    I like them all! However, I don't think the battery power indicator would be the best solution to the problem. A much more realistic approach such as the light flickering when power is getting low, or the light dimming. We also already have the ability to lick batteries to check power. I strongly agree with the gamma boosting fix, it pisses me off to no end that people can still do that. Talk about ruining immersion. On top of that, I believe night time should be forced, no day-time only servers.

    I agree wholesale, I don't think dismemberment is necessary, it would be too much of a burden on DayZ's engine, but blood is a necessity for this type of game for sure.

    Asmondian, you are exactly what this game needs so desperately. You need to join the lead team of developers for sure. All of your suggestions are beautiful and would make DayZ a much better game. Especially the blood, for a game this violent, it ludicrously lacks blood and gore. If I shoot a player or infected I want to see visual confirmation of said act of violence, such as a blood splatter and enter/exit wound, not just a buggy ragdoll with ruined textured clothing.

    Hey, quick idea, and a simple one as well. Let's purpose that you've managed to snag yourself a player, and he's handcuffed or tied up. I always thought that it would be neat if said player was handcuffed and on their knees, holding still, if you could play a dramatic animation of putting a gun up to their head and blowing their brains out. This would be very similar to the suicide animation, but there will be a giver instead of just a receiver. Same would go for a bladed weapon, a nice and clean slice to the throat, resulting in a red screen, fading to black, and lots of gurgling and noises of suffocation for the one receiving the fatal wound. The animation can be canceled at any time, and if the giver is shot or punched while in the animation, the animation is canceled. Therefore, you can save your friends in the nick of time. If said person at gunpoint happens to break out of the restraints before the animation is done, the animation is cancelled. Oh, and please don't give me any shit about "taking control away from the player", it's the same exact thing as for suicide animations. This can't really be exploited due to the specifications for you to even be able to perform the action. Crouched, cuffed, and holding still. Oh, as a bonus, it'd be really badass if we could hang people, just saying.

    Death animations would be sick, even better paired with blood splatter and shit. Maybe with some wicked screen effects on your last seconds of life. I've suggested incapacitation, which would be similar to what you're saying, just not as lethal.

    I get what you're saying, but the standard ragdoll is extremely buggy looking, especially when said victim was handcuffed, and I personally believe an animation option would be better for such a situation. However, that is just my opinion and I'm open to take any ideas/thoughts on the matter at hand. I do understand that the ragdoll shit will be fixed eventually, but you really must put emphasis on "eventually", god only knows how long we'll wait. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the dev team. It must be truly a pain in the ass to take over such an overwhelming and ambitious project.

    Oh, I see what you're saying now. Had me confused for a second... This is a badass idea, if executed correctly. Do you mean similar to the Battlefield series, where if you are to get behind someone standing still you can directly stab them in the throat and kill them?

    Get that crap out of here! This game is shooting for authenticity and realism. I hope to god that DayZ doesn't become the campy mod. However, don't be too bummed, like Gobbokirk said, it will definitely be a mod in the near future.

    Hello, fellow survivors, I'd like to spread my ideas for this game's unconsciousness system, please make me aware of any grammatical errors I may have missed. No more animation - Straight up rag dolling, as if you were dead. This could bring back the meaning to checking a player's pulse again. Ace 2 inspired system - This means adding the eyelid opening and closing effect occasionally, while you're unconscious. This is to somewhat occasionally give the player a quick glimpse of their surrounds, this could also possibly discourage killing themselves while unconscious, which brings me to my next suggestion. Body carrying/Dragging - I'm sure everyone has thought about this before, It'd be really nice if we could drag/carry unconscious, and dead bodies. Be it if your friend is out in the open, and you need to drag him to safety. Or if you want to hide a body/kidnap someone. Respawn delay - I've always despised that people could kill themselves instantly while unconscious. I'm not saying take the feature away but add something along the lines of a 1 - 2-minute timer disabling it, until that specific time is up. Passing out occasionally from extreme blood-loss or extreme pain - Self explanatory. Stuffing dead/unconscious bodies in trunks, or other big containers - This is pretty self-explanatory. What this means, is to make it where if somebody has lost a lot of blood, or is in a lot of pain, they'll randomly faint and wake up (For short periods of time, mind you.) No more unconsciousness unrelated to blows to the head, or blood-loss/pain. I've always found it kind of odd that If I shoot someone in the leg or chest, they go unconscious, it doesn't seem right to me. I think an incapacitation system to replace unconsciousness for these types of injuries for this game would be more suitable, realistic, and brutal. This could also prevent instadeath from non-vital areas hit. Now, I am aware some of these will probably come with the new player controller/animation system. I just figured I'd get my 2-cents out there just in case. Please tell me what you think in the comments, or polls.

  21. Hey, I've made a post like this before quite some time ago, but, I wasn't very realistic about it. So, I'm going to dumb down my suggestions and make them simple. Infected doing more damage to the player. Being able to knock you (the player) unconscious, damage your clothing, and in general, just doing more shock and blood damage. I believe this is a necessity because, at the time being, infected are just an annoying pain in the ass that don't pose an actual threat to the player. More human traits - Having the ability to bleed out, go unconscious, effects of stamina exedra. Screaming - Letting out an ear-piercing scream when spotting players, alerting other infected and players. Also when their legs are broken. Biting and scratching bare skin - If a player's bare skin is exposed and an infected A.I scratches or bites them, it can lead gain green/ wound infection, if not treated or bandaged properly. The same would occur if said player's gear/ clothing is ruined. Alright, that's all I can currently think of. Please let me know what you think in the polls! If you do not agree with one or all, please explain why.

    Yes, my thoughts exactly. I probably should have been more transparent that I meant in the long run,I don't expect this to be in the next update or anything. And, I'm aware they aren't zombies, that's why I made sure to specify "infected". You'd have to figure that they're hungry and gotta eat something. From what I understand, they have an almost mutated rabies disease that turns their brains into swiss cheese. So, I figured it's not too far to say that they'd also bite.
