They would have had a much better payoff if they had watched us for another twenty minutes. Would you like one of these lovely marshmallows?

I think we should have a little reading comprehension workshop here on DayZ forums. Perhaps some instruction on satire as well. I believe I did clearly mention bland, unoriginal gameplay as my gripe, not that I got sent to the coast with a chip on my shoulder. The majority of my decent gear was in the woods at the time, and agian, I'm pretty sure I mentioned that in the OP. So instead of me repeating myself here for the third time, I'll just refer you all back to the top of the thread. Calling out the people who killed me, for not taking the time and skill to stalk us back to the woods where the stash pile was hidden. Their loss, but I suppose everybody has a couple tents full of good stuff by now. I was just wondering where all of these creative and skilled players are. Lastly, many of you seem to be taking this more seriously than I intended. I don't want to go full-troll here, but the overly dramatic wording and reference to the dark side should have been enough tip-off most people with two healthy neurons to rub together.

Ninja don't use the SKS. Not mad, just jaded. I'll see you under the crosshairs.
  5. KOS is a part of the game, but it is so rampant that all other types of gamelay are ruled out. Even in ridiculously advantaged situations, it is still just a simple interaction of shoot shot die

I am astounded at the number of people who failed to read, or just failed to understand what my gripe was about this situation. The amount of interaction that they robbed themselves of by saying absolutely nothing, is what puzzles me. They could have just followed us for half an hour and stolen ALL of the gear, both tents and a truck; but they took the easy, quick, and cheap satisfaction offered by so many other titles out there. And a thanks to those who recognized the satirical and sarcastic tone of the rant. They did not ruin my day, they did not ruin my game, but they did make sure I will now be actively paying it forward to others. Not only did they not enjoy any of the unique experiences offered by DayZ, they just made Chernarus a little less safe now for everyone. I have turned to the dark side, see you in my scope.

I was shot inside a building through a window. And yes, I'm a little bit high. Mostly I'm fuming at the lack of original interactions, even when presented with prime situation to exploit. I presume you did not read my post, as I had mentioned dissatisfaction with the uniquely DayZ aspects of gameplay yet to emerge--aside from the long run back inland after a death.

Was that you? Once I make it back to my bag with the hacksaw, they will know hell.
  9. Why can't the PVP enthusiasts be made to go on the private servers? This game was advertised as an open world, cooperative zombie survival experience. My experience so far has been more of a Rural Human Hunter: Murder Simulator 2015 type experience. Go play fukkin Arma for Crissake! It is the same game, except it is not full of easy targets who just want to find a tent and go hunt and camp in the woods. I'm on the verge of turning into the same kind of asshat as 90% of the players I've met in game. And that's the problem: shitty playstyles that do nothing more than ruin someon else's recreational time. I can shoot anyone I see as well, I've been trying very hard not to, but I'm at the end of my patience. Poor behavior is contaigious.

Servers (or is it Wednesday) !

Take two cans of beans and log-in in the morning.

    Crafting with books

I guess that means I'm not. The questions were to illustrate why the books might come in handy. Anyone can run a brush or rag through the barrel, but moving parts will need to be removed and cleaned eventually after a fair amount of use. The books can provide this advanced level of cleaning knowledge, maybe it stays with you for that life after practiced once.
  12. Where did you find teaspoons?

    pawn Immunity

You should have no problem finding a raincoat on .53. And it is usually pretty easy to find a well within ten minutes. Sprint long distances (inland) to keep warm, and try the smaller villages to find food; don't forget about searching for berries (red get you fed, blue get you dead). If you do this, your biggest concern should be zombies until you decide to go to more populated areas. Once you get Gorka'd, you'll have to purposely wet yourself to keep from overheating while sprinting long distances.

Some ideas i came up with.

Or perhaps just not inspect the bag, use it, and die of sepsis. @OP: 50 caliber, uuhggg; there is a time and a place for everything. Semi-auto murder-at-1000-meter-machine, with ten round capacity, I hope they don't; ever.

I feel sorry for your guns, espicially those poor springs.

    Crafting with books

What is copper solvent? And is it poisonous for a caveman to drink it? Are there any good books on this subject?

    Forks and Spoons

Or run around like a crazy person with silverware tied onto every peice of clothing to jangle and attract zombies like a pied piper... Maybe add pie too, with cool whip.

Can we give sporter 22 attatchments?

At around 130 decibels, it would be wise to use hearing protection with a .22 to avoid cumulative damage and eventual loss of that frequency range. The in-game sound reminded me of a surpressed 10-22, where the bolt is the more noticable sound produced.
  19. Why not? I keep a spare crowbar in my desk.
  20. But that's all you get, ever. Once a persistent server has been picked over, it stays pretty sparse. Interdimensional travelers can pick all the good loot out of persistent server, leaving them a pretty rough place to survive for the rest of the week. Unless you know of a recipe for craftable rags? I've never seen so many fisrt aid kits conatining nothing but damaged IV start kits and blood bags, unitl .53 dropped.
  21. Even if central economy isn't completely fixed yet, I'd still like to have my stashes and tent survive Wednesday maintenance. As it is, persistent servers end up full of books and other useless crap by thursday afternoon. Having to restart my supply network every week feels like a Sisyphean task. Game feels so badly broken when every bit of progress that won't fit on your toon goes up in smoke on a regular basis.

    Returning to the game again

It was more of a tounge-in-cheek statement. My bad for not expressing it better. I thought the "inner peace" part conveved the flippant tone well enough. Ohhh, the limits ot text. Might I interest you in trading some burlap for a sense of humor? I don't even really want the burlap, ghillies are for noobs.
  23. emuthreat

Where do you all go to get your sweet loots?

Persistence ON servers take quite a long time to respawn loot, so playing Pers. OFF servers helps if you want to improve your chances of not missing something that didn't spawn back on the last reset.
  24. I'm pretty sure that they are just stuffing the map with copypasta buildings to see how it works out. Once they get everything in the game, and all of those extra doors and loot spawns prove that they don't break the servers, they can easily swap out models and change interior furnishings. If they drop the ball on polishing the final product/failing to create anything significantly different from the mod, there will be at least 90 million dollars worth of refund demands bogging down Steam. Anything less than a spectacular finished product will likely lead to the biggest fraud lawsuit in the history of electronic entertainment. With this much time spent on the game already combined with the amount of cash that the early access sales brought in, there will be hell to pay if BI can't produce an exceptionally excellent finished product. And I'm confident that they can and will do exactly that; regarldess of being held over a giant barrel of pre-sales.

    Burlap Sack Locations

I pretty much always head straight inland. Hasn't been an issue for a while, I have magical trees full of pants and bullets, and I try not to die on Tuesdays. I just always use extra care near those small town you mentioned, seems like a good place to do counter-banditry.
