Well they are supposed to be rare from my experience... I've found a good 50 1911s in the past two weeks.. and out of those "50", only a good 5 or 6 were engraved.
-
And it is in fact, rarer than the normal 1911 variant. Regular 1911s are rare too. But you will find significantly less engraved than normal.

http://dayz.gamepedia.com/1911_Engraved There you go.

When will the Sway be fixed?
therandomredstone replied to GhostSlayer (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
After more things are added to the game like stamina, and such.. There will be a lot to determine whether or not your aim should be steady. For instance, if you haven't really moved for the past two hours (like hanging out at green mountain on DayZRP ;) ) and you are nice and toasty, well fed, haven't seen a zed in awhile.. Then your aim would be amazingly steady. But if it's night.. and you just killed a zed, ran 300 meters to a shed in a field, and can't seem to get a fire starting.. Then you could say that any "visit" from human or undead.. could easily place the odds against you. -
This has been suggested multiple other times and showcased multiple times, so don't worry, my friend.. The devs have seen this. But as a wise forum admin once said to me.. "<p>then search prior to suggesting m'kay.</p>"

I have had this problem in game before when heading with a group from the NE airfield to green mountain on DayZRP. We didn't think of it too much, we just knew where we were going but this seems like an honest mistake by the game developers unless there is something that we are not seeing. But you should definitely take Jesus Christ The Goblin's advise and report this mistake and they will hopefully fix it.

That is true. I have a good 10 friends that I play with EVERY DAY together. But you don't want to go around telling people "yah you can make friends" because they will run around with the hope of finding a friend and getting killed. Its better to expect, and play with the mindset that everyone is a murderous psycho, rather than thinking "are you my frie--............. "You Are Dead"" Pop up on your screen.

As a matter of fact, yes. It is your fault. You are never friends with anyone you meet in DayZ. You can have friendly interactions. But regardless on if its a game or not. Its a zombie apocalypse. You try to survive. Your decisions kept you from doing such.
-
Your fault. I personally would've killed you to.

This will make storing items WAYY more realistic. So the hunting backpack has 30 slots. a med kit would take up 2x2, a pen would take up 1x. a can of beans would take up 1x.. HOLD UP.... You could easily fit 4-6 pens together and have it take up the same amount of space as a can of beans. So what adding in more slots would do is: A handgun would be 4x4. (because all of the item sizes are doubled) but curtain items like pens would only take up 1 slot. But it wouldn't be "insanely big" because one slot in a 30 slot backpack is nothing.. and cans would be for example 1x2 slots big. I don't know how it would work, but it would make the small items, TRULY small, and the large items would be their realistic size. I hope you get the point. There is probably a suggestion that speaks of the same thing but that is more "explanatory". But I think that something of the sort will be added in soon. But it wouldn't necessarily be hard, just time consuming. Like graphing equations from 8th grade. I HATED it because it took SO long, but was easy. Thoughts?

I would be pretty exited if the fresh spawn wasn't a hacker or a player who got really lucky with a curtain glitch. I wanna spawn that up northhhh

From the highest possible high, to the lowest low. Taking a Trumpet to the Prison Island.
therandomredstone replied to therunningmanz's topic in Gallery
Haha, fun while it lasted! But the dude had a ballistic helmet on. One hit up from with a magnum in the head, while wearing a ballistic helmet will knock you unconscious. So I wouldn't be surprised if it took multiple hits with the trumpet to take the guy out. You're lucky you switched out guns as fast as you did! -
It's a apocalyptic zombie wasteland. You get killed by players or zombies. that's it.
-
it was sarcasm, friend. You said "permanence" and it's "persistence". I thought when you said "permanence, right?" you were being sarcastic.
-
-
it is kind of beyond the "super test only" faze if you want to call it that. Right now, its basically a game that is really glitchy and constantly worked on.
-
this is a zombie survival game. not arma.
-
ha. ha. Permanence sucks right now. ask anybody ;)

*takes snip from coffee You got this.

improvised silencer repair with tape
therandomredstone replied to Wookieenoob's topic in Suggestions
TBH. Bullets where made to go through flesh, meat, bone. Can also penetrate thin walls and even metal. Can pop rough leather tires, and hurts like hell. Duct tape is nothing. gibonez is right. -
Not going to get it buddy. You need more to offer.
