Found my first mosin. \o/ Got it some ammo went afk in a bush outside a small town. "you are unconscious.....you are dead" Found a truck, figured out how to get in and out and drove off towards airfield. Skidded off road into woods and couldn't get it back up the hill.....slashed the tyres in temper.

Doh! wish I'd known that! Thanks for the tip! Mind you I always make sure I have the sticks & rags to make a splint now.

A noobie here: Read about going inland after spawning, so duly did. Found a barn and broke a leg falling off stairs. Spent the next hour crawling towards the coast, hoping for a Z or player to kill me. Finally met a player asked him to kill me, but got knocked unconscious and had to crawl another 30 mins until a Z killed me. Next day been heading to NWAF, but seen no-one no matter what server or how full. Got an auto-shotgun & ammo....let's see how this goes.
