I feel with ya, look into the trouble shooting area for help. It helps a lot, thrust me. And at least i feel sane now, I guess the game is poorly optimized (currently).

He tried to be the nice guy, the guy that would help, the guy people could count on. But soon he realized, that he was no Hero. He would take food for himself, instead of sharing. He would not help, because he couldn't. Because he had nothing to spare. The few rags he carried was crafted by himself, through much hardship. But not all was well. He could not count how many dead bodies he had looted, just to keep warm. All killed by him, the Hero. He usually found himself at gunpoint, but he survived, even if it costed him his comrades, even if he had to drag the gun out of their lifeless hands. But it came at a cost, he had been severely wounded, his equipment ready to fall apart and he was ill. The only thing he had left was his thrust wordy gun, because it would never harm him. And at one point starvation took over, he was bleeding, he was seeing shadowy beings with sharp weapons, he found a knife in one of his recent victims. And he gutted him, and finally he had found food. But then gunshots ringed through the street, so he ran, and ran and ran. He ran to the cabin, because their he was safe. And when he arrived be lit the fireplace. He felt warm, he felt dry, and he felt disgusted. He ate his first meal in several days, he loved it, he disgusted it, and he shock. He threw up, when he realized what he was doing, he was not hero, he was even worse than a bandit, he was his worst nightmare. So he walked out into the storming weather, and sat down by the bench overlooking the city. The symphony of death rang through the streets down there, while he sat there with his thrust wordy gun. He kneeled down, his gun slowly being raised up to his head. What had he done, he though. But he thought, it can't end here, so he stood up, ready to reconcile. He would try being a hero one more time. So he walked down into the city. He needed medicine, he needed food, he needed help. But he was ready to sacrifice everything to help the next person he met. And in front of the school building he saw a person. He saw that the person was in a sorry state. So he asked if he could help. The person turned around and walked up to him. But he had other intentions, and in a moments notice he raised his axe. The broken hero fired six shots with his thrust wordy pistol, but he was to late. The axe had sunk into his chest. And everything went black. This was the tale of the Broken hero.

THANK YOU, with some heavy optimization i got 13 extra FPS in cities and 10 til 30 extra FPS elsewhere! :o

I have max 28FPS in cities and on average 50 or 60 FPS. Usually i could run at least 60 in cities at high settings, but now I only get 28. I tried changing the settings, but they barely make a difference. Like 3 or 4 FPS. Also the game crashes when a exit it, giving me the error, Couldn't write memory. And my menu is broken, it is the text and blue. my specs are: GTX 970 Intel 4790k 8 Gigabytes of Ram Kingstone HyperX Red Force Intel Z97 chipset Samsung EVO 250GB I have reinstalled the game, drivers are updated, I have no malware, bugs or any kind detectable, all of the parts are properly cooled. Also i run fine on any other game. I have no idea why my performance is so bad :(

Talking about mysterious deaths. I was shot in the chest, got a light tinted grey screen and a bleeding. I bandaged myself pretty much instantly (because I didn´t find him, nor did he shot at me). Then, 3 minutes later i walk (ran actually) over a open plain of grass towards a group of fresh spawns. Then swoops! I am dead! I was alone, expect the people infant of me. Yes, i checked my back 3 seconds before I got killed. It might have been an axe, but i think it was a bugged gun shot. I wore a UN ballistic helmet (worn), UK assault vest, gorka pants and jacket, mountain backpack, face mask and glasses. I was at full blood, (minus the gunshot). The shot ruined my jacket and damaged/ruined my vest. Everything else was fine. When i got back, like 2 mins later my loot is gone. And none of the freshys got any of it. There was also some russians there, they were armed and "raped" fresh spawns :S. They didn't have my loot either. So any ideas how i died, and please, only thought out ideas please.

I haven't traded anything for real in Dayz SA. But in the mod me and a friend made some trades, with me with a sniper in the hills, while he traded. If he did anything wrong, i would blow his head off.

Well, if you are with low to medium loot players, not having a gun works quite nice, high geared players then to be Full blood bandits or "Heros". And about the paranoia, it is good for you, but bad for others. For example, i meet i guy, and when my high geared friend joined us, well, my friend gunned him down on the spot because he was carrying a gun :S. And yeah, it is common sense to hide while your eating/bandaging/doing stuff. But one ting i hate in this game is trolls, and there are a few. OPS: Lets not derail the topic!

Heavy armor ey? Does leather pants an an improvised bow sound like heavy armored or well protected? And even how causes you are, you will die by the random guy with an AK, you will die by the mosin sniper and you will die by a squad of bandits. To say here, i am not for body armor, i am just saying that your play style docent suit everyone. I for example never carry guns (unless i hunt or is needed to defend someone). And i don't wear military clothing, backpacks or helmets because they make me look hostile. Not carrying a gun helps a lot when you want to avoid KOS. And why would i need body armor anyways? So that i could carry less food to give away? I don't fear death in this game. But for the ones that do, a west will make them less paranoid and boost their courage to meet other players.

To make a summary here: The plate carrier was added and is unrealistic/bugged. And Cornholio308 wants it to be fixed. Also he talks about how this would be helpful for social players, pretty much to survive a shot when he is helping someone or simply walking down the road. Sacha thinks the addition of the plate carrier was a bad idea and is afraid of power creep. On top of this he sees dodging bullets and staying hidden as a better tactic to survive. And here we have a split: If i were to follow Sacha's tactics i would end up as a paranoid, lone wolf and kinda isolating myself, but i would be almost immortal. While Corn wants to meet people and help/kill/eat/torture/make friends/kidnap/lure them. And yeah, full body armor weights a lot, this is why the dev are adding a weight system (I think at least). And about the power creep, devs will never add a anti-material rifle, and if they do, i guess we will panic. And hey, AP rounds aren't useless against body armor. Simpy they will always defeat body armor at a distance (Like a helmet being bulletproof up to around 200m)

Yeah, i meant pistol caliber (Not including anti armor pistols, Five-seven and stuff). I have just read so much about tanks that small arms seems kinda, small (You know 57mm autocannon or a 120mm gun, kinda bigger than a 7.62 round :P) But still, if i fired my MP5 point blank into your chest, would you collapse? And maybe they can add AP rounds? And make them like 1-10 of each 100 round? Thanks for the correction BTW!

OP has a point, the west should help against pistols/SMGs. But does the plate carrier contain a plate :P ? BTW, If they add military pants/armored pants, the weak spots would be: Neck,arms and legs (Not counting shoulders, knees and shoes) and side of the body armour, depending on the plates. And even if i meet one with this gear, i could still spray a magazine in his chest and watch him collapse >:D. Even if no bullets penetrated.
