    As far as I know, the build is identical. The only difference is the servers are 75 player rather than 50 max.

    iZurvive.com lets you separate military from civilian military spawns. Click the loot button and you can set which types of spawns you want to see.

    You're right. That is weird. Especially since: 1) Crash loot doesn't respawn. 2) Crashes move every hour. 3) I wasn't talking about the FAL.

    Also, there is a 12 hour respawn timer. Once an M4 has spawned, whether it has been picked up or not, another one cannot even be eligible to spawn for another 12 hours.

    A huge problem with V3S

    Get someone else to hop in the driver's seat. Have them move the truck any amount, even a foot will do. Now the truck will work for you too! Others have claimed that getting outside the draw distance of the vehicle will fix it, but we tried that yesterday with a bus outside Berezino and it didn't fix the issue.

  12. Exactly what I was thinking. It's likely that removing the Vicinity window would be received in nearly the same way. I support the idea of removing the Vicinity window, but it would probably be safest to set this aside as an idea to be included in a hardcore server preset along with 1pp, nighttime, rare military weapons, hunting, fishing, stamina, 95% of the map, rain, extreme temperature variations and all the other things that will disappear within weeks of mod tools being released. Despite the fact that this is supposed to be a brutal game, it seems to attract a ton of people who have no interest whatsoever in difficult changes. Best to leave things like this as options to be toggled.

    Hey, SMoss! All tires on a vehicle generally have to be pristine for the vehicle to move in the most optimal way. Double tires cannot be repaired still. I'm am noticing that the model appears to be pristine even though they say damaged. Should the model look damaged? Is the tire actually pristine and this was a temporary quick way to fix it for us? Before I go ripping all the damaged tires off and looking for pristine ones, I'd just like to get some clarification.

    There was one build of Experimental 0.57 with an obnoxious number of zombies that really didn't seem to ever stop spawning unless the player(s) lost aggro. Sure, the server performance tanked pretty hard, but it was and still is one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had in DayZ. I had an MP5 and BioHaze was using a RAK. As night fell, we rolled up on the outskirts of Severograd, chose a defensible position in a house, and then rang the proverbial dinner bell by shooting a few zombies that were close by. We heard a bunch of footsteps but it was still hard to tell how many were out there. Then, all of the infected outside of the house began to growl and screech at the same time. I have never heard anything as bloodcurdling in DayZ as that, and it was then that I realized we were not dealing with the usual. After dumping mag after mag into the horde for several minutes, the bodies began to pile up in the front entry chokepoint and bullets began to run low. BioHaze took too many zombie swipes and got infected wounds. We decided to try to force our way out of the house. He somehow shouldered his way past the infected blocking the doorway, but they immediately filled in the gap with more bodies, threatening to box me in. I started to wonder if we had instigated a fight we couldn't handle. I started shooting again to try to make a hole and as BioHaze was jumping the fence in the front yard, one of my stray rounds hit him in the foot ruining his boots and causing him to bleed again I broke free and we ran our asses off to try and break line of sight with the now pursuing wall of infected. Once we got (relatively) safe in another house in town, we realized that he had taken too much damage, lost too much blood, and was unable to get Healthy with no shoes on. So, I had to go find him shoes and antibiotics by myself with a shitload of infected still milling about and all I had left was 8 rounds in my pistol. It took me about 30 minutes or so to creep around town and find the stuff he needed. It felt like 3 hours. I wasn't sure if we were both going to make it out of that mess and it was a pure PVE experience.

    I've been playing around with this workaround. Here's the thing: it's not a permanent fix. Any time you modify the gun in any way, one must go through the process to fix the Kashtan again. Unfortunately, "modify the gun" includes swapping mags. So if you have to reload mid-fight, whether it's zombies or players you are fighting, your Kashtan goes back to being bugged. Good find regardless though man. Thankfully, the latest Exp hotfix update has the Kashtans fixed.

    I'm pretty sure that MadMcardle ran into the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of DayZ. That dude flew out the window and somehow didn't die. He is The One.

    Retriving a Car Tent

    1) Switch to new UI. 2) Drop the car tent at the top of the ladder. 3) Stand at the bottom of the ladder. 4) Grab the tent from the vicinity window. 5) Drink a beer.

    0.59.131005 The Good: 1) The scopes and sights (Kashtan, RDS sights, etc.) that were visually broken are now fixed. 2) Vehicles do not slide anywhere near as much as they used to. We even took all of the tires off of a Lada that was spawned on an incline and it went basically nowhere. 3) Attached body parts on vehicles do not appear to be falling off at random anymore. 4) Vehicles now seem to be able to unstick themselves much, much more easily than they did in previous versions of 0.59. The Bad: 1) Item synchronization is still very poor across clients. For example, one player will still see 3 tires while another player will see 4 on the same vehicle. In this same category, false duplicates are still occurring on other random items as well. For example, if I drop a box of ammo on the ground for a friend and that friend picks it up, I will still sometimes see a box of ammo on the ground. Even more troubling, the false duplicates of tires can still create solid barriers for traveling vehicles. Our bus was put out of commision for more than an hour because of one such instance. A false dupe of a wheel that was actually attached to the bus ruined the front two tires when the driver ran into it. 2) Random player deaths due to desync are still occurring. I died trying to walk into a shed. Right before I black screened to the "You are dead." message, I was suddenly waist deep in the map. A very similar thing happened to me on Stable this week and I have read player accounts of the same bug happening to them. Another friend of mine died simply walking down the main entrance steps on an apartment building. Both times that this happened to me, it was within 20 seconds of having descended stairs and while walking through a doorway which had a lip sticking up from the floor. 3) Occasionally, one player will not be able to move a vehicle at all, despite not being apparently hindered by any obstruction. The car will appear to vibrate very quickly on the affected player's client. If another player hops into the driver seat and moves the vehicle as little as a foot, the first player will then be able to drive the vehicle as normal. Cars are also sometimes appearing to be stuck, but then catching up with whatever movement commands were issued by the player during this time period. I rubberbanded forward about 30 meters, phasing through a rock wall and several trees, only to find my front two tires ruined. Also related, I hurt my leg and damaged my pants and boots by leaving the passenger seat of a vehicle that was stuck in this state. 4) Massive FPS drops, input lag, and desync occur when vehicles are within perhaps 100 meters of one another. This issue appeared to be less severe on the most recent previous version of .59 Exp hotfix, but still better than Stable. Also, the severity of the lag/bug/desync appears to be increasing relative to the number of vehicles in proximity to one another. 5) The old invisible zombie glitch is still kicking around. Emuthreat and I got the crap beaten out of us in Elektro by one such entity. Both of us logged at the same time and rejoined to see if that had any effect on the visibility of the offending infected but no luck. 6) Bus Double Tires and V3S Double Tires still cannot be repaired. 7) The distinct idle sound of the Lada is now missing. This was not the case in the most recent previous build. 8) Engine sounds are often not being heard by all players outside of the vehicle, but the sound of shifting a manual transmission is still able to be heard from 300-400 meters away. 9) The MP5k's iron sights are still improperly aligned. If one aims down the sights, all that can be seen the is the rear sight. EDIT: 10) The RV1 RDS optic doesn't work either. If you hold it in your hands and look through the sight, you can see the red dot. Once it is placed in the MP5, the red dot is no longer visible whether the sight has a battery in it or not, whether it is turned on or off. If any BI devs happen to read this and have a moment to respond: Do I need to post all of these on the Feedback Tracker or is posting them here sufficient given the circumstances?

    We've found at least 2 drum mags in the tents on the North end of the NWAF (not all at once) and, if I'm not mistaken, we found one at the Myshkino mil tents.
