    THE DAY Z SA stick!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ So much this. Unless your ass is sufficiently bad. I'll stick with guns for the time-being....

    Predator in Chernarus

I usually standardize my cooking on the Portable Gas Stove with a Cooking Pot. The first cycle takes 90 seconds, and each cycle after that (with a pot up to temp) takes 70 seconds. I always cook two pots at a time on two stoves. it helps to have a camp with twice as many pots as stoves; you can hot swap them for maximum efficiency.

    Ok tents?

Do you mean pitching the tent with the action key, or the fine placement done through the vicinity area in the inventory tab? I haven't tried precise object placement in this patch. I guess I just forgot that it existed.

    Predator in Chernarus

Are people not eating the lard? It is the most nutritious item in the game. Even if the wolf lard is 40% lean, it is still good eating. It also has powerful superstitious benefits... I can confirm that wolf pelts lay around for a long time. Our Experimental camp was right in the middle of 4 wolf spawns, and we had a tent with a shotgun in it that we would use as a pillbox to take down the free meat twice daily. The place was absolutely littered with wolf remains by the end of the first week.

    Ok tents?

Tents are working just fine. We have stuffed about 80% of the top-tier loot on an experimental server into tents. Also a few dozen cows and wolves worth of meat. If we were using barrels to store all this shit, it would be a nightmare trying to find anything. Long live the mil tent.

Storage information - Stockpiling time frame?

The loot is real. Watch your server for diminished spawns. I don't care what Hix has to say about it, once you stuff a few dozen automatic rifles into some tents, it becomes increasingly rare to see them spawn on that server. They say time and time again, that loot in tents doesn't effect the CLE, but experience differs.

    Items That Don't Spawn Anymore

Thanks Baty. Now IMT can stop tormenting himself by constantly looking for wire for his fish net.
  8. Exp.servers are on a 12x acceleration. It says so in the server browser. I'm not sure what the problem is here. If you run for a whole hour before you realize that you are going in a circle, then I would say the problem lies somewhere other than in the sky. Look for the Pleiades in the east as a sign that it is evening, and in the west as a sign that morning is near. The north star is a bit too hard to find, as the apparent magnitude of stars does not increase when you zoom in, so I just look for Taurus, Pleiades, and Orion along the ecliptic; works every time...

    Guns and Attachments

The VSS I found a few days ago only had 6 rounds in the magazine, does that count? Really though, I been playing on Exp. ever since vehicles were added back in. It's pretty low population though, so I can't say how private server CLE behaves. Go watch my twitch channel if you want proof, there is plenty of it there. Maybe go back to last Friday and Saturday if you want to see weapons spawn with magazines. Really, we have no problem finding great guns, until all of them are stuffed into our tents, that is.

    Spawns relocation question

I see what you did there...

    Guns and Attachments

It sounds like you are doing the same things as all the other poor schlubs out there, and wondering why the results are poor. Try varying your efforts, and you will find more varied results. My fresh spawn loot run usually involves getting a shotgun up and running for the wolves, then going to Kamensk and Tisy for the win. If you want coastal PvP with minimal effort, then have fun with your Sporter and P1; because that is all someone deserves for that amount of effort. Spending an hour or two to start a new character is perfectly normal, and only a problem if you perpetually suck at the game, or your playstyle involves throwing lives away in pointless coastal combat. In either case, the solution is for the player to make better decisions, not for the game to give you what you want more easily.

    Spawns relocation question

Save your easy-mode suggestions for modding. The devs won't give this even the tiniest bit of credence, because the map changes are almost finished, in terms of placing points of interest and the general "Flow" of the map. Tisy is the endgame location, which will require hazmat precautions to avoid the contaminated zone. Get used to it. Get good at it. That's vanilla DayZ. Asking for the spawns to be positioned from Kamenka, to Pulokovo, to Stary Sobor, to Dubrovka, to Krasnostav? I think I know what you are trying to do. Save time after each respawn. How about you just get good at having to respawn less frequently...?
  13. I'm gonna go ahead and stop you here, as much of what you are saying is bullshit. I have been using the stars to navigate ever since I started playing. People absolutely DO crank up gamma just so they can KOS in dark. Do you have a legitimate vision issue relevant to gamma, or are you just disingenuous in your motives to defend gamma-boosting? That being said, I adjust my gamma daily, depending on the level of ambient light in my living room. What the problem is with gamma cranking exploit, is that it gives you more contrast and depth of field than it should at night. There is no question that it needs to be fixed to prevent forcing everyone to max it out to avoid being disadvantaged. @CJFlint They already have the effect of night vision implemented into the game. A good way to recognize this is at dawn and dusk, when the sky becomes many times brighter than the forests. Just look into a treeline from 100-200 meters away, and make sure that your screen is showing half sky, and half land. Now adjust your view until the horizon is just barely above your FOV. You should be able to see into the treeline with relative ease. I don't know if the game simulates your pupils contracting and dilating, or if this just happens because of screen brightness, but it is a thing.

