    GPU / CPU Low Utilization @ Objects

    The reason is that the server doesn't allow you to use all the CPU power to render those objects. I've exactley the same CPU usage (20-30%) everywhere in the map in Arma multiplayer and DayZ. The CPU usage would need to be more like 30-50% in the cities so the GPU usage would be fully utilized.
  2. The weapon can be easily raised if you want. Keep it always lowered and use raise key but don't toggle it unless you're outside. I can easily hold ctrl or space to do this. I like this suggestion but I'm not 100% sure would it be necessary for DayZ but the dev team seems to want to simulate movement with altering the negative mouse acceleration so this would be the logical next step.

    Mosin vs M4A1

    OK I complained about M4 accuracy before but now I tried to film the test and the M4 was very accurate. Easy long shots with ACOG. Something was bugged maybe because I checked that everything was pristine including all the mags and still is. So if you're experiencing weird accuracy try another server or something. Need to find what was causing that.

    Who have you killed?

    I haven't killed anyone yet but I've hit couple guys who have tried to kill me or my friend. Or maybe they bled out but I couldn't find the bodies because it was night.
  8. There was collision but it was the same no matter if you had M107 or a M1911. I've an album about this. The last picture shows that you couldn't get your back any more closer to the wall. The mod used in the later state st_movement but it only reduced this collision.
  9. I'm not against this but I can live without it. Weapon lenght collision simulation was never in Arma so it can't make a comeback ;)

    Nope it's good. There's maybe too many military bases already. But I remember that they'll or have already expanded the map bit to the west. Btw you mean west side of the map.

    m4 is really inaccurate.

    DayZ tries to simulate many things like Arma and some things even better and then giving that ridiculous dispersion for M4 wouldn't have any sense. You really need to try couple mags to see how bad it is. That can't be a feature. Wind and realistic dispersion values are the things and not some artificial limitation. I really trust Bohemia in this.

    Low FPS in forest, High FPS in cities

    Forest is GPU heavy and seems like your GPU is pretty bad. Cities are CPU heavy so that's why you get better fps in cities.

    The horribel Roll menu

    I know that even Rocket hates this system but I'm giving little feedback so far: You did what Arma team hasn't been able to do in 11+ years. You removed weapon changing from the menu. That's already a huge plus+++. Interacting through the gear menu was in the mod ut now that it's in the engine that's another good thing. Action menu should interact only with the world or other people not with yourself or what you've in your hand. We maybe need two action menus "interaction" and "self interaction" so there's no way you'll start interact with yourself or what's in your hand when you want to interact with the world or other people. The self interaction is kind of already there because of the gear menu system. Examples: If I've a rotten banana in my hand I don't want to have force feed and eat it myself cluttered in the same menu. If I've flashlight in my hands I don't want to have turn on/off flashlight and door opening cluttered in the same menu. If I want to watch gear of a body I can use the gear key. The gear doesn't need to be cluttered with anything else in the action menu so remove it from the menu. If I've M4 in my hands and have different mags in my gear and I try to climb a ladder. That's a huge clutter of actions for a very simple thing when they could be seperated. Etc. there are as much examples as there are hings that you can interact with in the world. Naturally the action detection needs to be improved for ladders and doors etc at the same time so you won't open a door behind a wall or climb a ladder through a wall or watch the ladder and can't get the action to climb. This isn't much about action menu and probably has been suggested before but. We also need more hotkeys for things like compass, map, turn on/off the flashlight or whatever light source you got in your hands or just a global turn on/off key because with M4 this could be handy and maybe some more. Just wanted to say something more about this.

    The action menu. It works in DayZ now pretty well because gun switching isn't cluttering it anymore unlike in Arma and you need to do things with the item on your hand. But it can still give some miss clicks but I haven't had much problem with it in DayZ but I've scenarios in my mind now where it can frusturate.

    Item shape in relation to slots.

    The inventory is good. Kind of simulates searching items from the backpack or pockets. Only improvement could be that the slot system is replaced with volume system so a pen does take a very small room compared to a can of beans and we could stack things better but of course backpack and tactical vest for example are different inventories like now.

    Like Gews posted on the first page http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=871 "M4 has 0.1 dispersion compared to 0.00175 in ARMA2." So the number is waaaaay off now. Just try to shoot at 200m with acog and you see the effect. Bullets with that dispersion number spread a lot. So it's a bug.

    Player Movement/Movement in General

    I'm going to pick this thread. Seems like they're going to build a system around the negative mouse acceleration http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1t3ycp/pending_update_rev_113759/ce46f1y?context=3 This could be good system if the movement and input were in a level of Arma 3. Now it feels very awful that's even step backwards from Arma 2 which horrible sometimes. I could play Arma 3 with negative mouse acceleration and I did that for some months without even noticing it. So the system needs to be pretty perfect for it to work. I'm not against the dexterity system that's build around negative mouse acceleration and maybe some smoothing, actually I suggested something like that in Arma 3, because in that game the movement/animation foundation feels pretty solid, but it needs to be pretty perfect or it's a wasted effort. There's probably now some bad animation system combined with the negative mouse acceleration that the movement feels that awful? I just don't know that if the base with mouse acceleration (though we can't test that now) isn't solid then can the system ever even work with negative mouse acceleration?

Seems like they've just multiplied the amount of sold with $30.
  24. You can keep the other one in your back and take the other one in your hands. If you want to take anything in your hands you need to drop the one in your hands on the ground. Or is there enough room in a big backpack for a gun?
