  1. Hill that's between Stary and Prud. It always comes in my mind first. Favorite places are area between Mogilevka, Nazezhdino and Kozlovka, Old Fields, Altar and Novy Lug Here's the reason for the Stary/Prud hill:

    Then it's likely not a bug. "- I bet most of you will be overheating and sweating while sprinting hundreds of meters in full gear, long clothes and with gloves, masks, vests and helmets on top of it all in summer weather with air temperature around 30°C" Constantly running in the hot weather isn't the most pleasant thing to do so that's why you're overheating. Just imagine yourself running same way as in the DayZ.

    Does the overheating also happen when you're standing still or walking?

    Is steam workshop still planned?

    Yes. Why it wouldn't be? First they need to give molding tools.

    0.59 vs 0.60 CPU working differences

    AMD GPUs have also their downside. They usually need more CPU overhead and their performance/watt hasn't been that good. But they've been improving so let's see. So it all comes down to the small stuff. GTX480 is sounding nice for the price. If the engine still loves raw IPC, AMD FX is still far away from something like Intel 2600K, especially when comparing clock-to-clock.

    Dayz Gold release + Reliability

    I'm still thinking that it gets gold in 2017. I didn't see 2016 realistic when the DayZ was released back in Dec. 2013. The estimation release was 2,5 - 3 years so around June 2016 - December 2016. I don't really care about the release because I know the game will be developed bit like Arma so the game is bit kind of beta until a sequel comes.
  7. "WARNING: THIS GAME IS EARLY ACCESS ALPHA. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVELY SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME AND ARE PREPARED TO HANDLE WITH SERIOUS ISSUES AND POSSIBLE INTERRUPTIONS OF GAME FUNCTIONING." If you're playing just withing the edge of system requirements in early access game then really be prepared for something to change.

    0.59 vs 0.60 CPU working differences

    I wouldn't really be sure about that anymore. Shadows are bit different now so that might have changed. Not sure if stencil shadows even exists anymore.

    GPU STRESS

    Get better cooling in your case and clean things up. How much is your fps usually? You could run vsync or something so your fps is limited and GPU isn't stressed as much. Or you could underclock and lower the voltages of your GPU. Those two options requires you to sacrifice some fps. If you can't do it or cleaning doesn't help then too bad for you.

    I don't like the idea of stamina with infected. Players only should've the stamina so zombies can catch you. And I wouldn't mind faster infected like Irishjake said. No point to make them even easier. Also zombies have 99,99% of the time less equipment on them than an average player, so both having stamina would be totally pointless.

