So i had a chance to test out an older s1155 i7 cpu, 16gb memory, asus pro board, 1tb wd blue, stock cooler. I had a 520ti card in it and it was giving me on its best day 10-28 fps and it was so laggy. So i went out and purchased another card for this machine. It was the new gtx960 SC 4gb card. I was getting 100+ fps look at the water, and from 45 to 80 looking and running through towns and Zel. Dayz i tweaked and tested a new FXAA on normal. Seemed to give me more FPS then before. But most of all i have ran the Booster from Razor, called Razer Cortex http://www.razerzone.com/cortex It frees up some resources in your windows 7 64 bit, not that it does a huge amount but some actually may see improvements. But most of all i wanted to say this card worked very well on the older i7 cpu from ASUS gtx960 SC 4gb card. price CDN was 329 ish Worth it compared to my EVGA 780ti SC 3 gb card thats still ranked 2-3 card over all for 900ish bucks 2 years ago. 780ti still gives me massive FPS, and performs well. I hope that gives you some insides to help give you better performance for your tower. Sneaky Any other questions? ill offer up some suggestions or settings to try. Otherwise do try tweak guides too.

Testing with tons more hours, showing it to be solid fps card at a fraction of the costs to my expensive card. Well worth looking into if you need to upgrade. Remember most Nvidia cards dont require a huge power supply like ATI Radeon does. Sometimes ATI cards come at a fraction of the $$ then you find out i need to buy a 750watt or higher supply. Its a trade off. Would i do it again? heck yeah i would buy this card again and again 80 fps+ to a solid 45 in cities. Unless there is something wrong with the city, where as even the best card caches out at 16fps <------- Serious... not all the time but sometimes.

Sony also did it years ago, blocked how many people where in the game. You also had no idea whom was on the server at any given time. Just saying its been done. Effected nothing at all, other then people reading into something they shouldn't be doing, like the companies politics :) -

Posted wrong topic? or a little side tracked from OP? Explain what this would do to stop server hoping. Best i can get from your responses reduce the stamina to the point it will make you very tired for up to 30 minutes something like that? if you change servers so quickly. HMMM Not a bad idea actually. 1 problem it hinders the person having issues tech, or person grieving issues. However, it is along the same sides as 30 minute wait time to switch servers. Both those can be bad ideas, given that the players have issues with grieving (same as hacks, just a better term for it.) and tech issues, like lag, unstable server etc.. Am i getting it roughly right? what your saying. -

Instead of taking time completely offline, why not post it Server Day Night Players total 50, or 30 or 100 when that comes available. Only sizing up the servers capacity Player names in game Nada, Zilch, nothing. Keeps you in the dark, highlighting more fear on every corner. However when you kill a person UID, players name are identified. (even if they exit) Then the person can SS that or videotape for mods. I do agree bone boys is onto something totally different, but in the meantime this would stop many things. Persistence of items has a whole lot to do with it too. Even though, things changed in development, it still is quite easy to do it. I can agree this is alpha and lots is going on. However, after alpha i hope we can make some changes??? For the sake of the game in general. -
I think its as valid a response as i "don't give a crap in helping development, but would rather whine about it". As soon as .59 comes out, people will return to it. Plus its winter time now, people will return for that fact too. You guys on the nay side of things need to stop reading into stuff so much. You don't know the outcome. Help its development, locate issues, post on them. Stop worrying so much about the policies inside BI.

No your not missing anything cap. Its true, every restart is exactly a new change. For those that don't pvp, don't care... they will be huddled in the "woods playing with the woodpeckers". Tree joke if you didn't get that. Still the same apply to those people, they will hop when its convenient to them. -
Only problem i have is its not 3 years, its just 2 years coming up. Knowing this? is your facts correct about what is going on inside the development or are you just guessing is to why. I agree about the fact that things get turned around in any company once in awhile, a shift in development for say by BI. Also don't forget a transition from rocket to hicks also brought difference of development procedures. This is politics, and its best we stay out of it. Its best to let the team keep developing as much as the can and get us past this alpha. I want the development to continue into the future like the ARMA series did. I don't want to see it die off because people got fed up with the politics behind it all. So this is why i say its best we stay out of it. It will only bring too much negative feedback among users, in and around the forums. We may speculate exactly what is going on with the development, but we really don't know what is happening. We also don't know how much content is finished, and they maybe only fixing the engine to perfection. I know i am staying out of it. I don't want to have another game full of politic bs. Sony online spark any thing? - Ruined my favorite games because of it all.

Its an indirect exploit, when you have the same gear in a different server. You die np gear up in under 1 hr. It wasn't suppose to be like this, but we as players made it happen. I want it changed. -

We as players, are pretty cool at figuring out things pretty quickly. It maybe a WIP but we find other ways to change the system but fast. Today it changes, tomorrow we figure out a system that beats the slow progress of the game. So when the items become rare, then we might not have such a problem with time. I want to see the game slow down, and have you join a server full pop but don't have the ability to hop to a different server and gear the heck up in under 1 hr. If this system continues, it will be a WIP forever. We will beat your system in under 1 day. We don't need hacks or tools to figure it out, we just need time. Truth be told, this should change. Turning time off, not only confuses the players from seeing 500 servers 0 pop and 20 of them just reset. That's your honest problem. -

Logic is this bone boys because you haven't done it. (rightfully so why should you) When the servers restart at 8am opens at 8:01 you hop to another server to get the heli spawns, and the best locations for gear. It also allows the player to keep hoping around until they are decked out to pvp, or simply cheat to a different server (with hacks). Giving them the best gear in under 1 hour of search time. By turning off the time, it stops the people from looking at the 8am lists. 1-2-3 people keeping hoping and by the looks of the servers we have a bunch of filled 30 man servers, and 50 man servers filled. The rest are 1-0-2-3-4 people all hoping to gear up to return to the 30-50 man servers. Hundreds upon hundreds of servers have 1-2-3-4 players in them. Not saying they all hop, but its pretty accurate to say its rightfully so. PSO-1 scopes, some of the best gear available. M4, svd's. etc.. (current patch) I have watched this for so long. It was the best idea i had thought of since playing 1000 hours + you turn off the time, it doesn't show when the server resets. Now the players in the list? that is another tool hopper's use, avoid contact, switch to another server to gear the rest up. We all know Dayz has specific areas where the gear is. We all know its been this way for a long very long time. You hop to gear up to pvp in a different server. I want this to stop. The modded servers wont have this issue. Since the sql hive will no longer be of use. This will only apply to the servers until release of the game and hosting servers. So i thought its best to tell you the truth, i am not alone in this. -

Then take off P=Players lists to increase unknown factor and to fix the what if "8am" problem, change the code to lock the server until then. -

This looks very good. You have really put a ton of effort into this. Thumbs up! -
command /stuck moves you out in the open 10m away. Not teleport you, not respawn you just move you 10m in the open. not glitch you through a building, just simply 10m in a safe spot. At least until release. The command can only be done once a day. So not exploited.
-
HAHAH i love that :) oh spoilers, that's how you do it
-
Yeah it may, already reported awhile ago. TY BB Just thought it would be a good feature to have, like we did back in the 90's with other mmo's and player stuck issues. Its a hard one, considering we are trying to reduce the command line things to open up tons of other issues. What about this? Unless we have a UI button that is able to report Player stuck, it logs the info to the dev's and then cleanly moves you out. under maybe Esc?

Reason i posted this just now, we try to kill ourselves and it takes a very long time to starve. Rocks, houses etc... Clan member just got stuck in a house from walking on a bench. Also warped in a roommate of his into the room. Both now are stuck in the house and we needed to petition this to get him out.

vanilla can be this, but my server wont. I want it to be fun, not run back and forth 5000 times a day looking for just 1 mag.
