    What Happened Here?

When you cut someone or an animal up, the corpse shouldn't just disappear, you should see a body with a huge hole in the middle of their stomach with the guts partially strewn out, and maybe a leg cut off. Players could track others more easily, Cannibal hunter groups could be formed, Signs of life (a dead boar) if you were running through the trees. THOUGHTS?

    Your Goals?

I don't know if you knew this but the devs are working on making a brand new, never before seen engine to put into DayZ, that will lead to more possibility's, easier optimization, and different ways to play the game!

I love when i find notes.

I found a note in a house in electro, there was a fire right next to the note, it read: "they were here.. this is the fire.. they used to COOK MY BROTHER.. I ..I watched them as they pulled meat off of his dead, cooked limbs and eat it.. they almost saw me.. by the time you are reading this I have already ran up the main road north, past the fire station.. I'm going to settle down and set up camp in Staroye. Hurry.. I cant take this anymore.." I made my way up there.. and found the poor bastard with another note "If you are reading this.. then either someone took the note off of my dead corpse, or you are the first to see my lifeless body, I couldn't take it. I had found one.. one bullet for the magnum in my hands as we speak.." He also gave me his steam name in the letter and I told him how I tracked down his body. We're good friends now.

    Whats the value?

You are asking how valuable netting is, not its rarity *cough cough.. NexVentor* Netting is quite valuable, you can make ghillie suits with the stuff! exiting! http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Ghillie_Suit <-- how you make ghillie suits. But if you meant how *common* netting is, its as common as weapons pretty much. Expect on boats on the coast. For example: usually atleast 1 out of every 4-5 houses you go in will have a weapon, weather it be a baseball bat to a firefighters axe, at the LEAST, out of 5 boats you are guaranteed to find at least one netting, (that is if the boat hasn't yet been checked by another player) If you are asking because you are contemplating weather or not to toss your netting out and go find some later, then by all means do so. If I didn't have room for netting, I'd track down burlap sack and make a ghillie hat before throwing out the rest of the netting. But it's your choice. But at the end of the day, you can find netting whenever you go out and intentionally look for some. (which only are found on boats on the coast) Wikia Link to Netting: http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Netting (I contributed to this page some myself ;) )

    Found 10 Heli-crashes and 3 V3S's on 1 server

Servers are sometimes glitches upon restarts, I went into a jail right after a restart on a sever. And EVERYTHING that you could possibly, physically find in the jail was there.. times 10. 20 SKS's in one room, ammo EVERYWHERE. enough food to feed an army. Prison clothes and press vests.

    What Happened Here?

Its not necessarily 'having it in the game will make it super interesting', but it will make the game more realistic, which is one of the lager goals for DayZ. You cant call a game a realistic simulator if dead animals disappear after you gut them, that's why I'm extremely confident that this will be added into the game before its official 'release'. Base building most likely will come first, or they will come at the same time. And by base building I hope you mean the ability to make ladders, fences, board up windows, because they already stated that you wont be able to build entire buildings.

    Zombie Agro

If you are having problems with Zombies seeing you from a mile away, stop playing on servers that say public/veteran! You know how it says "veteran"? its because since zombies can see you from a mile away, veterans are the only people that would find it easy or still normal to play! I play on regular servers that don't have "veteran" in the title. I can run through electro and see 6 or 7 zombies on every block, and I'll only attract the ones on the street I'm running on. I can walk up to a zombie and hit him in the back of the head without him noticing. If you want Normal Zombies to play against, play on servers that do not say "Veteran" on the title.

I bet you got some good stuff, am I right?

    Your Goals?

hopefully in the future there will be a way to not have server maintenance on private hives if you want it. Like so if you have your own private hive server you can choose for no maintenance so that your gear in tents and stuff wont get reset. It would be even cooler if you could play a private server on the public hive, that way if you go and die on a public server, you can just go to the tents of the private server and re-gear in three seconds.

    Craftable Clothing Items

There is already leather moccasins, leather vests, leather backpacks. What they are thinking about craftable survival wise is improvised camouflage that isn't as good as the ghillie but that still blends you in a considerable amount.

    No Matches

I always carry a full stack of rags around with me after an incident where a fire was desperately needed.
  14. therandomredstone

    No Matches

Matches are still around but are less common, this is because in the future they plan on adding lighters into the game. Anyways good places to look for Matches include: Barns, 3 story city buildings, grocery stores (not the supermarkets), residential houses, and hospitals.

