I did that on purpose. How else are people going to read it to solve my little problem?

Anyone ever discovered a building with a ridiculous amount of loot?
therandomredstone replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Wow.. That loot is INSANE. I cant wait till I find a server with "undiscoveredness" like that.. wow. -
I said, if you get a computer with a good (gaming) graphics card (Nvidia GForce) They almost ALWAYS come with good motherboards, cpus, PSUs, and everything else for gaming. So nothing I said "isn't true" because I already stated correctly what you said "wasn't true"

My personal opinion, you should've researched dayz more and its requirements, and you should of looked at your computer a bit more before buying it. Just because the computer is expensive does NOT mean it will play games good. It might actually be the total opposite. The hard truth is, either get a new computer, or don't play dayz. When you look at the computer you are buying, my opinion is get a one with a NVidia G-force driver, and 10+ GB of ram. computers that carry this, always have the right specs for everything else in the computer, just bu a computer with a NVidia G Force driver pre-built into it, with 10+ GB of ram, and everything else tends to fall into place. My computer (NVidia Gforce) has 16 GB of ram, and every game I get (even dayz) I can play on the HIGHEST settings, (practically any settings I want to) and I will experience NOO lag..

Hang around airstrips, you'll find one eventually.

Virtually, in DayZ a map would take up one slot, and a can would take one slot, but if you think about it, you could fit WAAY more maps in a backpack, than cans. So I don't know why they shouldn't implement half slots in DayZ, it would make inventory organizing a bit more easy in some situations, and harder in others, which is more realistic. And obviously, a small item (map) wouldn't take up as much room as a bigger item (canned food) I don't know, just maybe something to think about..

Why are the devs making the gaming so diffcult?
therandomredstone replied to Asheville44's topic in New Player Discussion
Your style of play is more Call of Duty. If you cant handle having to actually be good at a game to play it, then go play something else. If your good at this game you can last as LONG AS YOU WANT without a gun and transportation and good gear. Spawning with a gun would ruin the game. The "devs" will never make this game the way you want it to be! Suck it up and go play some team fortress 2 or call of duty. Get away from games that actually require time and skill to play.. smh, some people.. -
Ok. So currently, the game is AMAZING and really realistic when it comes to "weather" and "graphics" and "the beautiful horizon" but there NEEDS to be a few things to make it feel more "scary" and "gritty" and "apocalypse" 1.There needs to be more of a "cloudy" aroma with "the sound of leafs when they roll by" 2.This will REALLY spice up player's senses in the game: "your walking through a big field, and the wind starts whistling and howling." players will really stay on their edge 3.Simple BUT VERYY effective; flags.. there needs to be "torn flags blowing on their poles in the city's" the animation could be like a gif, or it could be complicated and move when "the wind blows" players could look at the flag and "reminisce" which will increase realism in curtain factors 4.When its cold, the player needs to be able to "exhale those Smokey clouds" because in reality if its cold, you do that when you exhale out your mouth. Just a few things that would make the game a bit more realistic. And add new factors to the game, with more new possible experiences for players. Cheers! stay warm and don't lose your beans! ;) :beans:

Ever need help from another survivor in DayZ? Ever want to lure a friendly victim? Well this is how! Ok, your running through the woods, and a zombie sneaks up behind you and breaks your knee cap, ouch right? but after you kill that zombie, what now?? Your stuck in the middle of the woods and you cant walk, oh that's right! ill just scream for help.. HHHEE- oh wait.. I cant, because if you over 20 feet from me, you cant hear me.. If yelling was implementing, you could... You just found a gun and you feel powerful, you snuck up in an abandoned school, stuck your head out of a window and yelled, HELPP SOMEONE HELP, a man in the tree line screams back "STAY THERE!!' your heart is pounding.. you get into position in a vantage point by the entrance, he comes in, and BOOM. there's a corpse, with a bunch of food, ammo, and supplies. How it would work: I play with a controller with a 3rd party program called Xpadder. (http://xpadder.com/) so I don't know what you press on the keyboard for direct communication, but you'd have to "double tap a button" and the direct communication sign will be bigger, (so you know you player is yelling whatever you say) this would be one of the most effective, game changing things you could add in DayZ *cough *cough (Dev. Team). Not much more I have to say about this topic.. if you do please comment below... And hey.. You!!! FORUM TEAM.. yeah I'm talking to you... Forward or send this topic to someone who can let the dev. team know about this... Helloo? hear what I'm sayin? Thanks for reading! Cheers Mates! Stay Warm and Don't Lose Your Beans! ;) :beans:

Ill message you my steam name, we have a group of veterans, you see. We need a student, someone to come with us on bandit-killing raids, helping bambi runs, getting into fire fights. So ill message you.

this is about surviving a zombie apocalypse, not its not called "soldiers vs. zombies" like the mod should be. Military clothing isn't a priority for the developers, they are adding more civilian clothing, though.
-
What I do, is I head up towards berinzino/lumbermill area, and I loot the town, I usually leave with a melee weapon, food, a backpack, and a few useful supplies and clothing items. Then I head north to the crashed ship, I loot that and ALWAYS find a gun, more food, med supplies, more clothes. after that, after looting the ship when im done looting berinzino/the lumber mill, I head directly west, once im in land about 5 miles, I find a town, loot it, then find out where I am, from there I head to the NW Airfield, it ALWAYS has good loot, im a veteran (dayz mod to standalone) and im always well set in 10 minutes, fully geared in 2 hours. Ammo you will find along the way to the airfield, guaranteed.

I have 300 rounds with my magnum...My firefighters axe is getting lonely, staying on my back.

