Bad fps or you haven't turned off negative mouse acceleration and smoothing and tuned .cfg file. Arma 3 is so fluid compared to Arma 2 that there are people complaining that it's way too fluid and arcade. I got your problems with Arma 2 but not with Arma 3 and I'm expecting the same for DayZ.

Got to say if you haven't played Arma 3 you'll be amazed how much difference the new lighting and HDR does. I'm constantly swearing when I'm playing Arma 2 just because the Arma 3 lighting and HDR removed every annoyance about the Arma 2 lighting and HDR. You dont burn your eyes anymore when zooming in the forest or get pretty dark screen in some cases :D

Devblogs might continue even after the release. I'm expecting to see at least one devblog before the release.

You mean the alpha release or v1.0 release? Rocket has said that better audio comes pretty last maybe around beta or something. If v1.0 your March sounds very optimistic.

Let's hope that this time 5.1/7.1 system works better. In Arma 3 it's pretty fucked up now.

I think the final lap is done because one month has passed and they're now testing.. After the test we see if it's really ready and do we need a grande finale lap to fix performance.

I believe the priority is first release and Linux just comes at some point.

Like always they first make it for Windows and add Linux afterwards. Arma 3 also doesn't have Linux yet.

I'm guessing that the launch is in the beginning of December. Let's see (tomorrow?) how the test goes.

Research? Sorry I wrote standalone when I meant mod. Of course when stamina is added zombies could be slowed down just like Evans said. I'm not sure what you meant with "balanced getaway solutions" so I reacted. Balanced sounds often boring to me.

Good getaway solution would be get some friends and managing your stamina so you can outrun or lose enough zombies so you can deal with them with close combat weapon if you don't have a gun. Mod is boring because you can always lose zombies no matter what and that's the issue that makes the mod boring and a big deathmatch. /Wrote standalone when I meant mod :D Yes the Arma 3 stamina system isn't hardcore enough yet. You can still run endlessly.

Nope. What about you shoot them, lost them or they get you. No need for climbing, roof jumping or hiding in wardrobes. Stamina would balance it nicely and works nicely with this engine (look at ACE). Proper line of sight is already there.

OK I wouldn't wait that big increase. If you can't run Arma 2 in the editor with decent fps don't wait to run DayZ with decent fps. -
At some point it was that "the chosen ones" can stream before the release but things have very likely changed :(
