Why fix something that's not broken? If you really want to avoid those gear-thirsty Bambi's on the coast.. stop dying.

I think something like this is already planned. So i'll just say in time.

I'll keep this short. Let's say you want to create a diversion or something of the sort, all you have to do is get a fire going, and put ammunition in the fire. The ammo will slowly start to deteriorate. Once the ammo is ruined, it starts to pop off and sound like a real gun shooting. Want to make it sound like a firefight? Throw in some 7.62x39 rounds. How about some .357 ontop of that. Hell.. throw some 5.56 rounds with that. While you're at it, might as well put a grenade in there. a couple sprays from different sounding bullets, and to finish it off a big BOOM before complete silence is sure gonna rattle some people up.

There are no good Dayz SA youtubers?

As you can see, there are plenty of big YouTuber's that play DayZ Standalones and inspire many to purchase and play the game. :) Just gotta know where to look. -

Hilarious, that made me laugh. Keep it up! :) -
Yes I sure did see that girl back there in Chernogorsk. I was drinking from a well and boy she must've been thirsty as she charged at me full speed. A feisty one, that is. ;)

Any ideas on increasing my FPS (AMD)

Well I supposed that it's different for everybody. -
Be the smart one in the family and join that one random server no one likes named "grandma's depends" or "the broken banana". head inland. and feast your eyes on limitless waves of soda and construction hats. But really. Join servers that others don't play on.

Any ideas on increasing my FPS (AMD)
therandomredstone replied to Senodog's topic in New Player Discussion
A few things on why that link is entirely inaccurate. First thing: That article was published back around when razor game booster first came out. It wasn't nearly what it is today. Second thing: Whoever wrote the article didn't know how to use the booster properly. ------------ If I run DayZ without the game booster, I'll get an average of 30 frames in big cites like Elektro, and 45-50 frames in the open. If I run DayZ with the game booster, I'll get an average of 45 frames in big cities like Elektro, and 75 frames in the open. --- The reason I (and many others) get a considerable frames boost is because we customize what razor game booster shuts off whenever we play. Also I forgot to mention, if you have a super computer then razor game booster isn't going to change your frames nearly at all. The person who wrote the article may have had a "super computer". -

The guy in the video discussed razor game booster. I suggest using that until the game is optimized. -
My mistake. But essentials like food, medical supplies, firearms and ammunition would most likely be long gone. At least in populated areas like Elektro and Chernogorsk. The more you'd move in-land. The more goodies you'd find.

You have to know which buildings to search. But you're also not going to find loot in every single building. There's a reason it's called an 'apocalypse.'
-
not when.. 'where'. They spawn where no one looks. Simple.

What you are asking about is persistence. Persistence if items stay in between server restarts. I'll attempt to explain: So lets say you are playing on a non-persistent server. You come across a house and it has two cans of peaches in it. You take the two cans and later on the server reset. If you were to go back to the same house, any items that were in it before despawned and new items spawned inside of the house. Things like tents, backpacks with loot, campfires, and trucks all reset after restarts in a non-persistent server. Lets talk about if the server is persistent. If the server you are on is persistent and you find a can of peaches and you don't take it, upon restart that can of peaches (along with anything else around it) will stay in the game and not despawn. Campfires, backpacks with loot, tents, stashed items, etc. will all remain in the game after a server restart. I won't get too technical but if you want good loot you must look in places that other players don't search that often. You can use the search bar to find any additional information.

What you will need: A knife/sharp object or an axe (or both) rags (fire starter basically) matches (to light the fire) You need to combine a stick with a rag to create a fireplace kit. From there you can either use an axe to chop down a tree to get logs, or a knife to get more sticks to use as fuel. (logs last longer) you can also use an axe to chop logs into thirds (sticks) incase you don't have a knife to get sticks from a bush. One you have logs and/or sticks you need to drag them onto your fireplace kit. -To Cook- There are only three ways to cook. You can either find a cooking pan/pot and put it on top of a portable gas stove with a gas canister connected, then put water in the cooking pot and then the meat, then turn on the gas stove and put your cooking pan/pot ontop. or.. You can either find a cooking tripod and cooking pot, to add to your fireplace or.. You can either find just a cooking pot, and dig for 8 stones to turn your fireplace into an oven to place your cooking pot inside of. Once you have what you need to cook, you need to collect meat, put water in your cooking pot and put the cooking pot on the gas stove/in the oven/hanging from the cooking tripod. Videos

Your question was obviously already answered but ill just answer it again. There won't be anything of the sort in the Vanilla version of DayZ Standalone. But soon enough modders will grab their typing shoes. (ha. ..I'm funny) and make something of the sort. Cheers.

Holy hell. Very impressive find. I hope they returned to their stash and had heart failure due to their missing items.  -
You really shouldn't have any problems with playing the game. I've seen people with much worse internet connection play DayZ just fine but you must make sure that the servers you play on are strong and stable. If you can I would suggest finding a local or nearby server but for most it doesn't really make a difference. I have a friend and there is a branch of servers that are hosted 80 or so miles away in Dallas, and he plays on them and has no problem with connection. There's this old trick that not many people no that can speed up your internet. Just fill up a glass with some warm distilled water, preferably originally tap, then gently pour water on router/modem and the internet from behind your computer if you have a wired connection. haha, just kidding. don't do that.. But your connection as it is should be just fine. But if you can, try not to be using too much internet in other parts of the house. Netflix on in the other room and no ones watching it? Shut it off for later. Cheers.

The amount of loot in a server depends on persistence, server time, server population, and location. If the sever is 30 minutes from restart on a persistent server with 40 other people on the coast then when you spawn you aren't very likely to find anything. If the server just restarted and there is only 2-3 other people on the server then you should find loot pretty easily on the coast. You just have to put 2 and 2 together. Heading inland always helps, though.
