    dying and taking a break are totally 2 different things. Are you sure its really dying or are people just waiting for it to become more stable and more things to do? Remeber hicks even said take a break until its more polished. I have to agree with him, it is overwelming at times. Changes arent easy. and 60fps i gotta agree with you, i should be 130+ in the open, in towns 60 would be great. Just alittle hint even arma 3 shows 58-99 looking at towns, cities, towns etc.. even player made maps do the same.

    not so true lebus, in fact arma 3 proved to bring many back with moding and introduce new people daily. If you give dayz a chance it will bring many back that enjoy new things. Infected always will keep people interested. Sony's version will be standalone only so dayz having the ability to mod, plus run vanilla dayz will overwhelm the steam downloads. If you give people options like this they will take it and come in droves to play. People like me are just waiting till it goes further in development, and I know of many people just taking a small break. Most of us tested and retested items, and just worn out of it. It also costs admins a fair amount of $$ at this time to host dayz SA. I feel this game will explode, and those not getting it at the cheaper price will not benefit from it. I paid 134$ cdn for arma 3 with the dlc stuffs, and it goes on half price and all of a sudden everyone buys it. Dayz is alone by itself in the market.

    That's really good to hear, Epoch is good mind you but not dayz. It does very well at doing their own thing. As I strongly am doing Arma 3 Epoch, its quite different then anything in dayz. The map, is standard, very limited design. But as Epoch stated in 2013 its not about zombies anymore. So yes I agree its totally different then dayz. I am running epoch 3.03 R7 with desert map, and full military type scene. Loads of cool scripts from the community, and just plain lots of fun. Giving the community choice is so much worth it, players will experience hours and hours of fun. Got the Alpha tools out yet????? hint hint !!! wink wink, email is .............. just pm me the moding tools when you get them hehe Keep crossing your fingers guys, all will be good in the future.

    Yippie!!! cant wait actually. Getting heavy into the arma moding now, as stated in the other topic. Should be loads of fun actually. Then we should hopefully be able to host our very own servers like Arma 3 :) See not all of us are bad admins :) we just need a good bec script running, and good security and all should be fine.

    playing arma 3, moding and having a blast. Cant wait for dayz moding and when it goes more stable. I check into the forums all of the time for more release info, updates and critical errors. Decided not to play until we are past "testing the same old" Then Clanz will host another server to the public.

    or these They are not at all like the zeds in Walking Dead or Night of the Living Dead or Maggie. There is no "necroambulist virus" in DayZ. LOL no such thing as Zeds. but I agree with steak 10/10 for reading thread.

    I also think the mods need to look over the arma 3 mod called Enhanced combat movement. It actually allows you to jump over things more realistic. (no where perfect) I am sure a few others would agree, Whyherro123 is correct about gun resting etc.. Besides that mod, there are so many others more realistic to game play then what dayz feels like. These controls and game play have been buggy feeling since the beginning. I hope in the new engine it improves the way it should. If we get stamina updates I am fine with that as long as it doesn't seem to be unrealistic. Sometimes I even find arma 3 unrealistic for stamina. We need the team of devs to improve on many things in this game and get away from many of the arma feel as much as possible when it comes to stamina, and controls. Its sluggish using the keyboard and half the time it doesn't respond. I have never had that problem in arma 3 so what gives? Using Atari configurations from the 80's? just being realistic is all. and I wanted to understand dayz more, and get an understanding of how it was programmed and built. Arma 3 and mods gave me a huge understanding of dayz. Here is hoping dayz gets better then arma 3 :)

    LOL, you still don't have a 6 foot sway. Only in dayz do you sway. Arma 3 mods are even better then the gun control of the dayz. I play both, and want to see the gun action much more like arma 3 because its more realistic. The mosin is my favorite gun, and I like the idea of the single bolt loading. I also like the fact it aims much better then it is. Very unrealistic sway and gun control for many of the guns. If we could only use rocks, tree stumps, fence posts, and prop all guns up I would be happy. Then take away some of the sway, and super heavy breathing, because its so unrealistic. I like to snipe, I like the gun action of many games but I don't like the gun action in dayz yet. When it improves ill be right there behind you all complementing the team on a great job. Just right now, I am with those that don't like the gun play, sway and control of them. We have time for it to get fixed.

    Hate to break it to you but they invented the 10 round mag for it. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVE2L-D4AUY Since the date is well into the future, we have lots of time for new inventions haha and remember its all character animations, with time to reload the mosin the way you all want it loaded. Hitting R is ok with me as long as the animation displays it as reloading bullet by bullet into the magazine.

