Am I only one seeing something like 2,6GB RAM usage for DayZ or even more. I'd like total of 6GB of RAM usage and when I closed DayZ it dropped down to 2,9GB -

Hmm I found some flare gun flares... And at the same time I alt+tabbed I found myself dead when writing this. No idea what happened. -
Yep I also advice this. I've 186h behind 90% of that in experimental. Better not to burn out yourself so early.
-
Oooh I missed that also!

World containers woo! Soft skills. Sounds interesting. I really like the idea of small skills.

I'm hungry for nettle bread. Grandmom used to make that onomnonmonm. :beans:

Ultimate thing for public hive would be: Synced weather and season on every server. Synced time on every server but day cycle needs to be bit under 24h (not too much or the immersion is gone) so it's not always the same time every day at the same time. Public hives should be only hosted by trusted people. There are already too many servers on the game to choose.

After a year, Should I replace a GTX 660 for something more powerful?
St. Jimmy replied to 5mirkeh's topic in Technology/Programming
GTX 970 or no upgrade. Low power conspumtion, high performance and not too expensive. Hopefully you've 3570K because if not then too bad you likely can't OC and that would buy a lot of lifetime for the CPU. -
Funny thing is some people still kill you on those servers because they're sooo afraid to loose anything... Happened to me and I was in the same gear after 30mins.

Anyone Remember World Containers?
St. Jimmy replied to Damnyourdeadman's topic in General Discussion
Wel I imagine it's easier to spawn things inside something because you don't have to worry about if the loot is floating on the air or if it's clipping through something. -
Anyone Remember World Containers?

This is a big thing that I'd like to see in the future. Way better than just finding things from the floor. Fridge can have food, kitchen cabins can have knives etc, wardrobes can have clothes and so on. Just like in Project Zomboid. -
Yep the fps side only may be one of the best out there and the best part is that there's a lot more than just fps.

Laxemann is doing this kind of mod in Arma 3 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?186407-L_armFatigue-Because-keeping-your-weapon-raised-is-a-bad-idea! Did you Gibonez take inspiration from there? :P

Everyone can hold their gun on their waist or on a strap or something like that for long time but this is about holding a gun on eye level. You can't do that without getting bigger sways later on for a too long time. This is more of a problem when you're standing up. Kneeling with arms supported on the body and prone naturally don't fatigue arm if at all. But if you can't get your arm or gun supported on anything you can't get a steady aim for a long time and you need to take breaks.

Ah I felt kind of same today. I can't remember when was the last time I've saw sun rise or set in DayZ but today was the day for a long time. From darkness to the nice shine and color changes in couple of hours were nice thing to see. Too bad you were KoSed. I met one friendly man when I was in a journey with my friend and we did a little trick for my friend while he was idle :D 5 man in a server and there we were three of us in the same spot 500m south of Zub.

Yep good server and mission even with 60+ players constant 50-60fps or more, bad server and bad mission with 30 players fps doesn't rise above 30. DayZ fps well... it's just DayZ there's nothing to do about that other than wait for the optimization. Overclock your CPU and RAM and remember that RAM isn't set automatically at the 2133MHz but you need to set it manually. I've 4,7GHz with the same cooler with 2600K and I could maybe even go further.

0 should be the same as an empty slider.

FPS Problems (and I know DAYz isnt optimized)
St. Jimmy replied to mcolema5's topic in Troubleshooting
We are all on the same boat. Disabling shadows, AA and put object detail on standard or lower should help in towns. -
And this is the point where DayZ could shine ;) Arma 3 already has stamina though it's pretty short term but DayZ could achieve even more because there's also food/drink system.
-
Full backpack, a gun, a weapon, maybe a vest and clothing and even jogging is exhausting. You could jog 1-3km really depending on the weight but after that it can become very unpleasant.
-
The game is so much different when you're just walking everywhere as much as possible and I think it needs to be forced with a stamina/fatigue/weight system. I did walking only as much as possible in the winter experimental and Chernarus felt very different and much bigger. I really needed to plan ahead my very town change so I wouldn't starve, get thirsty and get cold.

Better graphic options would be welcome but that likely happens when the renderer stuff is more done.
