff and skip happily through fields with you picking flowers. Everyone I meet is frothing at the mouth and laughing hysterically.

Is this new? Either way, I had never noticed it before and got a good chuckle out of it.

I remember Hicks saying in one of the recent interviews that people were often telling him "we/I thought you knew" with regard to bugs when, in fact, you guys were not aware. When I heard that, I realized that I was guilty of this too. So I decided to make an effort to submit reports as often as I feel it is warranted and to stop letting myself believe that someone else will file a report. I have often found that my reports, even though I haven't done that many yet, were the only ones submitted with regard to that particular issue and a couple were major things that you guys were able to repro, acknowledge, and fix. That has definitely urged me on.

Yeah, it's just the scope outline, I have already put in like 6 reports since last night. I'm betting they are getting sick of me at this point.
