Hey man, I promise if you eat a few apples (just enough to get out if hunger) then walk inland you will find food and guns. No one really thinks the loot system is finished, not even the devs! It's like the 1st implementation of a new system.. But really just play it, it's not that hard mate!! I'm rubbish at dayz and even I have a shit tone of stuff and healthy, hydrated/energised. -
Ive been known to don a wool dress when im freezing and have made my t-shirt into rags...

This had been covered before mate.. When you spawn in you have not eaten for a long time previous to your spawning. Someone gave me all the figures when I asked about it the other week

Also some servers are broken... Try a different one :)

The thing with the apples is this. I use them just to get out of the hungry status at spawn (which will give you green hydrated as well) this is enough to get inland. As soon as you find a town hit up the apples again and repeat step one. Then loot.. If you find nothing move on. Plan your route so your not away from the apple trees for long enough to starve. You will eventually find a bag of rice or cereal then your golden

My top tip.... Tent city in west and the one at NWAF... Canned food everywhere, rice, soda, water bottles, raincoats :)

I found those pockets for the plate carrier the other day.. In an outhouse, so they are around. Alas I had already swaped my plate carrier for a combat vest :( -

I'm pretty sure it will be optimised before 1.0. Darkest Hour runs 64 man servers with no issues (BUT the environment is much simpler) -

I'd say it's still too easy. I spawned in Kamy and in 3 hours had do much gear I couldn't carry any more+ fire axe + that little shotgun with handle on the font grip (20 rounds in my kit) + mp5 (with over 100 rounds) I also had v3s which I crashed... M65 jacket, assault vest ... etc etc!! -
Anyone who says the dot was better is smoking crack.

I seem to find about 1 bag of rice for every 3 towns I loot.. Even found peaches at the tent city (which was full of canned goods by the way).. Can openers are in out houses, purification tabs are in wooden sheds :)

Hey man you have the same CPU and graphics card as me.. What settings do you use bud? Just out of interest.. I seem to get 60fps wilderness and 15-30fps in the towns..

I'm pretty sure I read today that they gave each server the choice to turn off persistence until it's working properly? I found a tonne of stuff today. In fact I'd say it's too easy again!!!!! -
Well I played pub and private and found good gear on both.. There is some suggestion different servers might be spawning different amounts/types of gear... Not sure if this is true or not...

You might need to. I did. Not sure how much difference it really makes. As far as I know new render is months away still. I get 60fps wilderness and 20-30fps in town. Server desync and lag are more of an issue than fps for me.. -
