I just found a VSS yesterday at Tisy military base. I got some kills with it, my god is it devasting! It's one-tapped everybody in the chest I've encountered regardless of gear, and any shots to their arms or legs will instantly cause a fracture. I love using the gun without its scope, it turns into a cute little automatic gun.

Yes please, great idea. There's far too many empty public servers that people just use to server hop, and far too many are ripe with abuse of item duplication and other stuff. I fully support Bohemia Interactive being the only ones managing the public servers.

I couldn't agree more, the new renderer was a very welcoming addition, and the fixes to server desync and no more random leg breaking, instantaneous vaulting and hotbar in 0.61 is very welcoming as well :D

The first iteration of Enfusion engine was ages ago. What happened was when the new renderer was announced, they essentially renamed their current engine in DayZ from Real Virtuality to Enfusion and since then they've been developing "Enfusion" by rewriting old legacy bullshit code from Real Virtuality. Often people are confused by a "game engine" and believe the engine is just the rendering aspect of it, so some people believe we're not running Enfusion until we see the new renderer, that is false, although I can understand why because the new renderer is such a huge aspect of a game engine. The renderer is only one component out of many important components needed to be considered a game engine such as the animation system, audio system, physics, artificial intelligence and the renderer. Right now in DayZ there is a new physics system (because Enfusion) and you can locate EnScript sources in the game files by unpacking /dta/scripts.pbo.

We're already running Enfusion engine, just with a couple of old modules still in place in 0.59.

Hello everyone! :) We're still trucking along, super excited to update the server to 1.8.7 when it comes out. I've had a stable amount of users playing, which is always nice. US 122 SERVER IP: 192.187.115.250:2302 US 122 is a DayZ mod vanilla server running the Arma 2 mod, there is nothing on this server that will change the vanilla experience. I set this server up for the Australians (and of course Americans) who can play this server while still playing in daytime, as every server (by the evening in Australia) is night-time, especially the more populated DayZ vanilla mod servers. The server is running on a dedicated server running Windows Server 2008 in Kansas, this server has not been rented from game server provider and it is not a virtual private server. This is hosted in a physical location inside a datacenter. I will keep running this server running for the foreseeable future. I can afford to keep this server running so it's no problem to help contribute to the vanilla mod community to provide the vanilla experience for players.