    Status Report - 10 January 2017

Are we going to see fully persistent vehicles on experimental before the stable push? I feel that the low populations on Exp. these past few weeks aren't going to be enough to work out all of the kinks. Maybe throw a new gun onto Exp. to get all the crash test dummies back online...

    How long does unconsciousness last

How long you remain unconscious depends a lot on your stomach contents at the time, and how severely injured you are. If you are sick, you are losing blood internally, and will only wake up if you are fully energized and hydrated enough to regen beyond the rate and/or duration of blood loss. If you are bleeding from taking a hit, you can sometimes wake up on your own and bandage yourself, but it is rare. Wearing the right clothes and not getting sick, and keeping yourself topped off with energy and hydration is basically the only way to survive going unconscious without someone else reviving you. If you weren't rocking bright green bars before you went unconscious, it will probably not be recoverable without another person to forcefeed you.

    SVD in 0.61

Found another SVD in the "double-bunk hall barracks" at Tisy yesterday. @ IMT had to drive up and save my double-carrying buns from a wolf pack, so I wouldn't do something stupid with it. I also found a VSS with a magazine and 3 rounds in it in the "L-barracks" right after we finished with the wolves. @sneakydude I have a feeling you are asking for it. No hand-holding for veterans unless you have gotten yourself sick for the sake of science, sorry.

from fun to pretty much unplayable

Smashing stones randomly until one of them has a sharp-ish edge takes about two minutes. Don't forget to wear eye protection...

Dont wanna make new thread?Use this!

Yes you need gas to run it, but you don't need it running for the chainsaw to knock zombies senseless in one or two hits.

    SVD in 0.61

I know @IMT, I was being a sarcastic jerk because the building in question is neither a tent, nor is it on a ship.

    SVD in 0.61

Are the Captain's tents the ones with the bunk beds in them? Or are they the ones with the desks and pallets in them? The ones with a Captain's hat in them, perhaps? I hear that Captains like to have sleep-overs and tell spooky stories about wolves, that's why they have so many bunk beds in their "tent". I just found an SVD a few minutes ago in Tisy tents. It was one of the tents with a single entryway, the northeastern most one of the southern main section. It is on my back now. But seriously, what the hell is a Captain's tent???

    ISSUE WITH WOLVES!!! MUST READ!!!!

I was just about to log off after looting Tisy base after a restart. I really had to use the bathroom. But as I was making my way through the last two barracks in the base, I heard a bark, and knew that I had to kill them before I could go. So I did... NO BIG DEAL.

from fun to pretty much unplayable

Me neither. At this point it is just a matter of getting the core audience and new players to learn to grow with the game, as it is now quickly approaching a more complete form. I wasn't trying to be dismissive or tell OP not to play, but if OP is having that much trouble with the basics of just getting stabilized and safely off the coast, then OP either needs help, or a lot of hard learning; based on the content of the OP, hard learning seems to not be the first choice. My first two weeks of play involved lots of frustrating deaths, from getting beaten down trying to punch out the first zed I saw, to falling from double red barn stairs and dying, to losing a 9 FPS axe fight to the first person I saw, to falling off a short platform and having to crawl into town to find a zed to finally put me out of my misery. I Got Guud. Even then, I still froze to death a time or two on this Experimental cycle, and still occasionally lose gunfights. I even got killed by wolves twice; once by running out of Dubrovka to the west, completely unprepared; and once at Black mountain castle because I foolishly engaged them in the bowl at the castle entrance with an AKM w/drum. Who cares if the player base wavers during EA? There are still plenty enough players to find a good time, and new systems and features are coming along in a timely manner for the time being. If people have bad experiences and don't have the time to educate themselves on a constantly changing game still heavily under development, then that is their own problem. I'm sorry to say it, but people have to take responsibility for their own decisions and education. If anything is to blame, it is the massive amounts of content creators that glorify certain aspects of this game, while avoiding any mention of the pitfalls. The crappy bug ridden experiences don't get nearly as much exposure as the epic wins. New players often don't know what to expect. And the same goes for PvP centric players who only play each patch as far as the ability to run disposable toons for quick firefights will allow. Sometimes changes to the game interrupt their established habits and they reject it with vitriol. What is to be done about this; stop development???
