I agree. everything just looks "abandoned" currently. The only real "ruin" is the crashed plane in the hotel in chernogorsk. and broken windows and such. nothing else.

If we add in "too many explosives" this game will just turn into the arma 2 mod, which is like "soldiers vs. zombies" we don't want that, so instead, all of these bombs would ALL be handcrafted, and at the same time; pre-made ones would be EXXTREMLEYY RARE

These guys could be anything from dupers. They could be just REALLY REALLY no-life gamers that take games too seriously, or they could just "hack" those items in the game. Ive seen actuall real mod tools, you could be in a session for only 10 seconds and have everything ANY dayz player would dream of. But this does ruin the game, but then again go along with it, they are a successfully formed militia in the wasteland. just "role-play it out"

I believe that standalone needs to sound more "alone" and with this music its not. That's what separates standalone from other games.

the suggestions about the "trails" and such cant be added in currently. the engine that dayz currently runs on cant handle it. BUT when they start to use that different engine they've been speaking of, definitely the tracking suggestions will be possible!

There is currently no way to fix it unless you do something on accident. you either have to use the scope how it is and just "interpret" where the middle line would be, or just wait till you find another scope. if this bug persists on all mosin scopes. definitely look for a solution. because chances are I'm wrong.

I can give you a PRISTINE bipod and scope that I have been carrying around with me for some time. But we would have to meet up on a server to trade. I also have a few other items like a green and beige ski mask, and a ballistic helmet I don't want anymore. Send me a message with your steam name, and we will talk from there.

If you think about it, that airstrip is close to the coast, so that means people could access it faster and easier, and in real life items don't just "respawn", so if its took from a location, its gone. So if the NE airstrip was easy to get to, a lot of people would go there, if a lot of people go there, there wont be as many items, and if there aren't that many items, then there is less for you to choose from, don't let there be less for you to choose from, switch to direct TV. No but seriously, just deal with it, want better loot? head to the West airfields.

I love it when you think you hear someone when you don't want to, so you get that feeling in your stomach and panic, no other game gives me that feeling!

You have some balls! I'm the opposite. I love running around in big cities in full servers, to maybe kill bandits and be a hero, or meet new people. But if I'm fully geared I try to NEVER find another player. I have been "fully geared" with my current character for THREE WEEKS. and the only two players I've seen was this one guy in berizino who "since he couldn't hear me" pulled out his gun, I already had my .357 in hand so I put for rounds in his chest. I panicked and ran, the second guy I found was at the SW airstrip that I looted when on the way to the NW one. anyways the player was friendly and was like "hello" I said "don't try anything" and when I heard zombies outside he said "carful there is zombies out there" I opened the door, killed 4 zombies with my axe. and ran off into the woods after dropping two pristine cans of tactical bacon on the ground for him.

What I do is to not aim for a weapon, then you will find one in no time! if you go around thinking I have to find a gun" you NEVER do, but if you are thinking about food or water, eventually you will find a gun, ammo, mags, you name it. Its just the way the cookie crumbles! ;) :thumbsup:

I almost have a heart attack now if I even THINK that a person is near me. I have aviators, a pristine ballistic helmet, a pristine green ballistic helmet, a gorka military jacket, TTsko pants, black combat boots, a uk tactical assault vest, a black firefighters axe and a black mosin with ALOT of ammo. If I die, it would kind of be good because I could play on large servers again just to have fun, but to go on a large server right now, would just be a death wish.

Ok so I'm thinking of being that type of character that loots small towns and such and goes back to "his little camp up in the woods" with his campfire, and his tent with supplies in it, etc.. But I dare not hunt for a tent if all that is going to happen is ill place a tent, put TONS of loot in it, leave the server and join back and finding out someone found my tent and looted it. What I'm asking is technically two things, 1. Will a tent basically "leave the game with me" and when I come back on that same server it "respawns in the same location with all my stuff" or if it will stay there ALL NIGHT when I'm sleeping, allowing a potential player to stumble upon it and take whatever he pleases. and 2. If I join a "persistence on" server, and place a m4 in a bush in the middle of nowhere, will it stay there between server restarts? and until another player finds it? The reason I ask these questions is because I would like to have a FULL OUT camp, a camp with a tent, a nice campfire, things in the tent and things on the ground surrounding my tent. But if I make this "awesome camp" and I leave the game for 12 hours and join back. I want my things to still be there, and the only way to guarantee that, is to know if the tent "leaves the game when I do" So any answers?

Amazing video, definitely a great experience to encounter in DayZ. I wish I could trust others and interact with others, but I have way to much things to even risk talking to someone else. When I get my dayz series started, I will definitely let you know.

I never go looking for helicopter crash sites, but if you find one, MAKE SURE someone isn't just waiting for you to just go up to it so they can kill you, but ive found three grenades, a m4a1 with two full mags, and 60 extra ammo. with some pristine attachments, so they are DEFINITLEY worth the while!

Either somehow you got killed as your character was despawning when you logged off, or something technical had happened and the server hadn't caught up with the database and stuff. Just make sure you are not the first to join a server. And make sure you join a official or semi-official server.

Its because server hopping is one of the most risky things to EVER do in dayz, because other server hoppers aim for low pop servers. You got shot by another player who had the same intentions as you.

It depends on what you are doing, if you are just going town to town, carry food, you never know when you wont find food and you are hungry..

The game is in alpha, but the dead honest truth is you have to learn to deal with it. You spawn and get killed by a zombie, well shucks, just respawns and keep playing. Did you think it was supposed to be easy?

Because that would ruin the game thank you very much, this game is about realism and role play, its not call of duty.
