Video options and turn off Post Processing. Only thing it really does is add blur so you shouldn't even use it. Higher levels it adds AO that basically doesn't do anything in Arma 2 and that eats HUGE amount of fps. -

This sounds some solution. If you've run in standing position like 20s you could switch to the 3rd person but if you stop, change your stance or go from W to S/A/D your view is reseted. But you could still exploit with it somehow because the camera is so up and far away from your character. -
I really hope that they'll do the complete overhaul with zombie AI. One of the biggest problem IMO is how fast they try to move. Too fast AI in RV engine seems to be very buggy. I hope that Rocket has thought to slow the zombies down inside the buildings at least because even players would've problems to move that fast inside the buildings without collision problems or stuck somewhere. OK I know that AI can glitch through the walls but they really need to get rid of it or at least tone it down because it looks very stupid and ugly. Rocket can slow the zombies down, add damage to make them kill you faster and then add stamina/fatigue system to the players so we can't run all the time to keep the balance.

Basically he doesn't want 24/7 cry babies who moan on the forums and doesn't give that way any constructive critic. It's better that there are 50 dedicated people that can give constructive critic and one moaner than 50 dedicated people and 10000 cry babies covering all the constructive critic. -

DayZ SA isn't really a sandbox. If there's no editor or a way to change/manipulate the game world as much as you want then it's not a sandbox. DayZ is just an open world survival game. I've no idea where you had heard that. There might be graphical settings restrictions compared to Arma that for example you can't turn shadows or grass completley off but that's opposite of blurry and annoying. Post process or blur effects are optional. -

I'm not a fan of choosing your spawn point. What about move the spawn points North and West of the map for a change? Only thing is that there are two airfields more near so airfield loot spawn might need some tweaking. -

Very likely. In Arma 3 you only see them in night time. It also looks too big when you're watching it from those angles in 3rd person view but in reality (in the game) the muzzle flash is around as long as the gun. At least in Arma 3 the muzzle flash looks very big when watching from that angle but that DayZ flash seems to be bit bigger what MX rifles have in A3. -

Arma is a sandbox so that's the reason it isn't bad thing when it has 3rd person. With 3rd person you can demonstrate and showcase things better, find some animation bugs or other bugs more easily etc. That's why Arma shouldn't ever get rid off it. PvP/E shouldn't allow 3rd person and that's what DayZ will purely be. -

Third person cut is a must. Third person is good for demonstrating animations and some other stuff but it never should be enabled when you're in the server. I really don't get the headache argument unless you get it in other games which just means you shouldn't play FPS like Battlefield, CoD, MoH, RO or Arma. In Arma you can turn the head bob off almost completely and then there's less or as much head bob than in any of those games that I mentioned. /OK Rocket could enable third person in alpha because it's good for some bug testing. -

DayZ is developed for PC only at first. So The consoles are the ones who suffer this time because of their hardware not other way around. The first and original Operation Flashpoint didn't suffer anything in PC side when it came to consoles and this will be the case with DayZ. -

I share your feelings Cap'n but there never was much public PvP activity in A2. I really enjoyed A2 Project Reality but it pretty much died when DayZ came in. It's a shame because it was the best public PvP game mode/mod in A2 because there people really seemed to co-operate. Now I just wait that something happens in A3. Probably nothing epic will happen before 2014.
