    Specializations are different then crafting. People love to craft, build and create something plain and simple, just this is so far advanced any game creator might not consider it fees-able in dayz 1, maybe in dayz 2 it might hit the table for specializations. Specializations such as gun crafting, gun repairs, smelting, wood working, etc... give people a reason to keep building. Ark on the other hand might be fitted to handle this type of thing. Since they went from dinosaurs to complete building your own home. See they listened to the public mods, and went with it. Its ok for them, but as the road map states they want to complete the game first in dayz. Maybe something they might consider, but i highly doubt it in dayz. Maybe ARKZ type game, could be in the works :) Jking aside, do check out survive the nights.net and see what they have to offer, its more along the lines of what your suggesting. Dayz dev's in a nutshell want you to run around and try to survive. If you have a little hut then so be it. I don't think the dev's are really able to change the roadmap to add in specializations like this. and don't think for one second, i don't like your idea here, sounds like a very interesting concept to add in specializations like this.

    not a good fit unless we are allowed to make our own weapons and fashion steel plates to vehicles. I guess if one was to open crafting so much so then this might fit. As of now i think the goal was to do leather clothing and backpacks and go from there? So right now this is maybe ------------------------------------------------------------------------> this far away from their minds.

    not happening for some time. Hosting is rented game servers. So you have to pay. Otherwise join public for awhile and submit bugs like the rest of us.

    I am looking forward to more improvements, and ill get more thoughts on .59 soon. I enjoyed testing it. I made a huge error, and felt very badly. I shot down a player thinking it was an infected. He looked crouched walking/running and i thought it was a pathing issue. I shot and didnt realize it was a newbie player. I am so sorry buddy :( whomever you are.

    I found it to be laggy of sorts. Low pop server experimental. _its looking very good over all de sync possible. High end system should not feel this way. Once that is fixed, voila back to some good old fun. Here is how i would try... try to get infected to spawn. 1. Once a player enters a "sector" area of the map have infected spawn in 100m, to 1000m away, % of infected up to 1-10 infected. 2. Once the player or players kill the infected, they stay dead for 30minutes or until a new player enters the area. 3. Hordes have the chance to spawn in from 1 to 5 in an single area. 4. Wilderness have a chance to have hordes about 500m away walk in packs of 1-10 If the player runs into a building have the infected, stop dead 5m out, circle the area for about 3 seconds, enter the building if door is open, if closed hit the door as an object. once a new player enters the area spawn the infected starts to move towards the new player. This might stop some of the ghosting of infected through buildings. *One thing it may cause is more freezing from loading. while in town.* While not in town, the 100m to 1000m out will have a slight loading freeze.* Very possible. I am only going on experience in this nature, from a lower end server parked lan based.

    Biohaze wish you would join us, from all of your friends videos sounds like you would be an awesome fit, except the part that many of us will KOS and PVP totally. We don't always kill others though. Either way, if your interested in just hanging out your more then welcome any time. You do sound like a blast to play the game with, as many of us are older and we all tend to play pranks like that. The last time i did something cool, i ran over a guy with the truck by accident, his buddy was trying to shoot me, but accidentally opened and jumped in the truck. I moved real quick and hijacked him to the big city where all i heard was him asking me to stop, STOP please!!! almost cried. Then i hooked up on TS where we had a firing squad ready for him too. It was a hoot, seriously fuxored up man ahahah. I am trying to find the video of it, as i never completed its clip for utube.. Oh and i ran over the other 3rd friend of his too :) Sneaks

    Not to happy with the mp5 as my primary with scope. but it works non the less. i use the ak74u or the mp5 as secondary with my sniper rifle. but things changed so i need to find a new primary now.

    hmm? they do eat people, and we eat them if we want. I think you just forgot, but the infected do or will do all of the above. Its just not as visible as you saw yet.

    I didn't kill him, but I could've. I wish more players out there would see this game as more than just PvP. You just don't have the skills to shoot him or you would have. A screenshot isn't the same :)

Net code will be worked on in beta along with tweaks. Bugs will be fixed more and more. Fixing the same or different bug caused by one problem doesn't solve the timeline. Stamina may have been put off until the render engine and Infected are fixed.

    Over all is the .59 much better as in more things added? over all impressions? I may load up experimental myself and check out what these FPS issues are doing.

