Either your computer isn't enough good for this game or you haven't adjusted well FoV and GPU_MaxFramesAhead and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead in .cfg and head bob.

Go straight to the 8GB so adding another 4GB, because RAM is cheap. Then you can be 100% sure that you won't run out of memory in any point if you have multiple programs on. But I think you won't get any FPS increase with that.

DayZ is a one reason behind the delay of Arma 3...

Well the main reason I haven't played much for a long time is because there aren't any Finnish servers anymore that suits me. =Olut= was very good veteran server but they quit hosting it couple months ago and I quit at the same time. It's a shame that hacking got that bad impact. I believe this game rise again in the standalone because hacking/duping won't be that bad and many of those 'realistic' players do come back so there will be more enjoyable servers again in every region.

People complaining about head bob and FoV. :facepalm: Why don't you adjust your FoV in the way you like it? Why don't you turn head bob in the minimum? I can't understand why people are complaining about these things when you can adjust them just in the way you like. And bit more offtopic, why the hell server admins name their servers as veteran servers when they really are regular? Nowadays I can find maybe three servers that are really veteran and hundreds servers that say they are veteran but then they got 3rd person and/or crosshair etc. enabled. Tents should be removed from the game or at least you shouldn't be able to storage stuff in there. I think tents should be just better log out places than open sky. If you log out in a tent then there isn't any negative effect when you log in back. Backpacks should be the only storage so you have to make decisions between stuff you want to have with you. If tents won't be removed in the standalone and you can storage stuff in there, then at least they should disappear after you die, so you can't re-gear instantly.

I liked DayZ a lot back in May-June when everything was new, there was maybe 10-20 servers and people didn't KoS much but wanted to cooperate. But it quickly turned into a killing fest when more (underage) people came in and then this game really started to get boring. You couldn't interact with other players without getting shot instantly. And it got even worse when duping and script kiddies came in. - I think standalone needs better balance of weapon spawning. Somehow to restrict the max amount of "OP" weapons per server - Get rid of those tents and you can't have so much stuff with you. This means you really have to make decisions and not have "all da fancy 'tuff" - Better, scarier and more zombies - Able to shout in the distance for better player interaction - Some survival aspects which rocket and his team are already developing I'm seeing that we will see all those things that I mentioned in the standalone and I think we need those changes a lot.

That British weapon doesn't belong in Chernarus in any form.

This could be achieved with LAN and I don't know any MP games without LAN option. But prepare to a (short) lonely journey with tons of zombies :P

It is still RV engine so why wouldn't ballistics be the same? It could take even more time to make different shitty ballistics rather than import Arma's :D

Does this truly become 'Steam only' at first? If so then I need to wait for a longer than I thought. I like to launch games through steam because I like the overlay but I don't like the idea that games are under one account and not local. I'm a bit skeptic about the future of Steam because anything can happen in big business. Games Like Arma, DayZ, Company of Heroes and any driving simulator are games that I really like to 'own'. I don't like the idea of 3rd party softwares because I really don't own those games then.

But I watched your rpt file and didn't saw much bad in it when I compared it to mine. It just seems to stop without a reason. Sometimes you get almost through and sometimes not. But first time you got this: You maybe fixed and tried againThen second time nothing weird. Third time this: Dunno what this is :PBut then fourth time nothing again Fifth time it crashes instantly on this: Did your game crashed once? Maybe something to do with drivers or just bugged dunno. Try to download latest drivers? And everytime after that it just stops on some spot like in 2nd and 4th times and once your character maybe even spawned. So I don't see good reasons in your rpt file to your kicks. Maybe battleye problem? It is weird that you couldn't get DayZ work with commander and other launchers. Maybe you should try to download latest beta just in case. Sorry I can't help much anymore. I hope someone else can.
