    Every russian i met so far was friendly. I especially remember Cherno newspawn who i gave an axe and he didnt kill me whilst bandaging. I was end game geared.

    Try opening a conversation without calling them a russian ->insert an insult here<-

    Quite enjoying the 059, i do miss (more) wildlife and less RL obligiations so i could waste more time on it :P

    No matter what combination of settings I use, if Objects are set higher than Very Low, I lose frames in large cities to the point of unplayability. I'm talking like 18 FPS in Novo.

    Honestly, that's good for novo..im anywhere from 9-20fps there so i just avoid it, unless im playing on my top pc. Svetlo is even worse (7-12.)

    I would remove clouds & shadows alltogether if i were you and sacrifice it for anything better than "very low" objects.

     

    edit: holy batman, your config should run this no prob. Also, do this; Disable shadows, clouds, SMAA and AA and postprocessing .. Set objects to very high.. then enable the "candies" back. Sacrifice AA/SMAA/PostProc or shadows to get performance, not objects. I was testing this with a friend who can run objects @very high and i can tell you he can spot me lying on the ground way before i can see him running on the middle of a road (in other words u dont stand a chance)

     

    Do tweak your cfg with standard stuff like shadowZdistance=50, preferred drawdistance=1001m and objectdistance=1000m, maxframes ahead 0.(you did set it read only,right?) Update your drivers and dont trust that nvidia auto tweaking thingy u get(disable it). Set to optimal/max performance instead of quality if you havent yet aswell. Disable all the power saving features. Dayz doesnt save.

    I can run this game with obj.&textures on very high, AA very high but with shadows & PP off and the game is very playable.I wouldnt say constant 30 fps, but it looks great,  runs smooth and doesnt leave me at a disadvantage.

     

    I run like a few gen older i7 cpu with 3.5ghz and some 2gig radeon. You have a i-would-kill-4-ur-cpu, higher clock & gpu so i would expect it to run the game even smoother.

    I know you did most of these already(sorry!), but still, something must be going on to effect your fps that much when touching objects..

     

    btw, u will never get constant 30+ fps (imo) in alpha.

    There's streamers with pcs i could afford in 5 yrs time and they still get the low fps drops.

    As much as im enjoying this patch so far, it's spoiling me pretty hard. Way too many goodies.

    I'm sure the loot will be more scarce in the future.

    That being said, i hope the CLE will be tweaked gradually by small numbers.

    I think it would be a good way to slowly make  the "less-patient" part of community to get used to it, rather than to just completely flip the tables over the night;

    it will just make many to ragequit the game again, saying the loot is broken/apple simulator and what not and i guess that might not be the best thing...

    i was sitting on top floor of the barn and eating and then suddenly black screen, not a single sound, and "You are Dead". :(

    I love playing at night in 1PP. So immersive. It's even better when night goes to day (dawn is fun). Accelerated time is great too.

    I gotta say i hate the 10x time accelerated servers. Breaks the whole immersion when i get to see like 15 minutes of dark.

    Not to mention the partly cloudy weather effects on 10x makes you feel like there's a disco ball up in the sky.

    And I'm the kind of guy who leaves the shitty food like bacon and spaghetti. I only eat beans, peaches or dry food because those are the best to go with.

    FYI, tactical bacon got a buff, its more nutritious now and the peaches got nerfed and are on pair with canned spaghetti.

     

     

    does this mean they are spawning randomly again ? i've yet to see one

    i found a sporter mag, dropped it after finding a mosin.

    which i dropped for the SKS for the first time

    I found the mag in one of the jeeps at cherno docks.

    As for the loot,i think it's meant there's so much loot the first day.. it makes sense since noone took anything..

    With CLE, i don't think server will keep respawning 10 vests after they will be picked up and the loot will become more scarce

    especialy around the coast.

    well. I got my smersh back in less than 1hr gametime. Found it before the childs backpack to be exact. Somehow i thought it's gonna be harder this time around.

    Broke my legs in ATC again , but luckily i found morphine before that. Found the new autumn hunter set... seconds after i found m65 jacket. f***

     

    Found some bugged ammo i couldnt pick up (11sks rounds) so i emptied my gun and dragged the ammo onto it ~character successfully loaded the gun.

    the 1 remaining bullet stayed bugged on the ground.

    Already hoarding up the burlap sacks, i should go pick up those nettings asap. Didnt see a single can of spraypaint yet tho.

    Also unlucky with hunter scopes but i'll live.

     

    Cant wait to create another private archer aswell.

     

    Met plenty of people and all! were friendly. However, Im pretty sure it's because i was walking behind their backs with my (at the time empty) gun wielded and/or they didnt have the ammo for their own. Nevertheless it was nice to encounter so many survivors just by going cherno-chappa-balota, and survive.

     

    Btw, does anyone have problems with VOIP? None of the survivors talked, and none of them replied after i greet them. The fact i didnt scare the guy in the shed as i approached him  from behind saying "bu" makes me think so.

     

    Anyway, gonna be fun this patch :)

     

     

     

    I'll be sure to test this hypothesis the next time I find a pot to see if items get ruined inside of your pants after falling.

    I actualy think it does help a little. I had moments where Brian(teddy) would get ruined but the morphine inside it only got damaged (shotgun in my back )

    But, I also know for a fact that stacking 4 balistic helmets in your vest wont offer you any additional protection. you will drop dead in the same amount of bullets.

    You not understand. I reinstalled for 0.57 because it's supposed to be released tomorrow. I haven't played for quite some time, and in Status report 15 they said: "we'll be disabling infected spawning on stable branch servers". So I thought that infected were indeed disabled. Did I miss a report?

     

    You are mixing up Experimental branch and Stable. I understand it can get confusing since we skipped the 056 and lots of things were said during that time :)

     

    Silent zombies are in 0.55 since day one, they only reversed the loot spawning due to CLE being bugged.

    When 057 does hit stable there will be a global wipe, so don't stress yourself too much about losing your character :)

     

    As for the zombies, they were removed in some exp. builds and they said they will be removed for the 057 time being.

    They were added in a few builds later on so Im not 100% sure if it still sticks to that.

    First off, you probably meant 0.55 (unless they didn't bother wiping your character), which is live for like two months and you didn't know there are zombies?

    You failed to use the "use" command properly and start drinking your own gas - ever thought of pressing "F" again to cancel the animation?

    Also, the zombie 3 hit killed you because you were either already beaten up, or you divided the number of hits by 10.

    As far as what is popular, that's a silly way to argue something. Of course lots of people like candy land easy mode. Lots of people would also like to spawn into the game with a fully kitted M4, I'm sure that would be very popular but that doesn't mean it's a good idea for making an interesting game in the long run.

    Yeah you are right, i should let the popular opinion out of this, otherwise m4 would definitely replace the flashlight at the beach.

    I don't think 3pp is easy mode tho, it just requires a different play style. Play style that some find cheap. I just think it's allot more tactical and requires allot more thinking of an approach when the enemy can see you advance without exposing himself & vice versa.

     

     

    Don't let perfect be the enemy of "good enough". We can make 3pp better, less fruitful from abuse without trying to eliminate "peeking" altogether.

    Pretty much this ^^ I do hope at some point it will be "good enough" for those who are bothered by this mechanic, because it will never(?) be perfect.

    Personally i don't mind whatever change will happen, i just hope  this wont bring other dev. projects to a halt.
