No, well maybe yes. I know many many of us took a break from it all. The testing of items just bored me after awhile. I think most of it was the bitching from players about loot this loot that, and the lack of stuff to do. So NO I want to return when we go a tad more into beta or the base building. Maybe moding will be announced more. I like to mod, and script. I am learning about moding so that might be fun. File structure I am used to now. Beta should bring many back, just saying because hopefully by then the Infected return, bug free and items spawn on the ground. Cherno gets a tad boring sometimes. This is why I found myself loading new maps in Arma 3 lol

Posted same under servers, its persistence, you have to try to reload backup. If that fails you have to turn it off then back on. That is seems to be an issue we had back in .53, .54 hard shutdown to spawn loot. New items etc.. usually forced us to clear the database then restore. Did vilayer ever put in the save backup to your local machine yet? Sure would help those restoring items.

SKS and the odd piece of uniform, usually damaged. Rares used to happen on persistence. That was back in .54 that tank seems to be a logout area for server hopers. Good spot to ambush them ;)

Boneboys its persistence, been there since the beginning of 54+ You have to restore and sometimes turn it off in order for it to work right. We used to be with vilayer and had to do it a few times. Sorry guys its the way it is.

You report it, no need to bring it to this forum. We have been dealing with this since before 54 with issues of farming there own servers. You know what to do, and if not you report it to http://www.dayzoverlay.com/report/ No reason to get worked up about an alpha game. Nothing stays on your character long enough to care. Persons lost if found to violate the rules. Move on, most of us report problem servers so I suggest you do the same and put it behind you.

You don't come back, you play the game when you want. Since you already paid for it. Also its alpha not a finished by far game yet. So coming back is a tad confusing statement to make hence the alpha state.

You do have it much worse then I do, I just get dizzy and walk away from it. But not all the time, somedays I can play for hours. My video is adjusted perfectly too, headbob was turned off day 1

You know 21 years in the pc building and I always wondered that, good thing I upsell people the better keyboards and mice :) When I had issues with 2 keys not detecting for WQ or something I take that flabby piece of plastic and throw it. Then I go grab a new 50 dollar keyboard and everything is fine. typing is not the same as gaming.. So most of us would never see this problem, unless you mash keys. When I played FPS games competition style, I would use expensive keyboards. So seeing that on cheap keyboards never happened to witnessed it.

order 250mpbs 20 up (which is awesome) rogers cable in Ontario has it now. Package is still over priced though. Should be less then 100 bucks for cable tv, internet etc... but scammers must be scammers. I ordered just the 100mpbs, and not the 200+ package because I don't need that much yet. When we hit 1tbps then we all can say awesome.

Remember I said Geforce Experiences, you can lower it and gain a whole ton of FPS btw. Play around with it. Sneaks

Have you followed any of the setup guides prior? - Each build sometimes requires some tweaks and improvements. 1 always check your temps, make sure you have it cool enough. 2 Up to date video drivers, g force experiences 3. Loading background items processes. 4. Resolution? 1920 will run a lot more then 1024 thus reducing fps over 1024 mode. 5. zooming in usually always did good for me but since your asking. You actually crop into the images more, thus reducing the fps. Your gaining a ton of resources in a short time. so this will effect your zoom in with a gun, and zoom in with your mouse (normal looking mode). 6. Make sure you run vsync off I believe it was, so long since I tweaked it. 7. Make sure you also setup each setting exactly the way they posted prior, then compare one at a time. Once you get a perfect layout and quality, write it all down for the next time a build is released. giving you exact settings isn't a good solid solution as it changes computer to computer. So I suggest you review the other threads and the utube videos on Dayz FPS performance guides, and best settings for my video card etc... Hope that helps, best advise I can give other then testing it with you here. Post back any problems you see or solutions. Others should be doing the same.

