Make sure to report public servers that kick for no reason
sneakydudes replied to aurien's topic in General Discussion
You can report till your blue in the face but some of these hosting firms are small income companies. -
This is so cool, thanks OP for posting the link. Looking forward to much more. This also might go good, if coding is open for AI.

I am not sure girth, ill have to play around with both to see what you mean. Explain what is different? Also Please lets keep this to good things in .59 you like. I don't want this into a flaming UI discussion.

[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization
sneakydudes replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
That is one of the best things said, thanks SMoss. I totally agree with this. The "free ride" sometimes gets out of hand. Clans don't even donate to one another too, it gets out of hand there too. Paying for servers are so expensive to maintain. The only time i would expect people to pay, is if they basically ask for services. Like TS, Server rentals, web hosting, etc. I and many others have said this for the last year or longer. Step up and donate to help servers operate. This intern helps Dayz player base grow. This had to be done, in terms of keeping player base high. -
[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization
sneakydudes replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Wow i don't think half of you have an understanding of what BI has done here. Or have an understanding of how modding works. I have a server and i list on my website custom features for donators. The rest have standard things. The money goes towards the server, hardware and features. Its a costly thing to host your own server. $5 bucks donations, gets you a special load out. But this has nothing to do with anything. Its up to the server ops to make it fair, and charge for the server appropriately. They dont want to lose people either, so they devise a plan to make it fair for both at the same time keeping its "Cheap" "Ass" player base. Pardon my french. If i have custom scripts running and i charge for a "closed" server not open to the public should i not be entitled to paying for the hardware in some fashion? We also haven't gotten to the final phase of it all. Do any of you with these negative views ever play arma?? because we have those rights there too. Exile is one sandbox mod, with hundreds of servers, custom loadouts if you donate or special gear. It has no bearing on anyone by that server. So why do you care? if i ask for donations or charge to enter my server. Its not like you can carry away your items and jump to another server. Mods are mods, it helps the community grow. Arma 3 has a huge fan base, and most are developing some amazing mods for free. Charges only really apply to the server costs. Nobody makes money from it, only dayz did in the end. Public, and private hives are totally different. Custom servers are totally different. I need to come up with 150 dollars tomorrow to get a private hive, are you willing to help me? -
Yup, like that. I just felt it was right sided, hard to open the items and do things. It could also be desync. I wont judge it again. Last i speak of it, here. The only time ill address the new UI is when we are in testing for the semi final release. For now, the old ui is working very well and functions fine. Sometimes things will not show up the same as the new ui would. Such as locked doors etc.. small pad lock on old ui, where as open door 4 type thing, but wont open. I was saying function is the best thing, and UI is one of the most important thing in any game. One of our members in the forums brought up a great concept by messing around. I hope we aim for something as well designed look as this. However functions are important. https://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/230476-a-vision-of-what-dayz-10-could-look-like/ This has to be one of the best ui concepts i have seen in a very long time. here is another idea someone posted many moons ago I am sure everything will be awesome.

You just hit the whole thing there. 50% of the bandage, because you wrapped it. Forcing people to carry more medical supplies, i love the idea. I don't think morphine should be allowed for a sprain or break, by itself. I think it should wear off, if used. Where as a morphine injector, and a 50% bandage wrap, or shirt could fix the sprain. Ouch, You have sprained your leg! Ouch, You have hurt your arm! reducing your random % of speed from 1-35% when running. morphine injector % of temp repair to your body, for a short time lets say 10-15minutes. a splint will work as much as the 50% wrap or shirt + morphine injector but both will cause you to lose 1-35% of movement speed when running. over time the heath will return to normal so you can run at high speed. great thread brought up good ideas.

Garages, gas stations on the side of the building in racks. Mechanic shops etc.. I totally agree these parts should be there. The odd smaller part inside the shed or on a shelf. Otherwise tires stacked outside the shed is perfectly fine. +1

HAHAH good video, loved the last part of your tube. Someone left that there, and i think i know whom. A few announced leaving some of there collections for players. .59 and with server wipe down the road its all good. Enjoy guys.

Here is my FPS off the grid. Here is the new UI. loading ammo was crazy hard. finding items, so difficult. I understand its alpha, and things will change. I don't want it to go this way with the -newui Its very difficult to use and cumbersome. I have to be totally honest here guys. Its the wrong direction, and i don't want the devs to work on something people will have issues with. sorry :( edit = because i feel guilty, i don't like it.

I get about 100+ to 200+ in the wide open. with 50 players, i was getting on very high settings 45-69 odd 74 in cherno Now i do not like this new UI. Its very difficult to use. I recommend using the old ui. Please don't take me the wrong way, its critical to the game and this is not ready by far. Infected overloading, + desync the game quite a lot right now, until its fixed. @Xibaroots, you can play any time you wish being its alpha and you have already paid for it. if your not happy with the current playing don't load it up. But you might enjoy it. Wait for stable and the desync fixed. In all honesty i really think .59 will be very good for us. Once the desync is fixed. Man a damn infected crawled towards my buddy tonight on the roof.... I couldn't hit alt f fast enough to show you all... A frigging infected crawled LMAO...

Another Hive Wipe for 0.59...? If so why?
sneakydudes replied to 97ADU Doug's topic in General Discussion
we have to have a wipe, not everyone is in experimental. Plus more gets added and the database will be damaged. We are forced to accept these wipes from time to time. I know it can be a pain, but get used it to. Put some love out there to the Dev's once in awhile. -
[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization
sneakydudes replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
NOOooooo don't feel that way loveafair :( there still will be vanilla hardcore servers. Private might go a different step, depends on what they add. Modding is huge, and attracts tons more players. Look at it this way, when the game starts to loose its flavor, mods brings it back to life. Without modders it gets stale after awhile. Have you tried arma 2, or 3 yet? it maybe not your game but mods brought out the life of the game. It was rather dull vanilla arma 3. At least i felt that way. -

(404 Not Found) for map link. I recommend a couple ones in case you cant find one. izurvive.com and daydb.com izurvive.com allows you to login as a group, auto follow you, and place markers on the map. You can bind this inside steam if you need be. Right-click steam, go to settings, web browser. change to http://www.izurvive.comand volla your there. Alt tab in game pops up the map. For those that have andriod and apple products you maybe able to download the app izurvive.com offers. The dayz wiki is nice too for information. -
[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization
sneakydudes replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
donations, charging for access to the server is the same thing. Its very hard for bi to control this. They are better selling copies then getting in the middle of it. Stealing others code well that's a whole different ball game. btw hi Smoss :) -
[Clarification] DayZ Server Monetization
sneakydudes replied to Weyland Yutani (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Guys, this is for private servers. The ones you pay double for, and can lock, monitor etc.. Please dont confuse public to private. If you code your own server and charge rights to it, its perfectly within the scope of BI rules. Its the same for Arma 3 guys.... -
missed the burlap sack in the shed =D good video

Critical things Dayz need to be a survival game
sneakydudes replied to vgbarbieri's topic in Suggestions
notice all the tension op? most of the 1000 posters are seeing these threads each day. We tend to even get upset at each other from time to time too. Not that everyone are bad people, it just grows on you. -

*sits back eating chips* @op its all good, i read this comment from your last thread :) -
You said it! 4 cans of food within 30 minutes to 1 hour real life time is horrible. 1 can of food should last a person 1 full day, in a survival game. currently everything i eat / catch gives me sickness. Drinking from ponds the same problem. So we don't. I understand many of the things we are going through are test phases, but i really hope they don't put in the food water consumption like this. We all have these arguments in arma 3 too.

I have one, its damaged but found it in the deer stand. @7 you can do tripwires with grenades? omfg i heard about tripwires but not with grenades to it. Man that would be cool to see if it works. Since i love c4 placements. Do watch the next door you open :)

Surv. Found the big tents in the Q hut. Check there from time to time, watch out for snipers. I found one, i don't know if it was the military tent or the vehicle tent. It was black and tons where on the server last night, got in and got out at the nwaf. I did find a bag like your talking about here, in the police area. Was in the jail cell. Small town north west of Berz last night.
