    I don't know about that, I like the fog as it is. Adds a nice atmosphere, I doubt it's sniper protection, that's not the kind of things these devs really do. It's there to be creepy.

    YES, FOR GOD SAKES FIX IT! Streamers will learn to deal with it, besides, night vision goggles are coming into the game soon anyway.
  9. Sweet mother of god, devs, please, fix the gamma issue at night. I do agree with that. They're already cannibals, but I do think they should be able to use melee weapons. Sharks, I don't know about.... boats are a good idea however. I think the more people you kill, your mental health should deteriorate, like in real life.

    They are adding the scout sniper rifle (Like the one in Counter-Strike Source) (Confirmed by Trello), I don't know about the others though. They are working on adding more civilian weapons, rather than military.
  14. Hello, survivors of the Standalone! I've been thinking to myself recently, and I wondered why pain was so black and white, in terms of how it works, In Day Zero. Keeping in mind that this game is Early Access, and things will be changed in the near future, I'd like to present to you some of my ideas. Post processing: Motion blur, Chromatic Aberration, Intense to Moderate screen shake (All depends on the severity of the injury) Audio: There's already some groaning and AH! sounds in-game, but they don't happen very often. I believe that these sounds, along with new ones, should be activated like they obviously would in real life. Like being slashed or stabbed, it's going to hurt like a bitch, adrenaline or not. Being shot, gonna' hurt like a bitch (Depends on if wearing protective gear, like a press-vest, or not.) and all the other obvious pain-inducing horrible things that can happen. The audio effect, and the occurrence of it should depend on how you got injured. Stabbed and slashed = Consistent and random groans and screams until treated with morphine, pain killers, alcoholic beverages, and or time. Same goes with most injures. Effects on the player: I don't really have to go in-depth with this one, as the new player controller will add tons of animations for this. Combat effects: In-terms of this, obviously gun-sway and the ability to aim would be impacted by your injures, and or the ability to fight and look straight at all. Well, yeah, that's pretty much it for the suggestion. Please feel free to add, or change any of the ideas presented in the suggestion itself. Let me know if you like the idea, or not.     I do believe the health thing will be fixed when the new animations, and damage system comes in. I'm hoping they add incapacitation, similar to what Rust has, but more realistic.

    Don't worry about it man, It'll be added with the new player controller coming out later this year after 0.60 update. It would make no sense for them not to add it, after all, it was also in the mod and ARMA games. And indeed, Rags, mad respect to you man. I love most of your YouTube videos and such, but you are kind of a cock with your responses on here, besides that you're a chill dude.

    I think personally that this would do more harm than good, but repetitive suicide does need to be punished. I was thinking if you suicide more than twice during a period of time, you're forced back to the same spawn that you got originally.

    Sorry, late reply. I've been busy. I had already thought of that, I was considering maybe everytime the character, if using the same character, would have a reduced timer everytime he or she goes unconscious within that life. When you think about it, i'm not sure how much they'll be able to bash his skull in anyways, about after 2 to 3 times, he'll die of brain damage. When you go unconscious, your brain smacks against your skull, damaging it slightly. So, if repeated, he'll just die anyway. As for tasers and tranq guns, overdose on traq = Death, too much taser = Cardiac arrest, leading to death.

    I don't know if they'll do the thirdperson thing, just because they're going for realism, but what I'm thinking is along the same lines. Kind of like what they did for ACE 2 in ARMA 2, you open your eyes for 5 seconds and blackout again about every 20 seconds.
