This has been happening to me more than 5 times now. For some reason, when you are carrying an item in ur hands (experienced it with sks) while u already have a gun and a melee weapon on you back and as soon as you eat something, it drops the sks and starts eating the food. The Sks disappears and isn't on the ground. But if you drink, etc. the Sks will be dropped on the ground and you will be able to pick it up again unlike eating something. I found that you need to put ur weapon on the ground first and then eat (tried multiple times and works for everything except eating food). Also, clothing also seems to disappear once in a while. I had a vest filled with Sks ammo except one slot which was canned tuna. Found another vest in better condition so i clicked and drag the vest on to my character and switched vests (should be normal) but the previous vest I had wasn't on the ground and lost all my ammo and my tasty tuna. Also happened with my hunting backpack and 2 of my masks. I would love to see this bug fixed soon.

I killed a deer yesterday and decided to eat some today since I was getting hungry. The deer meat was prestine so I ate some. Then I tried to cook some in a fireplace but they got ruined in less than 5 seconds in the fire and couldn't eat it. I got sick and started feeling nausea after 3mins of eating the pristine meat (not cooked). Are we able to eat animal meat in game without getting sick? If so how? And how do I get cured from being sick? I took some vitamins from a vitami bottle but I don't think that helped as I continued to get sick.

Does changing the Config files (like shown in some topics) really work? Will it really give fps boost?

Yeah that happened to me like a week ago as well. I ate and drank again till I was energized and hydrated again but I got sick and started to get dizzy, nausea etc and eventually died. I was geared pretty well too.

I have two .380 ammo boxes and 20 ammo not in the box (all prestine). I'll trade u for some 6 rags and a bandage (at least worn condition for both).Currently bleeding in the airfields by vybor and no rags ... And I'll give u some deer and boar steak if u guys want some too. I'll basically trade anything for some good rags and bandages :D- - - - - - - - - - - - I'm also looking for SKS ammo boxes and an AK74 clip (if there is because I can only chamber it with 1 ammo at a time and I'm deciding to throw it out if it doesn't have a clip).

Yes the axe has multiple uses, but the axe will get ruined eventually (cutting firewood, kindling, etc) and you won't be able to use it other than a melee weapon. I know you could get another one quite easily (fire stations in cities and even in airfields). But the improvised knife has always stayed in prestine condition (in my experience) so you will be able to keep re-using it without the worry of crafting/finding another. Also, the improvised knife has more commands available compared to an axe like skinning an animal (inference, haven't really tried it with an axe). For me, I like to use my axe for melee purposes only and my improvised knife for everything else.

Yeah but doesn't the axe "spill" some of the food content?

I know but I prefer the improvised knife because it only takes a 1x1 slot. Most sharp things are 2x1 or higher

Thanks for the reply guys :) will a pan work? I saw one earlier but didn't get it since I had no space for ammo. Didn't read the posts and watch the vid until now. Ah alright. I don't usually go into cities/towns unless it's refilling my canteen (when not raining). I usually spend my time in military bases and see a decent amount of animals around it. But I'll get more canned goods now with my improvised knife

My pc currently has 4 gb of ram, 1.6 gb of graphics card and dual cores. Is this good or bad? What is a decent amount of ram, graphics card and cores needed to have a decent running pc/desktop?

What is the least amount of cash ($) I need to buy a PC that will run DayZ with great quality settings? And what type of PC should I get? Atm I am using a laptop and i need to run it on low settings to get a good fps and to not have much lag.

Since I don't know how to build a PC, and my laptop can barely run DayZ, what is the best PC to buy for the least amount of dollars?

Do different servers have all different "character"? I had a decent gear when I played earlier but when I tried playing again now, I have a totally different "character".

Thanks, even though i went and search for all 4 types of hives, i have yet to find my old character. Oh well. I have already got better gear now and mosin with more ammo. Thanks everyone for the info and help

Raincoats also help from the rain and prevent you from getting wet. Idk if someone mentioned it but didn't take the time to read some of the longer novels (paragraph)

Well the thing is I had decent gear on a server that was only 2/30 (including me). I had the "No Message for ___ secs" and it lost my connection. I went to my "history" tab and joined every server but I had a new character with some gear. It wass totally different guy.
