Got lucky to find a 75 round drum mags, lost one with an insta-death crap have only 1 remaining, and a clip of 40, also lost a couple 30 mags as well (All in 2 days i got approx : 2 75 Drums, 3 30 Mags and 1 40 made a lot of travelling to get em' though !

id' say best area to go loot is inland as coast are quickly dried of it's loot by bambis !! ;) And ammo ain't scarce, it is super easy to find IMO

On hardcore i found that it's more easy to find friendly ppl, especially on 10-15 players servers !

Found a fair number of AK's in many locations !!!

You tried also using the set launch options ?? There is some tweaking you can do with it along with the DayZ.cfg file to gain some FPS there is a topic somewhere on the foru,s bout' that !

Many skyscrapers... Not the small apps buildings but the big ones... They are a pain in the ass to search but if you search and experiment you will find an easy and quick way to spot them !! Since the patch hit, i found 3 tents so far in about 3 sessions of 2 hours search, so be ready to check a lot of rooms !!!!

As stated many times... do NOT get attached to your gear haha !! Crap like that will still happen many times until we reach the final release or at least, the beta phase !

For now, i suggest you to take a long hard look at the chernarus map, note the ponds area and keep them in mind ;)

A good solution that they could MAYBE implement along with the other ways of fighting hyperthermia would be a simple one, pour that canteen/water bottle on yourself, any thoughts on that ?

I can assure you it is not the case, everytime i use a sneaky approach from behind a zombie to hit him behind the head they magicly become aware of my presence and all of the sudden... 180 degrees turn to try to hit me (Even though i made almost no noise)

Exactly ! I always have 3 canteens 100% on me at all times and a good ammount of water purification tablets (Some friends told me sickness from pond water is now in-game) Personally, i never have been bothered even ONCE by hyperthermia... Made many travels from the coast to NWAF then back to Vybor... Pavlovo military base and ended all the way up north to the new towns, and that, without overheating once... I always ensure that no matter where i go, i will come 2 times across a pond (Map knowledge helps a lot) Weird thing though, after all that travelling mentionned above (Made it about 3-4 times yesterday) my combat boots never left the Pristine status...

Tabbing ? You just have to use the steam browser in-game, and in-fact, ain't really cheating since maps are also in-game... It just makes you not have to have all 5 map parts... Im' sure that if one day devs comes with the possibility of assembling the whole map by collecting em' and introducing a way to be able to look at the map as you run (A little bit like far cry does) people will stop having to go on a website (Ever thought too of using your mobile phone) ? :P

I doubt it would make sense, correct me if im' wrong but i think most of these must be stored in a freezer in order to stay cold !

Same here, played for about 5-6 hours yesterday and another 2-3 hours the day the patch came out... Managed to find the bullets for the gun, but not a single clip to put them in... Got to all military areas, soucted a few towns (Every Building) and never ran into a single clip ! :( Had to give up and drop it to get a trusty mosin in my hands... BTW, new wrap looks awesome !!!!

Adding that for some reasons i can't close my tent or unpitch it if it's empty... Don't know if anybody else experienced that !

Another weird issue i encountered was that i can't close my tent anymore or unpitch it to move it even if nothing's left inside...

Yeah i think it's just a bug that will be adressed soon though, nothing to worry since ponds are quite easy to find ;)

Persistence enabled on most of them, some turned it off... Trying to load in the server where i left my tent to verify persistence, but no luck... Timer goes... 59...58...57... And so on, to end up with a please wait , let it go for 5 minutes but got bored and just quit.... I don't know if somebody else has the same issue right now (Just verified the game cache)

Here is my issue (Currently checking the files to verify their integrity so i'll edit if it worked) 1 : I seem to be unable to drink/fill water bottles from wells (Works well on pound though) 2 : Some items couldn't be picked up at all even though i had the option to pick it up (Tried that and drag & drop both don't work from time to time) 3 : Just played a few hours, disconnected to go eat, then came back and try to connect to receive the message that says that im' using different files than the server (Im' patched to 1.50 properly) Apart from that, great patch ! I Love the new content ! I tried it in Exp and was excited to see it hit stable !!! The Tortilla Backpack looks so boss haha !! Edit : 6:11 PM Eastern Well, got done with the verifying of steam cache... All was okay from what it gave me as a result, the problem now is, no matter what the server im' tyring to join, i get the timer to reach it's 0 to leave me after with a never ending please wait message... Weird fact was, i was playing the game like 1 hour ago perfeclty fine except the things mentionned above ! Excuse my grammar ! English ain't my main language (Pardon my french) :D

trankin : I've heard and read several times that turning up the shadows actually increase your chance of a more stable fps... None and low being renderred by the CPU, turning them to High and above (Of what i heard) switches the renderring of the shadows from the CPU to the GPU instead... As for the guy who lags... Find the topic about launch parameters, check how to go in the dayz.cfg and turn down the maxframesahead things to 1... Should help you a bit, also make sure your GPU drivers are up to date... And most importantly ! If you don't have a lot of ram, make sure to close most of the applications you don't need while playing ;)

If only this guy would have at least spiced the ''Scenario'' a bit... Of course it's apocalypse, lots of people would suicide in such a world, especially if they lost most of the people they care about !! Things will sort themselves out when the suicide option will be added at some point ! I would have been so like : Killed my wife, killed my son... They all turned into one of those things, i don't belong in this god damn world, please put an end to my misery ! :D
