There's a long way to go before they start to touch this stuff. I hope as good as Arma 3 graphics options in the end. There are no better graphic options in any game(?) for that kind of stuff. -

Seems like coastal spawns and bit inner spawns on the SE corner is what DayZ is heading. So it's a race to the NW corner and NWAF and there won't be Balota military stuff anymore. -

I also don't like the tetris system too much. They could keep tetris if there would be infinite amount of space in each container and then do it like in Arma 3 so a battery won't take as much space as a hat. Inventory just needs to be weight or space value limited and not limited in the tetris way. /Tetris can be kept but slots should "unlimited"

They first tried to deliver standalone that was just a refined mod in 2012 but they scrapped it and started the whole thing again. So 2012 really didn't deliver anything and the whole project started from the beginning. At the beginning of 2013 the scope was changed and this time they wanted to deliver real standalone that is made from scratch. They delivered it at the end of 2013 but the scope was changed again and now they're making still huge changes in the engine. It was always developed but things got scrapped and scope changed.

V3S is a classic civilian truck also and not just a military vehicle. I also wondered why it is a truck and not something like Lada.

In army I was teached that the fuse time is only 2s and not 5s like in games. Likely just because nobody wouldn't dare to cook the grenade. It's really a gamble like people said earlier. -
Weird that there's no info about changing view and object distances from the .cfg. Lowering them down can bring a lot of fps if your CPU is bottlenecking. That's a big info for low-mid-highmid computers.

DayZ Development progress makes no sense

I believe same will happen for DayZ just like for Arma. The game will get features and stuff after v1.0 for a long time. That will make the game look like that it's never finished but really they could just lock the game down and not develop anything more. It's more interesting for me to watch a platform grow but it has its negative effects like a feeling the game is never completed until the next project is already out. -
I posted this on other topic also: Well they're adding leather wallet in. Maybe that should be a basic thing that everyone has and it doesn't take inventory slot. There you can keep your ID if you want.

Just don't fall to the dark side. If someone is an asshole to you you don't need to be asshole for everyone. I tried to help a noob some days ago. I bandaged him, made a splint for him because zombie broke his leg, gave him some food and talked to him. Then he tried to kill me with his melee weapon after that when I was typing. Hit me like five times but too bad that he didn't know how to hit the head so I poke with my fishing rod through his head after I was done typing the message :D I really wasn't expecting more from a guy that weared a payday mask... -

Has it been always the Vybor bridge? If so that makes very much sense then. Maybe something specific is just made and something glitches the server connection? Just like throwing item that I can't remember crashed the server.But maybe I shouldn't worry and talk about that much because I haven't watched any of those videos except the one on this page and this is probably fixed before I can even experience it :D Ah good old Vybor bridge and the clones are back. -

So any confirm from other people that the hack doesn't really kill your original character? That would mean the hacker cuts communication with the central hive and does it job then or something like that. Doesn't sound anything as bad as the mod hacking because there you lost your character. -

What Was Your Favorite Part About The New Dev Blog?

You don't need to swin axe 1m above your head to be effective. You don't need much room to cause damage with an axe if you place your hand closer to the axe's head. Also hitting a wall behind you which isn't even realistic was one of the biggest problems with the old system. Too bad I've deleted a video where I showed how stupid it looked. -

Watch the picture again and see how much the arc is further from the axe blade. Especially upper part is unrealisticly high from the real arc and only brings confusion and annoyance. It's even very stupid to start the hit detection so much behind because 100% of the time you want to hit things you watch and not above or behind you. The arc should start somewhere around the 11th dot counted from left and be closer to the player.
