    Today (Yesterday now, but the last time I played DayZ) was my first game. Looted some buildings, ran through the forest for multiple hours not knowing where I was going, then looting some more houses and not encountering one zombie or player. Hah.

    I've just started my first game yesterday, and spent a few hours gearing up, but I can't seem to find ammunition for the derringer or crossbow I found. . . Everyone says "NW airfield has all the gear" but the trick is getting there. Anyone know a way to pinpoint your position on the map? Also, after about three hours of gameplay, I did not run into one player or zombie. . . no entities. Is this normal, or was the server glitched? Really appreciate it. (Edit: This is the standalone version)