    Well, you also have to ask yourself are these dev's that program all day or forum mods that post information? You do have to hire someone to handle these PR affairs. I would not want my programmers posting on Images, videos, and all the hyped blah blah. Programmers are that, coders that make the game what it is. You cant expect them to be able to forum hop and expect perfect responses each and every day, week, month. A project leader should not be posting much of anything other then in Dev updates, etc... to have them do random responses is great, better then great about the insides of any game. This is why we have PR people, and Forum Mods to handle the other affairs of the game. Remember this isn't all set in stone, its alpha things do change. Suggest solid examples of what you want information on, and not spam "I don't get my paper in the morning" attitudes. It does help you know.

    and for stinking reports.... do this Devs Its being updated, fools! .....and Devs get back to work, slaves!!!!!! you have no time to sit there on the forums giving us updates. At least you get reports when they do, hell I would be happy if they stop giving us so many details. Around beta would be good for details, alpha isn't so important. Major details are important, but they can be said in the developer's corner. I am happy to say, this gave me the chance to polish up on my programming skills and learn how to mod in Arma 3. I am able to understand Dayz more now, and how it was created. Good job btw :0

    Ah the dreaded Public server admins. The ones whom farm and boot anyone whom joins. Its a matter of time the Devs will put a stop to that too. Sadly, its a way to put them on top. Have everything they need stored away so they can grief the community. Should have been pulled a long time ago. Make it all private, so you cant carry items to different servers. Funny thing is they aren't admins, they are losers behind a paid console, hitting restart :(

    You can create it without admins doing anything, tried tested and known by the devs. The devs need to clear out some of those old bugs. You don't need 10 builds long and keep up voting them. The devs know where to fix, and when to stop. their focus isn't on the problems, its the engine. Once beta comes around ill start helping again locate the problems. Its not that far off really. Just get these zeds working and the physics and I bet most of the problems will be solved so persistence can be worked on properly. I am not spending any more money on testing or reporting, this until its more working to beta. We know what the problems are, all we are doing is repeating the same old bugs that have been there for a very long time. Get my drift?

    Loot explosions, and No loot at all moments. The rest are as follows. Gloves, boots, rain coats, Fire Ext, Hoes, Knives, OH and cant forget handcuffs, More rain coats, Cooking items, Knives (said that already) Its easy to create a loot explosion on persistence, I just want it fixed. I haven't played since then but I am sure nothing has changed. Use to be sunglasses. Then on persistence it was a loot explosion of over 50 SKS because you knew how to make the explosion work. See you have loads of time on your own server to figure these dum things out. It wasn't cheating either, you did it by actually playing. Reminds me of an epoch spawn loot in 50 m from the player thing... With lootspawner script LMAO

    Hey steak, You know when we had our server running we should have named the pvp server US-East Public, that way I would have had more kills for the short time HAHAH its been awhile sup man. How's the server, once it becomes more beta ish we might put it up again.

    I just realized something, try taking all those fireplaces out, stack them around a building so when the next pvp happens you can block them with fireplaces. ive seen it done with vehicles, but I thought of the invisible fireplaces. Works great watching someone run on the spot and you mow them down. lol busted!

    Resenting DayZ

    These days, I find many people are too used to putting in that next cd, cartridge (old school Atari) and hit play. :) Ask yourselves did the Devs do some of this on purpose to get you off the coast, and move more inland to explore the whole map? - To actually not sit on the coast and explore the same old traveled death route! I knew it the first day I played, I felt nobody needed to explore inland to the other mapped locations. All you had to do was gear up locally and kill someone on the highway to electro or cherno. So maybe it is broken and maybe its something you might have to expect down the road. Maybe it wont be so harsh, as some seem handicapped by experimenting with different ideas in these forums. You get used to one method and stay on the same path, mentality! Try thinking of really, how would I do this in real life. Apple trees, grab a handful, run inland if none on the coast, fill up on more apples, and water move further inland.. Volla gear up. The map is 20000? or is that different for Dayz? -Mods? cherno in arma smaller then dayz? anyways point being, try something different if you wish to survive this update. The next update will most likely be different. I think the progress is there, just there is some serious hurdles going on with the newer engine. Wait, it will come in time. After bug testing for over 900 in game hours, you really get an understanding of how things change in dayz. We are not told things, and we are not expected to hear back on our bugs but they do from time to time. Not all get fixed as the main game engine is being adjusted. Some will never understand what its like to make those changes. Everything changes for the dev's. just saying!!!