You 1pp people can always switch to 1pp mode and play the game you want, nobody is forcing you. Heck just start a new server up, like the rest of the server admins are doing and Advertise 1pp only. I bet you would get 128 players right off the bat :) Don't leave this up to the other admins to pay the bill, start donating funds together and you will have more then enough people to make it #1 server 1pp online. Taking actions yourself means you will get followers to your 1pp server, run it right and don't abuse it. If people don't donate then they don't care. If 3pp is the only server you can find online, its a good example that it either needs FOV adjustments, or people actually out number the 1pp so much so they don't care to follow the forums at all. I hope you take my suggestions with heart and make a good 1pp server there. I am sure you can do it, just a slight startup costs. Asking the 3pp to switch to 1pp is wrong, they rent the servers. and I totally agree with your post, why I am quoting you.

This is a good topic to talk about. End game will be just what we make it to be. There is no end game boss mob, there is no "Flawless" victory like we are used to in MMO games. These games are molded into something we do, we decide do we want to be a bandit trying to kill as many people, and steal the loot from them, or do we want to be a bush man trying to survive in the woods. Do we want to join a group of players and make a community. This is where clans come into the picture like the movie "Walking dead" you form larger groups and compete against others for territory and resources. Some people feel as though this is grieving but in the end its exactly what will happen in any survival environment. This is not Farmville, this is not Donkey Kong like some try to pretend it to be. This is a survival game of what would happen in an open world alone. You make the choice of how you want to live your life. Only you can make that decision what your end game will be like. If you live 1-2 years without one death then you have done well. What might happen, don't quote me or expect me to comment on it. What will happen is dayz will turn into arma hosting software, and we mod it for ourselves. This is my predictions. I will wait for further information from BI about it. I hope it goes this way to mold the world we want. I just hope we can host it using our own servers and not rented limited abilities, servers. Either way it can be loads of fun for the community. Allow us to lock it, or open it to the public. Install and monitor our own services against hackers. Sneaks

I care that you cheap mugs, get off your arces and start paying for your own servers and host up 1pp. Ill host my own 3pp, so the 5th post in 1 day Not merged into one thread..... clearly showed that nobody did a search, nobody decided to post a new 1pp server for all the people in the forums. I just think its 1 person posting 5 threads clearly trying to forcely put 1pp as the only part of the game. But guess what, you cant change hosted servers =D

My Suggestion, Lock the 3rd Person Camera to Something Around Here. < ------ 25% fov I think it is. Just below the pocket I usually had mine. I never had a problem with it running around. The motion sickness is exactly what you could call it. Many of us suffer from it. Hard to really explain, to those that don't feel it. Games that where 1st person wore me down pretty fast. Once I figured out how to use 3pp, I was able to use it and allowed for more game time. Much of it also has to do with the sway animations in 1pp too. Sometimes games would force that on players. Which quickly would dissolve players like myself from continuing on with it. Not everyone is young, and into console game, like the fast paced arcade style game. Many of us wont even touch those. 4th thread on 1pp actions today, why are these not all in one topic? Even though I agree its a tad different then the rest. Much better topic to respond to, safely explaining 1pp to 3pp reasons and FOV has everything to do with it. Hopefully there is one setting for all, but I doubt it.

Mod was out there awhile ago, posted about seeing yourself die. Very good concept, added so much to the game in death mode. Don't have the link or I would link it for you. It changed the UI, showed you messages, and great sound effects. Perfect for a modded server. I don't like the "Your dead" message either. One of the biggest problems, with the whole death message thing, was 99% of the server messages reviewed by the admin showed 0 messages announced. 1-2 of killed by messages showed up. So it was rather broken. Maybe its fixed now, but I doubt it.

Much like that movie(s) Birds, dogs, etc... Not a bad idea, adds in some extra flavor for a rabid dear. Then opens up the face and sends out an "alien-style" tongue. Adds some fun, and can be a random script when the player is close by, % of spawning an undead style animal. Rats in cities, etc.. another good idea.

No, and I bet this is a 2nd forum account trying to force 1pp use the search function there is tons of threads like this, and tons of 1pp-3pp threads. you should know better then this at 230 posts, that we have talked about this time and time again. just start paying for a 1pp server, like the rest do. Saves you tons of grief, then forcing something on others that have medical issues with 1pp.

400th thread of 1pp, nobody cares man stop shoving this garbage down peoples faces. Some of us require it and get headaches. I have a good sight too, not everyone is trying to exploit the game you know.
