This is to all those who say "Rocket you must release it now because Battlefield 4, next CoD, GTA V etc. come soon!". Well there are coming many more version of those games but DayZ will be the first one of its kind so the interest is always the same. Also many of those games get boring after while and DayZ might not be even v1.0 then so people got plenty of time :P Only thing DayZ needs to do is to hit in the right cap just like Arma 3 did so it won't get buried too much under the mainstream media but even that isn't needed at the first alpha release because there isn't enough keys/servers. -

So I'm suggesting here that we should be able to choose from different voice levels when talking on our mics or type something just like choosing between direct, side, group etc channels. I think we need this kind of system so we can interact much further and not just KoS because I can't shout on someone bit further away. And if possible the more higher level you talk the louder it is near but not too loud. I'm suggesting like 4 levels which are: - Whisper. Can be heard to maybe 5-10m - Talk. Can be heard to 30m - Shout. Can be hear to 100m - Scream. Can be hear to 150-200m Of course these could be different values. One important thing also is to see how far away is the chatter or VON talker. Maybe even add clock indicator if that's possible for chat so we can see what direction the shout and scream are coming but i don't see necessary for talk and whisper. Here are two examples: (Whisper) Jim: Shh I heard something (3 o'clock Shout) Jim: Hey you there! Have anyone else ever think about something like this and what do you think? Edited a bit

I'm doing exactly the same thing with Pepsi vs Coke, I pick up Pepsi :P Lol never had in my mind that Finnish word pussi (bag, packet) reminds pussy. And btw megapussi isn't brand name, it just means mega bag.

I don't have any problems to come by an animal in DayZ. Just run on or scan a open field and almost always there's an animal. If you're low on blood, kill an animal or two, cook it, spam eat it all and you have enough blood again to continue your journey or hunt couple more animals just in case. If we couldn't spam food in this patch to regain health then I could understand you. -

This is what I've always believed this game will be. If I want to play some fast action zombie game I choose for example L4D. DayZ isn't just survive against the zombies or humans, it's also survive against the environment. Water purification or meat cooking isn't really that hard what you make it sound. Empty tin cans, hatchets, knives, animals, water bottle, and matches can be found pretty easily. If you don't like cooking or purify water then you can eat canned food and drinks with no risk of infection. Btw the infection chance isn't too big if you drink unpurified water and antibiotics are easy to come by nowadays. -

If that's Arma 2 weapon then there's a chance that the torch haven't ever worked and then it's Arma's problem.

I think it is easier at night. Zombies can't see you that well and they go after flares so it's pretty easy to survive in towns. Just don't throw flares right to the spot where you're heading or the zombies will surround you. But I agree the pitch black part of the night time is a bit overdone. I really hope that there will be flashlights that don't sway like a crazy in your hand. I believe it shouldn't be hard to make headlights in this game except if the light mess up with the Arma's "eyesimulator".

I'll clear my opinion. What I think this patch did was a one step in the right direction with the zombies. The zombies make a horde again and firing a gun brings you some bad time, but this patch went bit over the board with that. It just takes little tweaking in ranges and it will be near perfect and that's what the devs are now doing. I believe the next hotfix shows how hard the zombies should be in DayZ. I really enjoy this patch because I see the potential again in this. -

Why not just play Arma 2 wasteland, warfare, domination etc. if you need all the 1000+ vehicles; AS50, map, compass, lots of mags and so on. -
Sounds fair. The talking range seemed to be really too big and that zed spawning sounds good. No no no no no these just spoil the kids. You shouldn't log out anywhere near the zeds. Was the chase combat logging somehow broken or why remove it?

Invasion 44 (I44) mod style vault or ShacTac bunny hop would be 1000 times better than this one.
