    Tweak your controls so you won't use tab and alt at the same time. I've never pushed them at the same time in this game because tweaking the controls was the first thing before I even went in a server. /G for gear is my hint ;)

    Why is this not in the game yet?

    People really shouldn't care about server hopping, combat logging, loot farming etc yet. When the patch notes say they want some feedback of those and the development is enough far for that then we can start to worry about those things. Of course giving good ideas how to solve those problems are always welcome but don't expect those things to be addressed soon.

  9. i7 2600K @ 4,4GHz MSI 560 Ti 448 1,2GB @ 800/2000MHz G.Skill RipjawsX 8GB 1600MHz Windows 7 64-bit Graphics settings: Forest: CPU usage 20-30%, GPU usage 99% FPS mostly over 60. Cities: CPU usage 20-30%, GPU usage mostly under 50% FPS vary between 25-40 depending how many buildings in fov. Conclusion: In cities CPU is "bottlenecked" BUT it is always the same no matter where I am so something is badly optimized. I tested alone in the Arma 2 editor and my CPU usage in Cherno is more like 35-55% which means that even hyper threading is used though I've set my CPU count to 4 and my GPU usage is 75-99%. So in DayZ standalone something doesn't let me use the CPU power that I would have to run the cities at 60 or more fps. Multiplayer testing in Arma 3 in domination server gives me the same CPU usage as in DayZ standalone. The difference with this bottleneck compared to Arma multiplayer bottleneck is that the game does let you to run very high fps outside of the cities. In Arma it seems way more limited. But the CPU usage in Arma multiplayer and DayZ seems to be the exact same so DayZ is still bottlenecked like the same way as Arma multiplayer does but in DayZ that seems to happen in the cities only. Something is still too much synced in DayZ so the CPU doesn't get fully used because CPU usage alone in the editor is much higher than usage in MP. So saying that "you get about the same fps as in Arma editor alone" is far from the truth at this point. My end conculsion is that when there are a lot of syncin inside the bubble which is mostly in the cities because players, zombies and loot are there so you get bad fps inside the cities because the buildings would demand more CPU power. The CPU usage doesn't rise because it needs to be synced with the server just like in any other RV engine game but this time in a smaller area. Still you've to remember one thing. Rocket has said that they haven't optimized client side yet at all so this hopefully turns around at some point. I'm still not sure is this still a very deep problem or just a small optimization problem now. That would be really nice to hear.

  13. I just guess that they've written a way so they don't need that code anymore but nobody just didn't delete the old part. Kind of "Ah it's finished now and working. I'll remove that unnecessary old part tomorrow..." but that somebody didn't remember to do that. They had found a way to stop the easy scripting but forgot to close the door behind but now it's finally closed. Got to hope that this door was the only one and now people really need to start hacking.
  14. Do you even care if you're taken seriously? How cool is this kind of trolling? I see that you like to discuss about games sold as alpha nowadays and how awful it is. Do a topic in off-topic and discuss there how bad practice it is and how people are beign ripped off and maybe people will start to discuss about it. DayZ isn't the only game that is doing it now and you can find discussion about games sold as an alpha everywhere around the internet so I'm not interested to hear again and again of one liners about that on many topics where we shouldn't discuss about it.

    Extreme FPS drop yet good computer

Just linking that you're not the only one. Lowering graphics has helped me to get some fps unlike in Arma where it doesn't help at all when you're bottlenecked. Just don't afraid to go around low/very low on some graphic settings.

    What I think the night should look like;

    All pictures are 18, 21, 24, 03 and 06 o'clock in that order: Arma 2 clear night sky Arma 2 cloudy night sky I can throw Arma 3 lighting in Chernarus comparsion later. If the graphics/lighting engine gets upgraded somewhere in the level of Arma 3 I can say the night time is beautiful and not black & grey like what we have now. But those photoshops got bit too much color at least on that right house.

    What I think the night should look like;

    I got one proposal so you can even see little in pitch black. Add "light" that reaches 0,5m-1m around you but of course other players don't see that "light" so it's only client side. In real life you can touch, feel, smell and hear and that "light" would simulate those.

    That upper picture reminds Arma 3 lighting. But that picture is way too bright. So there's hope. DX11? I also hope that the screen going grey after lost blood is removed at some point. Kills all the beauty of the Chernarus :( That picture looks like the guy has lost some blood.
