Sorry to hear that. Only thing I can suggest is play another game if it really gets to you that bad because it will happen time and time again. All though Alpha , Beta, RC as well. It's not good and it don't sound like you are enjoying your experience. Again, all I can suggest is stick to games that are full release. Good luck in your future gaming.

I think the reason is we are getting an influx of people who saw Dayz youtube vids and brought Arma II just for this mod thinking it was some fully released game made by a corporation that just happened to be free... That's not a crime btw. And a lot of them have never been in a nodding community before. This may be the first game they modded. None of that is a crime either. but it's also not anyone elses fault that a lot of you didn't do your homework / research before you ran out and brought Arma II etc. A simple visit to this site first would have told you that this is a Mod in Alpha testing. Also if you had played Arma II before Dayz you would realise a lot of things are not the mod but the result of the Arma game itself. Hard fact is that sadly over 60% of the people playing this game are not cut out for Release candidates let alone beta's or Alphas. They just don't have the right attitude and approach and get wound up far too easy when the crap hits the fan and they lose their character.

Fixed that for you. All depends if bandits catch them on the way in, or on the way out with Alice packs full of gear. But yeah, when your right your right. Rancer fits better.

Well of course with any Alpha I am keen on I would like to see it taken all the way. And if Rocket can keep control of content and takes it the way he wants I am sure it will still have the soul it has now. I am just waiting for someone with such a sense of self entitlement to demand a free copy for Alpha testing lol.

You don't need to create moral excuses if you want to shoot people, It's ok, It's a game. 90% of people use this reason and it's bull. In 2 weeks of playing I shot one person in self defence. I had to completely change my play style but not losing my identity was the way I choose to play. Not for everyone as it takes patience. And everyone is free to play how they choose which is what makes this mod imo. Short version : It's ok to be a bandit. Just don't give me the hard luck story that other people turned you that way. Enjoy this great mod.

To make it a real test you should pour a jug of cold water over your head if it rains. If you get attacked and get a broken bone you should knee yourself in the groin to simulate pain. Seems you are doing this in softmode :)

Yep earlier I ran into a location where most of the entrances were filled with barbed wire but no one was around. Seems that when people find it they just use it up rather than leave it behind. Bit lame tbh.

That could be why so many peoples camps get busted after an hour of setting up.

lol, that's why after getting used to it I prefer starting with no gun now. You are over the moon if you find a pointy stick ! But there has to be a limit. Starving to death before you even find a gun is a bit much :) But on the whole having to search instead of falling over stuff is a better experience imo.

I was on EU 39 earlier. (dieing of thirst, but that's another story) I don't know if it affects the foliage but I was in a meadow and the colours were vibrant but in a pastel kinda way. If you know what I mean. Looked like a watercolour painting. This was early morning game time, just after dawn. I would have stuck around but decided to switch servers after dieing rather than respawn because after hours of nice play and chat 3 people started talking about "killing niggers". Keyboard warriors is one thing but it got a bit much. Note: That's no reflection on the server btw. They may not have had any admins on at the time. It's the first time I had been on that server so I will return as up to that point, even though I died, I really enjoyed my time on that server.

Because you can play this mod for FREE it attracts anyone and everyone. And there is also something to the old saying that if you didn't work or pay for something then you treat it with little respect or don't look after it. Added to the fact that the net turns some normally nice people into dicks because they don't have to deal with the backlash of their actions face to face and you get a group of people who act like 7 year olds. note: No disrespect to any 7 year olds intended. Also the community is still very young and finding it's feet.

If you are out of ammo and out in open fields and a group begins to chase you. I think you only have one option. Kiss your arse goodbye. As said though if you can get to buildings or a hill or obstacle you then at least have a chance. If you have time, or get the chance then sometimes a flare will throw them off. Not sure but think a smoke grenade does the same thing. They are attracted to the "hissing" sound. Flares are a good diversion to get groups away from where you want to go too.
