    Obtain higher FPS in DayZ

Because it is good advice? Old system: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6 GHz GTX560ti FPS in Cherno: 13-15 if I was lucky- settings hobbled New System: Skylake 6700k GTX980ti FPS in Cherno and everywhere else I go: 60 - all settings to MAX It would likely be more if I turned off vsync but honestly 60 fps is perfectly fine for me at the moment. Everything looks great and it is stable as hell. High end hardware works wonders on this game.

    Obtain higher FPS in DayZ

LOL. "Worst optimization" ? You know the game has not actually been optimized yet? I've same specs as you with exception of 6700k (same Ghz though) - my steam FPS readout is pegged at 60 FPS no matter where I go. Everything set to MAX.

What is a average pc these days?

Average can mean a lot of different things to a bunch of different people. Is mine average? I didn't go SLI but I didn't exactly hold back either. ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 i7-6700K Skylake G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series RAM:16GB EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti w/ACX 2.0+ Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD Seems like the steam FPS counter is stuck at 60 fps, rarely displays anything else. All settings maxed out. Does Dayz have a FPS cap setting? EDIT: Derp. vsync. I'll try it again when I get home.

What are the best PC Specs for DayZ?

Recently ditched my AMD FX-8150 3.6Ghz and upgraded to i7 skylake 6700- doubled my framerates- FPS high 60's in the sticks and 30's in the city. Still using the same GTX 550ti. I haven't done any overclocking or optimization yet. Just ordered the 980ti today. should be here by the weekend. I figure I'll be able to run this rig for the next few years. Looking forward to FO4!

Upgrading my rig with DayZ in mind - AMD or Intel?

you forgot one: SSD ! Made a huge difference for my AMD (FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6GHz) + GTX550Ti machine.

the problem with dayz: not dank enough

my biggest gripe about zombies- even beyond what you mention, WATER! Human bodies whether zombie or infected or whatever do not work without water. You've got maybe 1 week without fluids. After that cells just don't work. There's no way a body is going to run after not having a drink of something after a week. dessicated cells ain't gonna do their thing. No virus is gonna get around basic cellular biology. So unless these infected are popping cans of kvas on the DL, the whole discussion is just silly.

    Disinfectant 100% deadly?

Positive, dragged the bottle icon onto the rags and chose spray disinfectant on rags and immediately got the 'sick' notification. There was no 'I have drank disinfectant' message or anything like that.

    Disinfectant 100% deadly?

I got the sick message immediately after spraying some rags with disinfectant. Nothing I did would help. charcoal, constant eating and drinking only prolonged my life. It took about an hour to kill me. /beta