Before we start... I have currently 70 hours in DayZ, I like realism, but still I only have roughly an hour in the night. why? Not because server's time passing is too slow, its because the servers reset, when its sunset, what there should be, is after a reset, the time is the same. Enough said Lets Begin: I never hear crickets in DayZ, the nights are quite and lonely, which is suspenseful, but not enough on edge. Add in crickets: Crickets will make you feel more alone, which leads to more suspenseful, on edge encounters, with alive or undead. Wind: I already posted a topic about wind and such, but during the night time, imagine, a long, steady howl of wind, then at the bottom left it says: "I feel a chilly breeze go through my clothes", or "I feel the chilly wind against my exposing skin. That would sure make players feel more alone. The Trees: In real life, a rustle of the trees at night will scare the heebityjebbitees out of me. Why not in DayZ? a simple tree animation/gif, with a sound file. Gunshots: When a player shoots their gun, (no one knows why ;) ;) (dev team/realism players)) at night you can faintly hear gunshots from players, x5 times farther away, it would put players on their edge way more, and lead to more potentially hostile encounters. What was that?: If a player is near, or there's a small 5% chance, that you will hear a un-identifiable noise, and you could either stop, then go to find out what it was, or stop, panic, then run. Just a few things that would make night time in DayZ a bit more.. pleasurable.. Cheers! stay warm and don't lose your beans! ;) :beans:

that would be good in a few ways, but videos are supposed to take you away from the real world, and parents wouldn't approve of your idea. roommates, neighbors, and dogs wouldn't either

How do I not panic/shake when I get in a gunfight?
therandomredstone replied to cheeseburger8's topic in New Player Discussion
the reason why he pulled out his gun was because you re loaded, he thought you were gonna put a round into him. -

I am a DayZ veteran, from the mod to here. I've kept my fully geared character for over two months now, but in the beginning of standalone, I was the same way, but what I did was went on a full hardcore (1st person) session with my "new hardcore character" went up, talked to people. The reason you are shaking and stuff is you don't quite know how easy it is to kill others. When you come across a hostile player, if you have a weapon, or a gun, or your fists, just try to kill them, and if you have more stuff on your regular mode character, naturally you wont be scared in hardcore because "hey if I die I still have my other character" so after you see how easy it really is to kill others, you'll not shake as much in firefights!. (Oh btw to anyone who thinks hardcore mode is dumb, I played it once for a good 3 hours straight, and its quite amazing, even though you cant see everything, neither can other players..) -
Massive loot in normal server, why?
therandomredstone replied to seokoner's topic in General Discussion
Ok, its a persistent bug nothing to worry about. either items aren't despawning on restarts, or the game thinks more items are gone then really is, so it just "floods loot everywhere" but I really do like this server... What's it called? id like to play on it. -
I thought this topic was going to be more popular.. I guess ill have to "post it again"..

I think that the Dev. Team is putting all their resources in the Standalone. I think they have a small branch, that are just fixing buts for the Arma 2 mod. Sorry Mate. Cheers! Stay Warm and Don't Lose Your Beans!

Handcar as a vehicle on railroad tracks

this idea is AMAZING... and in reality if you had that and you wanted to, youd just snuggle up in it and sleep.. perfect.. -
Fighting zombies has been a major issue in DayZ Standalone currently... But I PRESENT TO YOU.. THE SOLUTION!! So lets get started.. :) Lets say the time it takes a zombie to successfully swing and hit you is 3 seconds. When you fight zombies, every SINGLE TIME they are always swinging at you when you are hitting and causing damage to them. What should be implemented, is sort of a "flinch" or "jolt". When you hit a zombie, it resets it's hit counter (3 seconds) back to zero. So a zombie is about to swing, but you punch it, so it flinches, and you keep hitting it, so it KEEPS flinching which keeps the zombie from being able to even lift its arm to hit you. This would make zombies wayy more easier to fight and kill, and will allow even the most bambiest of bambis to take out a zombie with their fists. But it would take time, and if this is implemented they would be able to add more zombies in the game, since its considerably more easier to kill them. Currently in city's there (at most) are 4-8 zombies. Because any more zombies would be overwhelming if you only had a dumb pitchfork, but if they were this easy to kill, they could add another 5-8 zombies to the zombies that are already there! That would make a zombie around every corner, so running straight through a town would make a pretty decent horde be behind you. But then they would have to make it to where its much harder for zombies to see you. So if your crouching and walking behind a zombie, it cant turn around and charge at you, but if you were walking or jogging behind it, and it just heard you it would go to "search the area". This is in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. So if the zombie's "search and kill" method was the same as in TWD:SI, the game would be THAT much better. Considering the fact that if a zombie is 300 yards in front of you and your just walking and looking at it, it wont turn around and spend a minute running towards you, that's just stupid. This is pretty much THE ONLY change that they have to implement in our dumb zombies. If the rumors I heard about DayZ Standalone getting a different/better engine, these brilliant ideas would be THAT much easier to implement in DayZ. Dev Team, Forum Team, if you are seeing this, then show/send it to your supervisor or a higher-ranked member of your group. Someone that can make a difference HAS to see this. This text above, will be DayZ's savior. Cheers! Stay Warm and Don't Lose Your Beans! ;) :beans:

One of the more important suggestions a dev could read. Will literally increase the game's chance of success two-fold. (Seriously.)
therandomredstone replied to choobie's topic in Suggestions
You've really thought about this haven't you? While im not sure about them implementing takedown animations. I do know that they are going to fix the melee fighting with zombies. What I was thinking about was when you hit a zombie, it resets the amount of time before it can hit you again, ex: a zombie is about to hit you, but you hit it, it "jolts" or "reacts" to the punch, and the time before it can hit again ex:2 seconds, is reset, so that means a zombie couldn't hit you or even swing at you when you are hitting it! Oh my GOD.... this is how they are going to do it.... Jesus god.... YESS A SOLUTION!