    Exp Update: 0.60.+++

    Yep. It doesn't make me want to survive, it makes me feel that I want to kill myself because the game looks just so ugly and at least as a fresh spawn I can enjoy real life colors again. It's way too aggressive and it starts pretty much instantly when you've lost some health/blood (can't remember which one). I could understand if the dying is actually very close but the color change starts from the first hit.
  12. As you might have read, Bohemia has opened their new Feedback Tracker. You can find it from the front page of this forum when you click the Feedback tab or going in https://feedback.bistudio.com/ First thing that you likely notice is that the feedback tracker is very confusing and you're having hard time to find anything. This is where this topic comes to help you out to get the best out of the feedback tracker! If you had old feedback tracker account, you can get it back! Go to log in and press the "Forgot your password?" and fill it. That way your password resets. All the old tickets, files and stuff should still be there. Customize your view and settings. I'd suggest you to press Customize Menu.. from the left. That way you can Pin applications there. I suggest you to have following things pinned: - Maniphest, you can search bugs - Dashboards, you can create custom pages. Very helpful if you don't like the default one. I've made one and you're free to use and copy it and make yourself own and share it! - Files, you can find all the files that you've uploaded in the tracker - Mail, just in case so you can see all the mail Legalpad, Passphrase and Spaces I don't know what they do. Other things you can't access. You can find settings from the top left corner from the wrench picture. I suggest you to at least set the email notifications right away to your liking. I set things on Notify. Notifications should appear in the bell in the top left corner just like in these forums (except here it's right). Also set other things in the settings to your liking. Now that things are set-up you might like to learn how to use search and where you can report bugs. Using search and saving them as Queries: I suggest you to click the Maniphest from the left. Those default queries might not interest you because they're from all the three games. Use the Advanced Search. Things are pretty self-explainary in there but you likely want to search for DayZ tickets only. You can find them when you click the magnifying glass on the Tags field and write DayZ in there. There should be a red DayZ icon appearing which is the DayZ project. That's the tag to find every DayZ ticket. Use the magnifying glass to find stuff easier on the fields. When you've typed everything in the search bar(s) you press "Execute Query". Notice that there appears "Save Custom Query" right next to the "Execute Query". It's a handy tool if you want to save custom queries because you'll use those if you want to custom your Dashboard ;) Saved queries also appear on the left, but I'm not 100% sure how long they remain there or was there just a bug for me, because my yesterday queries were deleted. Reporting bugs: There's plus icon ( + ) on the top left corner. Click that and choose the right option. Fill as much information as possible! The feedback tracker is still pretty W.I.P. for DayZ because the Categories are from Arma 3. But don't let that confuse you. Always remember to try search before reporting a new bug! Someone might have already reported the bug, so there's no need to make duplicates. If you see necessary, comment the found ticket that you've also the issue, post your information and so on. Dashboards: Dashboard is you front page of the feedback tracker. You can find active dashboards here https://feedback.bistudio.com/dashboard/ You might want to test my Dashboard at first https://feedback.bistudio.com/dashboard/view/5/ Click Manage Dashboard from the top right corner. It should open the manage page. There you can click the Install Dashboard button to install it. You can change to any dashboard that way. You can also copy the dashboard and make your own version. If you're DayZ only user, those Arma 3 and Take On Mars stuff are likely useless stuff for you. Making a dashboard, you need to create or use existing panels. I'm sure there could come better later and the default one likely also gets improvements. Have a happy bug hunting and hopefully this helped a bit :) Also share your tips about the feedback tracker. I might have missed some things out. https://feedback.bistudio.com/
  13. Yes it "wins" time but there's not much reason to get anywhere quickly. Testing wise it's nice to get quickly somewhere but when I'm playing, I've nothing to win getting quickly anywhere. Getting shot doesn't really change if you sprint or run. You'll be shot anyway if the other player wants to do it. The first shot usually misses or you don't die to it so of course it's good to start sprint and zig-zag when there's a real threat. Constant sprinting through the woods still doesn't win you anything other than time. That can (should) change in the future. Food and drink isn't hard to come by currently but when it again happens, people who don't like to pick berries and they constatly sprint everywhere, they're the first ones to start the moaning in the forums and feedback tracker, how they die in 10mins. I understand your view but I just tried to help and courage to actually not use constant sprinting because you really don't need it in this game. It's just a habit to "win" the game quickly. Kind of an achievement hunter style so you hoard achievements as quickly as many as possible but in the end it it didn't win anything. It just makes hungry for more but more doesn't come unless you start to play a completely different game.
  14. 99% of the time I don't use sprint. It consumes more energy and liquid than just normal run with W only. I know the pain you're talking but I suggest you tu change the playstyle because constant sprint doesn't actually win you anything.

    That's called hardcore ;) You can still play the game because there are so many servers, so the punishment is pretty minimal. Of course that shouldn't be applied in experimental and shouldn't be enabled too early in the development because of bugs and vulnerability.

    Yeah. Quick solution would be a ban from the server you die for the amount of time it takes gear from the body to get cleaned. It helps so you could maybe even see your body later but naturally stuff is wiped out. So no need to wait for a complete body wipe.

    Low fps in towns still

    It's more likely your 660Ti that has the problem with AA, ATOC and PP stuff. They can be pretty hard even for GTX970. Those settings load the GPU mostly. Also many towns are OK now. For example Svetlo dropped my fps down to 18 at worst. Now the lowest was 55fps.

    DayZ Q&A: Design

    - Is there some cross designing going on with DayZ and Arma? - How are in charge: Programmers or Designers? ;) - Can you mention some design that was just too much for the programmers? - Have the working tools improved a lot over the couple of years you've been working on DayZ?

    Hmm interesting. They changed something in the recent patch then? Flares only showed around 150m away on Monday.

    Gamma and Brightness - Night Play

    Does that mod work in dev branch? You know they added brightness, contrast and saturation sliders. Yes there are now 2 brightness sliders. I could imagine messing around with the contrast slider could make it more exploitable again.

    Exp Update: 0.60.+++

    I liked it a lot. It was just so active and a lot of duplicates. Very powerful tool when used (and reported) right. Next one we will be able to log in with the Bohemia account so people don't need to make a new account for that.

    No I haven't test that on players. Haven't seen any and I've only played for 10mins until the server restarted. Just too much effort to try play when the servers are constantly full. You can see that the other zombie far away on the tracks is still rendered though there maybe was a point where the metal pilars made it not to render. I'm wondering if that zombie is the paramedic one or is that happening because the "train waiting platform" occludes too much. It was the paramedic one.