    What Happened Here?

Before base building. Because a feature like this would bring players together (to kill each other or whatever). But they would be like clues for hunting others down, were as putting boards and fences over a house, doesn't lead players toward you, but just effects PvP (mostly)

    Let Me Go!

Imagine if you see one man holding three dudes at gunpoint about to kill them all while they are lined up, you could sneak up behind him, put him in a choke hold then quickly go to your inventory and put your hunting knife in your hand and then kill him. That was just an example ^^ But the ability to hold people in a choke hold/ knife to their neck/ gun to their temple while other arm has them in a chokehold. I don't know, just something that would make the game THAT much more interesting.

    Let Me Go!

Haha! Yes! Currently whenever I find those type of people on apartments, I handcuff them and read them the bible. "ya need jesus, son."

    Please Fix FPS

Your GPU and CPU go up dangerously high. May I recommend a few things that WILL raise your fps? Before I got a new computer, I used these little tricks: Razor Game Booster http://www.razerzone.com/eu-en/cortex/game-booster.- What it does is shuts off any tasks temporarily while you are playing DayZ. It is completely safe and used by many people. This Second tip raises your fps Significantly I must say, and I still use it even with my current computer: Go to File Explorer>Documents>DayZ>DayZ.cfg. Once you are here you set: GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; I don't know why, but this seams to raise your fps. This is another tip that I do not use anymore: This tip requires you to go to Go to File Explorer>Documents>DayZ>PlayerName.DayZProfile. Once you are here you must scroll all the way down till you reach sceneComplexity=1000000; shadowZDistance=100; Once you are here, set the scene complexity from one million down to 400,000 or 500,000. (if you are going to do this tip, do so after all others have already been done) if you set it to 4-500,00 and it feels like it can go lower, then by all means do so. This is if all else doesn't raise your fps significantly, and is one of the most effect things you can do: Go to configuration, then to video, then user interface, and set the resolution down to 1280x720x32. This will take the game from 1080p HD down to 720P HD. If you have any questions then please ask, or if you want to find out how to raise FPS for yourself truly, then go watch the 20 or so videos on FPS for DayZ on YouTube.

    Possible map problem?

In the recent Christmas update servers are more diverse. Before the update I had only played on maybe 5 total nighttime servers over the course of months, but in a week.. I've played on 30 or more. Servers are no longer just day time. And upon server resets.. (get this) the server still has the same time of day.. it just had its loot table reset!! How awesome is that!?

    Killed a combat logger...

I'm trying to make my side of the argument valid, but at the same time, funny. Well... at least to those on my side. Cause I'm a funny guy, ya know?

    Killed a combat logger...

Look here, if people want to server hop then that's their choice. But 3 out of 5 people do not server hop, and in the future they wont either. I'm positive that '3 out of 5' players have enough respect for the game that they will play it the way that it is supposed to be played. Lmfao.. and it's a flipping zombie apocalypse for Christ Sakes, there's no form of justification. If you are sure someone did something because all of the pieces fit together, then they did it. What are we gonna do? Take the server hopper to trial? This is just a game, get a hold of yourself, bro.

    Killed a combat logger...

Combat Logging is whenever you exit the game to avoid combat. In other words, to avoid player interaction. Because any player interaction could lead to combat. No matter WHAT. And for those of you saying "his game could've crashed" or "he could've been kicked for connection issues". It has already been proven that if you get kicked from the game or the game crashes, your character immediately leaves the game. But if it wasn't a direct game crash or you weren't kicked, then your player will have to wait the log timer, if you shut off your computer from the button on your computer, that isn't a DIRECT crash to just DayZ, I guess you could say, because its the entire computer and not just one game. If you get kicked from the game, the devs already knew that you would have no control over what happens/ what's happening when you get kicked, so your player immediately leaves the game without a timer. For this situation though, he could of just been sitting down (a 00000000.1% chance though) but since he was fully geared and on a low pop server at a high loot military spawn point, it wasn't combat logging, it was sever hopping, which is just as bad. For those of you giving "what-if's" and "he might've" and stuff like that. Just stop. Because in THIS situation he was server hopping. Sure he could've been attending to family responsibilities, or taking out the trash. But he wasn't. It's obvious. You did the right thing by killing him. And Deathlove, its not deeming everyone guilty. It's sayin a guy's server hopping and combat logging when he CLEARLY is.. WHICH RUINS THE GAME. So its only deeming this one guy guilty. ;)
