Bohemia is going to get a new engine for DayZ Standalone, one that is not linked with the ArmA Franchise. Anyways, once this new engine is added, there will be zombies on every corner, it will make stealth more of a necessity, and every time you are about to step outside, you reconsider because in a matter of seconds, a swarm will be after you.

A bug that truly needs to be fixed over the rest
therandomredstone replied to CanOfTacticalBacon's topic in General Discussion
I love your name btw, stay active on these forums, don't let a name like that go to waste. ANYWAYS when my friend and I loot Berizino, Electro, Cherno, all the places, in the buildings with stairs, ALL THE TIME my friend is at the very top floor, getting hit by a zombie, and I'm at the bottom and he goes "WHERE THE HELL IS IT" and I say "where is what?' and he said "there's an invisible zombie hitting me" and on the staircase between the bottom floor and the 2nd floor, sure enough, there was a zed, hitting nothing, and hearing my friend cry as the zombie hits him with extreme telekinesis. Anyways I kill the zombie, problem solved, he's not getting hit anymore. So if that happens, HAUL ASS AND FIND THAT F**KER!!! Once the zed is dead. You can sleep better, and if you run more than 100 meters away from whatever place it all started, and you are STILL getting hit, then leave the game, and join back. Combat logging doesn't count for zombies, your body will still be there, still "despawning" but the zed wont attack it. So in worse casinaro, just leave the server and join back.. (that specific zed wont be aggroed towards you anymore, he will just sit there and look pretty, no matter HOW close you get) This game is in alpha, you have to learn how to troubleshoot right then and there. It's a skill you gotta learn, ESPECIALLY with this game. ~Cheers! Stay Warm and Don't Lose Your Beans! -

You are right, there are plenty of people in DayZ, that no matter what, they would stick away from NOT being friendly, however, the problem is knowing those type of people when you see them. You seem like a nice person, if I was talk to you in DayZ, I probably would trust you more than the other players, in this god forsaken wasteland. Cheers! Stay Warm and Don't Lose Your Beans! -
Although I like both very much. I have an M4A1 on my back. But I don't use it, I use my fists. Damn communists don't suspect a thing.

The irony of your post and your picture below is priceless. How do you set those again? -

Some DayZ Facts About You...
therandomredstone replied to cheeseburger8's topic in New Player Discussion
I have a strange ability in DayZ, that I have yet to encounter someone else with the same. Once a group of bandits found me, they stripped me of my belongings, and locked me in a church with 9 zeds. If I died, I died, if I lived, I got my stuff back with a magnum, speedloader, ammo, and a uk assault vest. I fist fighted all the zeds. Killing all of them. The bandits were amazed and wanted me to join them. I ended up killing all of them with the magnum they awarded me. Oh, I have never went anywhere outside of the Berizino/NE airfield area. I have never been to electro or Cherno, and I don't plan on it for awhile. I hear its just death down there.. -

Same with epi-pens and morphine! But they are pretty big, but you should still be able to stack them in groups of 3

I saw a video on YouTube of these two snipers, when they spotted a target they did something and their "meters" number in the top right moved up or down. For example, they saw a guy on a hospital about 700 meters away, the thing at the top right when they were aiming was at "200". But when they were saying "he's at 700 meters away" they moved that "200" up to "700" somehow to zero down on their target more. How do you move the "meters away" number in the top right corner when you are aiming with a long range scope?

Zeroing With Sniper Scope?

Don't worry, it has been fixed. -
So my character is fully geared, I can do whatever I want, enough said. Anyways yesterday I was playing as usual, and I was looting a building on the SW side of berizino by the orchard. Anyways there was a server restart, it was 10-15 seconds in, so I decided to leave. I joined another server (was still on regular mode) anyways I spawned and I was on the beach, with NOTHING. I freaked out and I didn't hesitate to leave, didn't check my inventory, didn't try to go to third person, ANYTHING. I just joined, I saw I was on the beach, and I left. Then I connected to a hardcore server, my player was brand new and he had no clothes or even a flashlight, so I left that game too. I went to the main menu and saw my player had NOTHING. Anyways I reconnected to a regular mode server, and I had my player back. HUGE HUGE HUGE relief at that moment. And I continued along my way! ;) :beans:  So if you join a server, and your player is gone, follow these steps: 1. Leave the game immediately, don't move or press anything else. 2. join the opposing mode (regular mode character gone-join hardcore server/vise versa) 3. then leave the game after you spawn in. 4. then go to the main menu and see if its a brand new character that is displayed. 5. then join back the same mode that your character got removed (but join on a different server) and your player should be back! There are many cases where this will not work. But in a desperate moment like this, there's nothing else you can do. Something similar happened to you in the world of DayZ and infinite bugs? Post your story below!

Help With Experimental Servers?
therandomredstone replied to therandomredstone's topic in New Player Discussion
That's why its called "experiential", my friend. But unlike a lot of people, the first reason I bought this alpha version was to help fix it. When I come across a "crash" or "glitchy zombies" I feel a sense of achievment, not frustration like everyone else. It's a very lucky mind set I have. -

Help With Experimental Servers?
therandomredstone replied to therandomredstone's topic in New Player Discussion
I just watched a video on that. No I haven't, I will, but I want to make sure of something; If I download experimental, play on it, yada yada yada, then want to play stable servers, will I keep my un experimental characters? I don't want to switch to experimental, play that, then switch back and have my characters deleted. Can you help me out with this, Caboose187? -
Things you regret doing
therandomredstone replied to [email protected]'s topic in New Player Discussion
You did the right thing. Better safe then sorry. She could of grabbed the backpack, and the gun, and when you gave her some "close shots" she would've thought "those pricks are trying to shoot me" then if she was an experienced player she would of flanked behind you guys (if you moved she would follow) and she would've ended up trying to kill you. This guy I met had mosin ammo, I let him to a blaze I ran across in a building, he got the blaze, and tried to kill me. He failed though, but that just proves that you cant trust ANYONE in DayZ. You can help someone and travel with them, but always treat them as a hostile, and don't HESITATE to end their life if necessary. -
Things you regret doing
therandomredstone replied to [email protected]'s topic in New Player Discussion
*sigh.. I had almost the same thing happen to me, 60 seconds in electro, I was in the jail, and I see a player getting chased by zombies, I rush out, kill the zombies, the player runs off. Another player appears with zombies after him, I kill those zombies, and while I'm bandaging he shoots me in the face with a crossbow and laughs his ASS off. -

By the way, your videos are always amazing. You experience ALOT in DayZ. Some of which, others can only dream about experiencing. -