    AI is brutal on the servers. Then you have 100 trying to load in or whatever. Then add in more FPS issues on the servers with the cities being as big as they are. Its a problem we have when moding arma engines. We try to make it as enjoyable as possible. If the coding isn't exactly perfect, and the other features are causing issues such as smoke and or moving objects all these put such a huge load on client side and the Server side of things. Adding in .sqf exceptions to throw some of this load back on the client is and always will work. The problem is lower end systems will not run as expected. FPS, low Memory etc... all play a part. Example the new Exile to arma 3. We put in Ryans zombies, AI missions and loot spawning around the map. More then i want but hey it is what it is. When we enter close to a town, or AI mission you start to load up so fast on your PC causing huge FPS drops. It will pause, freeze etc... The server takes a huge 100% spike once in awhile. Top end servers do much better at this. So we try to move the AI to a system like a client but only loading up AI onto that. It helps the over all running of the server. We can add as many headless clients as we want, one for each mission if we care. This would allow us to have more players, less issues with AI load times etc.. Dayz is being designed to not need the Headless client, but run on a higher end server, and most likely share resources from the client so it runs seamless. All this has to be done. The way you stop most of this, is to make sure your client is running clean OS, Enough Memory, Enough CPU power, Enough Video, and a good internet connection. This is all you can do, and adjust the graphics etc.. to help offset the FPS hits. It really is difficult to do for any team. Once they find out whats causing the memory leak so called or damaged file, it will be much better.

    Based on the team size, and the complete revamp of the engine. I expect nothing less of whats going on. I am not defending their time, as i have never had the chance to visit their place of business. BI also redirected some things. New tools must have been made. Really, its hard to know everything behind the scenes. I just know from everything hicks, and the rest have mentioned that they had to rework much of the game itself. So oompah, if i was your boss and i told you to rethink your game now, and add in moding + server type like we do in arma games, would this not stop the game and go backwards to make sure your able to do this? I am not disputing anything you say there, i am merely saying that not each business model can say that things should be up and going right away. Its just going on 2 years not 3. It was a modded game prior, arma 2. They do have a roadmap you can review, it will explain everything they are trying to accomplish in time. They also have not given you the next builds. All we know they could be on build 69 and releasing build 59 soon. So we may all think we know whats going on behind the scenes at BI, Dayz Studios but we do not. We also don't know what the big bosses changed on the team either. As an owner of a small business i can tell you, i handle what 8 of you guys do in 1 day each and every day, and drive 3 hrs back and forth from work. Time is a factor in any business. and to go out and hire 10 new programmers and graphics artists don't really work either. You have to retrain them into your business model. This takes time too. Review Brian hicks is a very qualified individual, don't think he wont be pushing his team to the max soon enough. The road map is a tough to follow design phase any one would not want to follow.

Do you have an SSD drive? it will help big time. 550w, 530r is the aim and or better. Adata appears to have some drives with better r/w

    You got a good system, the cpu is a step up from mine and i will normally get 65-150fps with the 780ti sc card the 900 dollar one still 5th best by standards after 3 years. Ok lets try to solve what is happening here to you. Never seen 20fps unless its a problem with a loading issue on the cpu, graphics. I do recommend bumping it up to 16gb my friend, and you will be very happy. Also low graphics might be the problem. What windows are you running and what graphics driver version do you have?

    I haven't played since .54 i think it was last. I wanted to experience much more then all that testing we did. I also don't want to ruin my experience with the hate for no zombies then yes zombies. I want a more polished experience. Did my testing now taking a break from it all.

    @dethorhyne This is the way it is going to work. You will break a ton of things, and you will get all kinds of support how to do things... maybe not so much because your not offering to show the code. Your tool has to follow one major rule, keep tabs on the settings in the game. Some settings will be added and others will be commented out. You will find it a full time job for the majority of the time keeping tabs on what changes and what doesn't. Github will be your friend for support. You can also move it to there, for added control of the suggestions, and advertisement control. https://github.com/ Your choice to open source it if you want. But remember if you do, you will be supporting questions, on development. I recommend you clean up this topic and ask the dev's to remove its contents. Dayz will not be doing anything less then what arma 3 does, if it goes that direction. You can review those forums if you like. You could also send it to steam, but remember to look at the fine print about anything uploaded to steam can be the property and used by steam. Just an FYI. Being so early in development, it might be good to just destroy this topic post it in github and provide links to it in a different way. Since we dont have a scripts section in the forums. What people dont see wont harm them right now. When the time is right, re post your work. Its not your fault for linking it so soon, just nobody is really ready for any 3rd party mods, or tools yet.

    In the end NO, but at the start you will have doubts. but 1 box of pizza, large order of garlic bread, = more then 30 bucks with a tip. not that cardboard garbage pizza. This is where people dont get it, its a large open alpha that moves towards beta and then release. This is a current time in you dayz life that you come and go. Its a part of your steam package now.
