Found a guy in Solnichniy while I was passing through and he asked if he could roll with me, I showed him where some good loot was and had him a nice backpack, hunter pants, hoodie, and food when we were attacked by a zombie, I ended up getting hit by it while trying to kill it and went to bandage myself only to have him begin punching me, apparently he didn't know that you can quickly cancel the bandage action and motorcycle helmets make it a lot harder to KO someone with just fists and I got up and told him its on now, he ran outside but I popped him in the leg with my repeater, bashed his head in with my axe after telling him what a dick he was. Yeah but see I don't know if thats it, every time I've had that bug I get a "My leg is in pain" "My leg is broken" as I die, SS related. There was no message for this, just dead, like I got shot in the head but you generally hear that don't you? If not the gunshot then the impact? Only thing I can figure is that a really calm and collected guy came around the corner while one of us was in desync, saw me, popped me in the head, and I died before he ever even rendered on my screen. Not super likely but its possible. Yeah I think this will be a great feature, though I wouldn't mind being able to see who killed me, or at least with what weapon.

Yeah we've all been there, I personally never enter into any action that leaves me vulnerable around strangers. I've even made people bandage me at gunpoint because you just can't trust anyone.

If the sound of gunfire right next to me doesn't hurt my ears then my volume is not up to loud, anyone who has been within 50 yards of a gas station explosion knows it waaaaaaaaay too loud.

One thing I would LOVE is if we could turn down the gas station explosions, I was trapped in the second story of a building in Berezino right near the gas station, had guys outside shooting everyone they saw and I had no way to escape without being seen so I was waiting them out when suddenly one of them let loose on the gas station, I had my headphones up loud so I could hear them coming up the stairs and it damn near blew my eardrums out. The gas station proceeded to explode for the next 10 minutes as I waited for them to leave, it was awful.

Twice in the last two weeks, first time I was on top of the fire station when suddenly "My leg is in pain" "I think my leg is broken" You Are Dead. Second time I was running down the tracks north of Berezino on a rather full server and had a buddy with me when suddenly the same thing happened, heard no shots, heard no impacts, and my buddy said I just fell down and died.

I had a similar experience with a hacker but it sounded like he was punching me hundreds of times per second for like two or three seconds and then I went unconscious. He was mad because I shot at him when he was trying to show me his hacks.

My only gripe with zombies is that they can hit behind them, like when they swing in one direction it creates a sphere of hits around them and if you are within the sphere, even if they are lunging away from you, you still get hit. That gets on my nerves. Oh and zombies who hit me through walls, nothing more annoying than that, like when they are just standing outside of a house and can hit you in any room, any floor, anywhere.

I've never found an M4 at a crash site, I've had about 5 of them so far and all of them came off people I killed. Don't matter how rare your gun is, when I slay you with a double barrel 12ga you'll be just as dead. The M4 is alright but it makes you a target, every person who you see will want to kill you for it, you WILL get stabbed in the back if you trust someone while carrying an M4. I honestly prefer to stick with the low level weapons because people generally won't kill you for them. This new pump 12ga is a great gun for that, its weak for a shotgun but I love its capacity and fire rate.

If you really don't think duping is back then consider this, my friend and I heard lots of M4 shots in electro, we followed them to their source and killed two people, both with M4s which were exactly the same except one had been painted green, of course thats not too much of a warning sign, lots of people have M4s, could be a coincidence, well then we noticed they were both wearing Smersh Vests with Backpacks attached, I took a SS as proof. The best part? I had the pump shotgun and my friend had a Mosin, they got the drop on us and actually fired first through the windows and we still managed to break though their locked doors and put them down without even taking a single hit. I didn't get a SS of the second player as she crawled outside before I finished her off and the freshspawns stripped her clean but I did grab her M4 off of her and her gear looked nearly identical to what this guy had on, smersh vest and backpack, lots of yellow boxes with ammo boxes inside, I was sort of trying not to stay out there long cause the place was crawling with people and zombies alike. Was a legit awesome operation, big thanks to Tony for the help, that was some hardcore playing.

Well Non Standard Response = Standard Operating Procedure is how I say it but thats pretty true as well.

He said "it could nearly be eliminated from the game" not "The game could be perfect and have no hacks or cheats or exploitable bugs in any way". Take a game like Planetside 2, lots of players, online, I've only ever seen one hacker/cheater in like 500 hours of playing it. I'm 200 hours into DayZ SA and I have found 4 hackers and about 7 people I could confirm were duping. It cannot be removed entirely but it can be trimmed waaaaay the hell down and thats what is happening right now, they are working on it and eventually hacking and cheating will be rare in this game like it is in most other reputable online games. Duping isn't hard or something that requires a massive amount of work and planning, it is simple and easy right now and a lot of people are doing it. My video should be proof enough of how easy it is that one guy can sit on top of a tower and just duplicate his inventory for two hours to never run out of ammo for his M4. I do have faith that they are trying to fix it though because they understand it is game breaking and will murder their reputation if it is allowed to continue. Over the last week I have seen five people in newspawn areas with M4s and bunches of double mags, this isn't just something that happens fairly, these are people who are not worried about losing their super rare gun because they have a bunch of them hidden in tents all around because they can duplicate them at will.

That is correct sir. Everyone loves in their own special way. I wouldn't call myself a bandit, I'm not like most bandits. I take no joy in killing but I find great happiness in doing things unconventionally, NSR = SOP.

I've set things as low as possible to get the most FPS out of the game, FPS drops in cities is like my #3 highest cause of death.

