*Please read the whole suggestion* So yeah, this would be mostly for RP-players and for those that arrange large-scale battles. These would be kinda like the ones in the military camps, but with some tweaks. First of all, this would be really small and one player could not build it. So, it would be built with multiple items: Sandbags - Crafting recipe: Burlap sack filled from any bare, sandy ground(=No grass, rock etc. materials on the way) Rough planks - Crafting recipe: Firewood cut with hacksaw Camo netting: Crafting recipe: Normal netting painted with black and/or green Normal netting will do, too. So you will need at least 12 sandbags. They need to be stacked in stacks of four bags, so with minimum you would have a wall of 3 piles. Maximum bags would be 48 bags in U-shape on 4x4x4. Note that the bags can't be stacked to the ground before you got at least one full stack of four. The sandbags themselves are the most basic cover. Then you could reinforce it with the rough planks. Final addition would be the netting, which you could use to make the cover station less visible over distance. And if you and your team wants, you can break the cover and deploy it somewhere else. So why would i want this? First of all, it would be so great for battles: You could just stay in cover, shooting without risks. Pretty much the only way to destroy the battlement would be a grenade or massive bullet rain. All in all, this is not a big factor, it would be just a nice addition for RP and big battels. So, what do you guys think? Any constructive feedback is welcome :) Just remember, this is not supposed to be a gamechanger.

It's a pretty difficult situation. If you're in any AF and not on a friendly server, everyone should/will pretty much follow the classic rule: There are two kinds of people in DayZ: Those, who are friendly; and there are those, who have loaded guns and live.

Any interest in trading those ammo boxes for something? I need empty ones, so you could keep the ammo, no problem. I need 2 boxes. Hit me with a PM if you've got any interest.

Croupier/waiter vest maybe? :D And how about the leather vest worn by bikers?

How about some kind of tribal facial tattoos? Like, you know, they could be made with the ones that kids play with, the ones you put on your skin and hold a wet piece of paper on it for a moment? :D Also, how about camo facepaint? Those that are used by military, usually green and/or black?

And this is why the animation/whole action would take quite a long time to do. Or maybe there could be some sort of manual etc. only found in military and industrial loactions, which you would need to change the barrel? I mean, the survivor would need a guide to do it. If you didn't have the manual, the survivor would say something like ''I don't know how to do that'' or ''I need a manual for that''?

DayZ can be any kind of game you want, if you have your own server, at least. I have done just some basic sniping with friend or two, but also been a part of huge organized battles with like 15-20 people on each side. Those make an epic scenery: 2 big groups of survivors meet and a huge battle ensues. You can play DayZ in any way you want. But for the different ammunitions, i got an idea: What if you could modify the barrel you're using? You would need a screwdriver and a wrench to remove the current barrel and to attach a new barrel for using different ammo. That would of course change the stats: Other, bigger caliber ammuniton may make more damage and have slightly longer effective range, while they force the weapon to have higher recoil. Other, smaller ammo types may have lower damage, but lower recoil and less spread, too. Maybe you could even suppress the SMG with the smallest ammo types?

Hmm. I'm not saying yes or no to this one, as i don't know, but i think the PPSh was partially designed based on the Finnish ''Suomi-Konepistooli'', which uses 9x19mm?

How about dis one? One of the most famous Soviet SMGs ever, it has been manufactured over 6 million units(including all the versions using different ammunition). This is pretty much a legend. High fire rate, medium recoil, high damage, medium magazine and low accuracy. The very special thing of this one would be the thing i mentioned, it could have versions using different ammuntion: 9mm, .45ACP, 380 Auto, etc... Any feedback is appreciated! c:
