I found two tents in the second house that I entered! Cherno spawn.

I've been playing on my crappy AMD machine today. It usually gets 15-25FPS. Today I'm seeing more like 22-32FPS. :D The issue is (and has been) that I'll be strolling along at 28, 30, 29, 32, 28FPS and then suddenly it drops to 6FPS (or 1, even)!!! Obviously the overall FPS will eventually increase, but the sudden drops are VERY jarring! I hope that the devs can get a handle on this, because it's just like throwing an anchor out! I found a 74U and some ammo to feed it, rather early on. Iir, it was on a wrecked HUMMV. So, don't give up yet, they're out there. Now all I need is a mag, or three and I'll be a happy camper.

I found the one in Cherno. It looks absolutely massive from the outside! I couldn't stop, as I had more pressing needs at the time. I'll circle back later for a closer look.

Good news! I've been watching for this. I've only been inside one this morning and it was barren. :(

I just had something similar happen with a fire ax. Poof ... gone! EDIT: After re-logging the ax was mysteriously back in my inventory.

6 of them! http://twitter.com/_SenChi__/status/603307364050145280

Also, unlike most other trees, the bark on the oak trees has a very rough, irregular texture.

With an improvised knife and an ashwood stick, I think that you could quite easily ruin a chicken's day!

I just had a peek. As of ten minutes ago, the servers were still down. Surely, everyone in CZ has gone home for the night.

The hotbar is bugged, because the devs have been working on a new inventory system. Eugen mentioned that the hotbar that they have on their internal build is quick and responsive. Hopefully we'll see it tonight.

A performance problem related to the zeds was identified. http://twitter.com/Hicks_206/status/600660354604077056 The zeds have been removed and then put back in several different times, while the devs work on resolving the issue.

Correct - You'll need a full length ashwood stick from a tree. Sticks from bushes, or from on the ground do not work for this.

Someone mentioned that the yellow ones are invisible.

Yes everyone (especially you OCD types), please patch your tents, so that I can spot them easier!
-
It seems to me that I also recently found one, in one of those large houses, that has the hallway straight through the middle and one large room on either side.
-
It was at one of the log cabin-type houses. I prefer the damaged tents. They are much harder to spot, until you're right on top of them.
-
It's not all bad. I found a new tent and two additional packs within 15 minutes.

Pumpkin slices have a similar glitch. While they are in my pack, everything is all right. But, if I put them in my tent, or another pack on the ground, when I return to camp, the slices are gone. If I hover over where the slices were, I get a correct description, but I have to take the slices into my personal inventory for them to re-appear.

Here lately, I usually keep a MP5 in my hands, since I have an ACOG, which allows me to quickly scan my surroundings. I also found a high capacity vest, which I try to keep empty, so that the MP5 has a home. If I find some loot that I can't pass up and I put it in the vest, I NEVER set the MP5 down inside of a building. That is the surest way to loose anything, not just a firearm. I've climbed a fair number of radio towers, guard towers, and deer stands over the past few weeks and I have been very lucky not to loose anything. I don't recall climbing too many fire escapes during that time, but I can't imagine why they should be any different. Although I should mention that on a couple of occasions, I couldn't pick the MP5 back up, after descending a ladder. Each time this happened, logging out and then back in solved the problem. Another thing that I do is to try and minimize the number of times that I have to set the MP5 down. If I am filling water bottles at a well and the area is safe, I will go ahead and have a drink, take a compass fix, or do whatever else I need to, before picking the MP5 back up. There is no sense in tempting fate by setting it down more than is necessary, eh? Don't get me wrong, I've lost a number of other items by setting them on the ground ... too numerous to count, even, but on the last couple versions of this experimental build, Eugen has been watching out for my firearms. OK, so you know that I'm going to loose all of my shit after saying this, right?

The characters were not wiped. Anything that you had on your person is safe, however everything else, tents, backpacks, etc. are all gone. We have a fresh loot spawn and so far, it has been generous.
-
Try a different server. I was just on for a little over 2 hours and I experienced no stability issues.

At a police car? Where?

I hear you. I lost my tent this morning. My tent (probably both of them) along with three backpacks full of gear ... all gone. I had two protector cases full of ammo, a whole bunch of arrows, food, seeds, a change of clothes, weapons, etc. ... poof! It's a wee bit hard to plan ahead, with this sort of stuff going on.

There is loot EVERYWHERE! Now, to see if the loot re-spawns in proportion to the demand.