Alright first things first, the only weapon you need to try and kill a zombie with is the: Pickaxe, Splitting Axe, Sledgehammer, Fireaxe, all in that order. The only other substitute is the regular hammer, one or two hits to the head knocks them down and then you can bash their head in with it but this method can be very tricky. If you don't have one of the weapons mentioned above then just run in a house, have the zombies follow you in, keep dodging them, get them into a room, run out, shut door, close all doors to house, continue looting. Zombies respawn every couple of minutes it seems so don't waste time killing them unless you have a good weapon, just lock them in a house. Another thing you need to understand is the way zombies follow you, the zombies rely like 90% on line of sight, when a zombie can no longer see you it will run to the place you last were and wait there until it sees you again, the best way to get zombies off your ass is to run through thick trees or bushes or around buildings and just keep running, hold alt to enable free look so you can look behind you to see if they are still there and if they have line of sight. As for food, well, playing on full pop servers as a fresh spawn can be a challenge for new players, try going to the server page and picking a server with few or no people on it so that you can familiarize yourself with the game a bit. Wells are broken right now so make sure to stop off at any pond or stream you see for a drink, just drink until you are stuffed. Fruit also gives hydration and canned goods do too but to a lesser extent. Just about anything can open a can of food, even a fire extinguisher, the amount of food in the can will vary depending on what you use to open it, the can opener is the best leaving 100%, the screwdriver is second best leaving 95%+, the sledgehammer and axes do okay but anything else is going to leave you with like 30% or worse. If you are starving then stay on the coast, the towns are pretty close together with lots of houses in between on the coast but the loot is never that great, once you have some food and drink stocked up then head inland. Last tip, familiarize yourself with the map and the town names, town names can be found on signs coming into or leaving the towns and on train stations, here is a good map: http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#6.132.100 My first few people died of basic things like blood loss from zombies, starvation, and hypothermia as well, when I learned to use the map and use proper weapons/tactics it really turned my survivability around, I've only died to players and glitches ever since. Quick edit, I find that it is much easier to kill zombies with melee weapons when you are in third person, due to the way zombies often run in bursts it can be kind of hard to keep up with them in first person. Try fighting in third person.

No I wanted to ask around here first, see if maybe it was a GPU issue or driver issue that is known before I started a bug report about it.

I've never been locked in myself but a few days ago I was running through Kamywobo (or whatever) and found a dude just standing in the jail cell of the police station, knlgamer his name was, he didn't respond to voice or text so I shot him in the leg twice with the pump shotgun, it did nothing but ruin his pants and make him groan (is that shotgun weak as all or is it just me?). I stood there thinking of what to do with this man and then I felt a sort of fondness of him, he was the first player I'd seen in hours so I stuck him with the stun baton four times (which did nothing) and then I put that away and punched him in the face once causing him to collapse instantly, fists for the win. I handcuffed him, bandaged him, undressed him, and force fed him all of the food in my inventory, I then gathered all of the food from the town and force fed him that, knlgamer was a tough sort of man, never spoke, never moved. I then felt rather guilty for the abhorrent way I had treated my new friend so I went out and found all new clothes for him, I gave him cargo pants and a hoodie, a nice little red cap and a good pair of hiking boots, I filled his inventory with splints, food, and other basic supplies. I left 60 rounds of .357 magnum on him and locked him in the jail cell, I placed a sledge hammer and a repeater just across the room out of his reach and locked the rest of the doors and left. If he ever came back from his AFK adventure then he likely was not pleased to find himself handcuffed with a broken leg locked inside a police station.

So I've played this game for about a month and only found my first hacker three days ago, since then I have been killed by three more, all on different servers. What is causing this influx of hackers and what is being done about it? My first hacker was just some pantsless dude clipping through walls and shooting at us with a double barrel shotgun, after 10 minutes of failing to kill us with that he just started dropping explosions. Second hacker never showed his face, just blew me up, third one was what I think was a hacker but I can't be sure, I was just running along and then all of the sudden all of my limbs were broken and then a few seconds later I died, and my final hacker was just now, using speed hacks and explosions and that thing where they punch really fast or whatever. He asked me to come outside and see some cool shit he can do but I had gone to the coast fully geared to die anyway so I figured why not try my luck at killing a hacker, he was super pissed that I shot him and he blew me and four newspawns up lol. So, sorry to the guys who were following me around for food and those weapons I was taking you to, when opportunities fall in your lap like that you gotta take em, hope I didn't get you all killed.

Died this way multiple times, hell I died this way while running down the railroad track, for me it most frequently occurs on top of fire stations.

Not as far as I have seen, the load time seems to depend on how full the server is and how much stuff is around you, try logging out in the woods away from this city next time and see if that helps, I notice that if I log in the city it takes me a while to load everything back or even be able to move, very scary.

I've been having this issue as well, seemingly at random the game will just start dropping FPS until all of the sudden it is frozen for anywhere from 2 to 30 seconds. It happens in the woods, it happens in the city, it is completely random and to other people I continue doing whatever action I was doing before the freeze, like if I am running I continue running. It happened in Cherno the other day when me and this dude where having a stand-off, in game communication still worked and we determined that we were both frozen and agreed that whoever unfreezes first should just walk away because it was unfair. I unfroze first, I just ran away.

I see this bug a lot but right now it has me stuck, hopefully I can get some help. Sometimes storage containers don't show items that are in them, this is most commonly seen in the red medical bags, they will appear empty until you either move an item into them or place them into another form of storage, well I am experiencing this same issue right now except it is happening with my tent. I believe my tent is completely full of various items (as I left it a few days ago) but it shows up empty, nothing can be moved into it so method 1 for making the items reappear is not possible, the tent cannot be placed into my inventory until I can pack it up, I cannot pack it up until it is empty, I cannot empty it because I cannot see whats inside it so method number 2 is out as well. I really don't know what to do at this point, I'd really like to be able to get to my gear or at least get my tent, the reset is tomorrow and I don't want to loose my tent so if anyone can help me that would be very much appreciated.
