Yes. Otherwise the meat you cook will be cooked, but it will be "rare" and not fully cooked. Thus you will not get as much energy/hydration as you would if you put water in the pot. ;) -

What you will need: A knife/sharp object or an axe (or both) rags (fire starter basically) matches (to light the fire) You need to combine a stick with a rag to create a fireplace kit. From there you can either use an axe to chop down a tree to get logs, or a knife to get more sticks to use as fuel. (logs last longer) you can also use an axe to chop logs into thirds (sticks) incase you don't have a knife to get sticks from a bush. One you have logs and/or sticks you need to drag them onto your fireplace kit. -To Cook- There are only three ways to cook. You can either find a cooking pan/pot and put it on top of a portable gas stove with a gas canister connected, then put water in the cooking pot and then the meat, then turn on the gas stove and put your cooking pan/pot ontop. or.. You can either find a cooking tripod and cooking pot, to add to your fireplace or.. You can either find just a cooking pot, and dig for 8 stones to turn your fireplace into an oven to place your cooking pot inside of. Once you have what you need to cook, you need to collect meat, put water in your cooking pot and put the cooking pot on the gas stove/in the oven/hanging from the cooking tripod. Videos Sorry it took awhile.. Hope I could help. ;) -

Does walking make a difference?
therandomredstone replied to Zyprexacus's topic in General Discussion
Yes. I highly recommend walking (or even jogging) instead of sprinting. Sprinting burns your hydration and energy at 200%.. jogging is only at around 50% and walking is somewhere around 5-15%.. You can get light green energized and hydrated and jog from Elektro all the way to Vybor and only become hungry. If you are low on food and you NEED to find some, then jog. Sprinting might seem faster (because it is) but you will last much, much longer without sprinting. /solved ;) -
So a buddy of mine tried playing with a large name he set in the .cfg file (on a private server) and he was kicked! I had no problem playing with a large name in public, thought that BattleEye had the same terms for both private and public servers.. so why would it kick him for his name, and not me?

Loot is central as of the .55 update. That means you can find anything, anywhere. Someone telling you "oh I found ___ in this house!" will not do anything. Want a military tent? Check an outhouse.

 What program did you use to add the text. Not to fade it in and out. But add the text. -
I play on a RP server and I was going to use a curtain name (Quentin Spurlock) for DayZ. Buut unfortunately that name was too large so now I must stick with "Quentin Spurlok"... Does anyone think that the devs would ever raise the number of characters for the IG name?
-
oh :p thanks
-
so I went in the .cfg file and changed my name but when I went to the main menu it just cut out anything that went over the character limit.. can you explain to me what you did exactly?

Tents and persistence. Again
therandomredstone replied to Mookie (original)'s topic in General Discussion
It is a known glitch where tents will just miraculously disappear. It should be fixed in the next patch. -
YOU DOG YOU. Wanna know a fun fact? I've never given anyone my beans before on these forums.. ;) post something inspirational and influential.

*edit what did you use to add in the text around 20:21 ? and I've seen the [ZAP] crew on a low pop public before. there where 8 of them. they seemed pretty cool. -
Tents and persistence. Again
therandomredstone replied to Mookie (original)'s topic in General Discussion
Tents are not the best right now. They can disappear even if you are starting right at them. When I log, I take all the items out of my tent and hide them under a tree. Then I pack the tent and put it in my hands. This may be extremely inconvenient but for the time being it is pretty necessary. The next update should have Tents more "functional" -
Hey I was just at Stary! There is a small family living in the two story green house across the street from the prison who are growing crops by the masses and selling them to the public. They also can their own peaches.

Thanks to persistence being mandatory I don't have to worry about my second backpack getting wiped! I am exactly like you! It took awhile but I found some goodies. then more.. then more... now I have two hunting backpacks and a mountain backpack stashed away filled with food and supplies and clothing and weapons.. and zombies are FINALLY harder!! I needed this. -
So I'm guessing the title of this Topic made you a little curious.. Good. I am making a video, but for the last scene it requires me to shoot someone in the head after doing a curtain specific thing which I would not be able to do with a stranger. BECAUSE of this, the scene has to be scripted. I could just "edit" me shooting my friend in the head, but since ballistic helmets kind of protect you from shots to the head, I was curious on if a worn ballistic helmet would be able to withstand a point-blank magnum to the head. I know the helmet will become ruined and the victim unconscious if the helmet is pristine, but if it's worn, can I shoot my friend in the head and still have him survive?
