Haven't played the game well for a long time, but if it's true that the durability is even worse than before then oh my... It has always been way too low on everything even before any changes.

Might be bit late, but better late than never. Forums are probably the best for released mods discuission, even when the Forum platform might be on a small downfall. IMO Workshop doesn't really work well for the only mod share and discussion platform. -
I tried the game again since long time ago and man it just feels bad to play this game. It's the infected and melee that are so horrible in this game that I don't really want to play this game. Then after those are the balance of the how much you need to eat/drink, how quickly health goes down, but those are easier to fix than the main issues. Infected. How are you suppose to fight them in melee realistically? You need to do all kinds of stupid block and hit hard manipulations that it just feels stupid. Then also there's the issue that the infected ALWAYS somehow overshoot behind the player. That's like one of the biggest issues in the game with infected that it's just better to get rid of them. Like honestly make them slower or anything to fix them. As a side not I never understood the decision to add stamina for the infected. Then it's the melee animations. The infected issues are likely very tied to the long locked animations. And some animations also feel pretty bad on the player, especially the melee stuff. Staggering is pretty annoying mechanic when it's not done well. Each melee animation feel very slow and you're too locked on what you're doing, makes the melee just feel horrible. It's suppose to be survival game that has these infected people all over the place as a threat, but when they're just annoying buggy things bringing in clunky/glitchy frustration, it's just horrible experience. Pink boxes without animations that don't overshoot would be more authentic "zombie survival" experience than the infected that the game has now. I see why people just want to do shooty PVP in this game, because that's only thing this game can do somewhat decently.

Movement speed and metabolic consumptions. What they realistically should be?

The amount of energy and water consumed per/h or per/km has always felt off in DayZ. One of the biggest problems has been is that it feels like there's no reason to walk. After checking the values from the files and making some calculations, the feeling is right. The amount of metabolic consumption is around the same per distance traveled between walk and jog. I don't know what they're so if you happen to know or know how to check those, please inform me. I'd like to get more accurate result! I've made some of my own changes in the metabolic speed values just as an example. At least the walk/jog difference with those is much bigger. -

Sorry I forgot to say. I'm assuming only numbers when character has just clothes on and temperature is OK. Those in the first post are the base values and currently in the game you can't have less consumption than that. So those values should represent "the ideal" conditions. Weight effect can be added quite easily. One more constant parameter as a multiplier. Temperature effect is already in the game, I haven't checked how radical the effect is with that. It wasn't straight forward add or multiplier maybe. The main thing is to get "naked" character values right first, then you can start add environmental/weight etc. multipications 🙂 I need right source for player speed. I only took some values from some posts about Arma 3 and lowered those tiny bit. Metabolic speeds are straight from the game files (playerconstants.c). Adult needs around 2000-3000kcal of energy and 2000-3000ml of water in a day. Naturally if you actually idle/hibernate you need much less. And if you sweat and exhaust yourself a lot, then more is needed. -

I've never been into BR games. Survivor GameZ were interesting events to watch in the mod but not really any gameplay value for me. To be honest I haven't even watched much any other BR games on Twitch/Youtube other than those few SGZ. This was 100% coming, that's for sure. Would be just nice to also have the survival game part even close to decent. Just interested will this even use the zombies? At least the area should be small so could focus all the 1000 zombies in the zones. Could also come up with some different ideas from those big BR games and not do exact same gamemode. Just having them zombies actually would already make SGZ different. -

There are couple things that do this. One thin is the eye simulation of brightness adjust. The interiors look like they light up a lot when you get inside. Other thing is that Arma 3 has HBAO+ that's stronger Ambient Occlusion. Those two things already have quite a big impact on how bright the interiors look. The interior brightness might not be an asset issue at all. But I agree, the Arma 3 interior lighting looks bit better.

I've been suggesting this kind of feature multiple times over the years and it looks decent. Less radius would be optimal. Just really need to see 1-2m away so you're not running against wall etc. without knowing that you do it. So my answer should be pretty clear on this 😉 Haven't yet tested this myself. I'm bit surprised about the poll result 😮 -
Please someone comment for that guy that in-game brake with keyboard is no or full brake. Nothing between. Then he might understand the logic...

https://dayz.gamepedia.com/Experimental Your issue that you can't connect is either you're running different version of the game, you've mods on/off or you've corrupted file(s). Verify the game files and check that you don't have any mods on or you only have the needed mods for the server up-to-date.

Anyone yet figured out ways to do this? I haven't have any success getting that result by editing/modding the StaminaHandler.c, Constants.c and EStaminaConsumers.c What is actually preventing player from sprinting, jumping and doing heavy melee attacks when out of stamina? Or how to actually add more things in that list, because just adding JOG or RUN in the enum list isn't enough?

If you can just hold button like that then yeah, likely takes max 20mins for the lock if you need to go through every combination. So 30mins for 2 locks sounds like a normal scenario. -
This is and was the latest news. "The team is working on a permanent solution for the issue, but as this will take some time, we will temporarily enable this option, to hopefully ensure a better persistent gameplay experience." There might be some holidays currently so that's why it can take some time.

My guess is to just survive (keep well fed and warm) 24-48h until it's over. Naturally if you find any medicine, try those. Could be that you should've waited like an hour or more. 30mins sounds bit short time to wait for the medicine doing it's tricks in game like DayZ.

I get this error when I try to launch the Workbench. I uninstalled the DayZ tools and re-installed them and it's still the same. First comes the Compile Error message. If I ignore it then comes the Crash Info.

OK got it work now. Reinstalled couple more times. In the last time after installing the Tools, I played the game once, changed the default paths in the Tools because they were wonky and the Tools couldn't somehow recognize the game anymore and I did the below trick also
