Unlike you mister knowledge i ain't talking just for myself but on a general note... So, following that logic, it ain't EVERYONE who knows how to do that shit properly, even if YOU do it, it wouldn't be the same at all during an apocalypse scenario, especially with damaged knives and all, add to that the constant fear of being interrupted by somebody else or a zombie, nobody reacts the same under pressure... We don't give a damn about the flavoured side of the human meat... You pretty much look like one of those kids that are getting their hype by killing on sight... sadly, this game just takes the same turn as the Infection... All lined up towards PvP leaving the cooperating people short, that cannibal crap just adds to the problem... Lots of kids running around just for the kick of going cannibal... Without even a SINGLE NEED for it with LITTLE RISK and LITTLE CONSEQUENCE (Like Laughin and Crying is a REAL downside *Sight*)... This game truly didn't need that crap that makes survival so easy... And in a REALISTIC point of view, YES cannibalism WOULD be the last resort... Any sane individual would rather eat a can of cold beans than just kill someone in cold blood just for the kicks of having human meat... And a MAJORITY of people would simply prefer dying of starvation than just eat another human... So, to come back on your point about hunting... Of COURSE when you prepare a deer as example, you hang it, open it and empty it from it's internal parts and blood... BUT you trying to tell me that, skinning a deer, right on the ground would leave no stains ? No blood marks ?!? Hmmm... I suggest you to think about that part as the answers are IMPOSSIBLE... Especially if you add the lack of ressources, equipment and for a majority knowledge in how to do it properly,

Well i run the game in a pretty decent playable rate my specs are : CPU : Intel i3 2120 GPU : Nvidia Geforce 750ti RAM : 6 GB OS : Windows 7 64bits It all now depends on the GPU you have !! (Graphics Card)

Like you say, IRL of course they can butcher properly, but on an post-apocalyptic scenario, knives ain't always at their best state, it ain't everyone who can quarter a human with a surgeon's precision... Why would they be covered in blood ? DIdn't say that they have to get covered completely but blood stains at least, blood on the face (I don't think people would always wash themselves during apocalypse) This is a game, not real life, otherwise, a whole lot of aspects of the game should be removed (ie : 3rd Person Camera, super stamina that gets you to sprint for ages etc...) The disease itself in my honest opinion is not enough, especially with cook meat having only like 5% chances of infecting a player with Kuru, i still think that cannibalism should be the LAST resort way to feed yourself !! Coming with it's visual clues AND the disease, like someone else said, if you get blood stains on your clothes/hands/face, they can EASILY be bypassed by changing clothes, put on gloves and facemask... That could create more player movement and useless clothes that people leave left and right in the buildings would FINALLY have a use instead of just being there...

OH shit u pretty much done lol !!! The nearest water source in that area i thinl is near Vybor or the town before that...

well, i personally don't need any maps 60% of the time (Played too damn much on chernarus in the mod, arma 2 and Invasion 1944 mod for arma 2) but when i do, shift + Tab, use steam browser et voila !! It is mainly to get the town names, get a refference from where i am, get my bearing on the compass and keep on going... Worked pretty well and can work both without and with the map in-game... I just don't want to bother right now as im' trying to test the game and already know how the in-game map looks like ! When the game is minimum on beta i'll test the maps properly, but now, trying to explore new additions, find bugs and most importantly, test the gameplay's limitations !

Come on guys even for a frenchy like me it's quite easy to understand... He spawns in the forest and manage to make it to an airfield (Which one, i don't know...) Then see a player that asks him for is help because his character is sick, almost no blood left AND starving/dehydrating, he also stated the guy asked for a transfusion... The guy who posted, replied that he has food, but nothing to make a blood transfusion... Kid gets mad and knock his ass out in one hit... I personally think he makes a good point there ! When you starving, sick or dehydrating (Even overheating or very cold) your movement shouldn't be the same... Try to spend a few hours on a very cold or hot environment... You won't have the same endurance compared to the situations where you have a comfortable range of temperature... On cold environments (-10 Celcius and below) you notice after some time that your jaw is a little bit harder to move when you speak, your fingers (If not wearing any gloves) are way harder to move and on top of that if you add up a cold metal set of brass knuckles i can tell you that you won't be boxing like Mike Tyson hehe... When im' sick, i have less energy (Resulting from the body fighting the virus) When it's too hot, i would get out of breath faster... Well, you get the point... That is something that i hope will get adressed as people will now try to avoid those factors to limit their movements !

id' suggest you to tweak your launch options and dayz.cfg to be able to maximise your fps gain resulting a better overall performance even during heavy rain refer to that thread : http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154330-possible-fps-enhancer/

Same here !! I did it also with the mod, arma 2 itself, arma3 and DayZ SA, never had any problems it also helped me a lot !

Yeah probably the only con i could find so far... But doesn't stop people from doing it still... A guy tried to kill me but missed (Bad aim) when i started chasing him he went in a building with only one entrance, after waiting 30-45 seconds (In case he would rush back out) decided to go in, surprise... Dissapeared... !

I also would be more than willing to do so for french users as well if any dev needs translation help !

Search on google for dayz standalone fps optimisation and dayz standalone set launch options, that could help you !

Yeah, those private servers where, when an admin tries to kill you but end up being killed resets the server ? Or those private servers with that maximum loot non-sense ?? Clan Only servers... Most of them are really badly configurated servers that has nothing to do with the experience we are ''Supposed'' to have while testing the game !

Anyways, that timer is useless anyways... I would REALLY like to see the pros about this... If they are anything within the range of explanations like : It prevents server hoppers... Well you're wrong... it just takes 1 minutes 40 seconds top... Just wasting people time in a counter-measure for server hopping that is clearly not solving the issue, like i said in another topic, the only way to prevent that is to tie the characters to the server you play only... If you go on another one, gotta start over again... Best way to keep the game fair IMO !!!!

Got lucky to find a 75 round drum mags, lost one with an insta-death crap have only 1 remaining, and a clip of 40, also lost a couple 30 mags as well (All in 2 days i got approx : 2 75 Drums, 3 30 Mags and 1 40 made a lot of travelling to get em' though !

id' say best area to go loot is inland as coast are quickly dried of it's loot by bambis !! ;) And ammo ain't scarce, it is super easy to find IMO

On hardcore i found that it's more easy to find friendly ppl, especially on 10-15 players servers !

You tried also using the set launch options ?? There is some tweaking you can do with it along with the DayZ.cfg file to gain some FPS there is a topic somewhere on the foru,s bout' that !

Exactly ! I always have 3 canteens 100% on me at all times and a good ammount of water purification tablets (Some friends told me sickness from pond water is now in-game) Personally, i never have been bothered even ONCE by hyperthermia... Made many travels from the coast to NWAF then back to Vybor... Pavlovo military base and ended all the way up north to the new towns, and that, without overheating once... I always ensure that no matter where i go, i will come 2 times across a pond (Map knowledge helps a lot) Weird thing though, after all that travelling mentionned above (Made it about 3-4 times yesterday) my combat boots never left the Pristine status...

Tabbing ? You just have to use the steam browser in-game, and in-fact, ain't really cheating since maps are also in-game... It just makes you not have to have all 5 map parts... Im' sure that if one day devs comes with the possibility of assembling the whole map by collecting em' and introducing a way to be able to look at the map as you run (A little bit like far cry does) people will stop having to go on a website (Ever thought too of using your mobile phone) ? :P
