I just returned to the game after a 6 months hiatus but I can't seem to find the AKS-74U. I remember seeing one in the hangar at NWAF but never again. Do they spawn at guard houses at all?

I was at Balota with a SKS. It was the second day I started playing. Go into the upstairs of the jail and a dude is in there. I said hi, he said (even though it looked like he only had an axe), "i am gonna fucking kill you if you dont leave", and I just popped him in the head. Didn't even loot him because I was too freaked out and ran off. -
yeah i had my gun out to begin because i saw that i wasnt alone on the server, but i never expected to actually use it. It was crazy, maybe he blended into the russian crash site, but he was doing the keep taking weapon out animation, which i think is a glitch int he game, as soon as i saw that, I knew I was in for it. I started firing and then i was dead. by the way, the cqb stock is horrible but could be because I had been sprinting

Just died agian this morning. I think it was a hacker. There was only one other on the server and he seemed to have just popped up next to the crash site I was running towards. Sigh

Yeah it's a known bug, and I learned it the hard way. Thought I was running north when I was actually going in the opposite direction. That's why it's good to try and stick to the roads.

That's probably exactly how I died when I was looking for that m4 for Jezza awhile back. Got the new m4 in hand, and bang! Appreciate the effort though man.

in DayZ, the rarest item is the item that you need right there and then. Case and point, I found a damaged m4 once, looked for hours til I found a kit. Now that I don't need it, I basically see it in every other shed. Ditto for sewing kits and charcoal tabs.
