  1. Being able to build a large radio to broadcast all over the map is an awesome idea. There are so many cool things you could do with that. It would make things like trying to organize player-created trade areas easier, you could have clans that pretend to be friendly and broadcast over a channel as a rescue area, then capture and torture anyone who falls for the bait, or you could just play music over it until someone comes along and blows your head off for having such bad taste in music. So many endless possibilities.

The game DayZ is striving to be...

It would be cool to have this. It would definitely open up more in-character play styles by allowing characters to look the part. Although I think that a player's name should remain difficult to identify.

    Boring.

Also, getting familiar with the map will help with knowing where you are and where you're going.

I created a DayZ trading platform

This is a cool idea. Nice work! Just some constructive criticism from my first look at the page: I had some trouble telling whether a trade in the initial window represented just a trade offer, or whether it was a list of all recent trades. Also your search function is caps sensitive right now.

Has anyone found the mp5 buttstock yet? I don't know of anyone that's found that in 0.49

    Speculation about "coming" loot system(s)?

Right now day z is a game where people can go around to the different towns and cities, fighting zombies and avoiding the bandits that may be lurking around the corner, for the chance to score that rare gun that they may come across in a police station, or that cool piece of military gear that they've been really hoping to find. If persistence is done in a bad way, that aspect of the game could very well be lost forever, which would ruin the experience for a lot of people. I personally don't want day z to devolve into a purely clan-based war game, or one where new players have to go on some neckbeard's private server and find his secret stash of tents in order to be able to find a cool gun. Sure, scarcity is fine, as long as it doesn't destroy the game that many of us have come to love in the process.

Heli crashes with random no loot?

I have also run into the half-buried helicopters with no loot whatsoever in fairly remote locations. I dry hump the helicopters quite vigorously for a good 15 minutes hoping to glitch my way into finding something, but to no avail. In any case, whenever I do find loot it's been pretty disappointing, so I am at least a bit surprised that I don't always see the garbage lying around whenever I come across them. It's hard to imagine someone picking up a pile of soiled diapers and stuffing them in their backpack when they could be holding something more useful like a can of soda.

    DayZ The Journey Continues

Once you've been around the places enough they just become really familiar. Novo, Cherno, Electro, all of them are big cities and are pretty recognizable by tell-tale landmarks and the way the roads and buildings are laid out. The buildings themselves are pretty much the same way. Once you've looted them enough, you start to become familiar with which ones drop the loot that you're looking for, so it makes life a lot easier. For example, office buildings, hospitals, police stations, fire stations are some typical buildings that you can find guns in, military barracks have all the top tier military gear, the white house with the piano will usually have a gun or a magazine, etc.

    DayZ The Journey Continues

You found a pristine long range scope! Damn son, hold onto that. When you get a mosin you will be a happy camper. Some tips: make sure to eat all the food you have until you are light green on "energized" and "hydrated". Once you're light green on both, keep at most two canteens and two cans of food or rice. You really don't need more food than that. Just so you know, you were up north at novo, then headed west to severograd.

    New Military Base (Tisy)

Any further confirmation on the Tisy location? I'm really glad that they'll be putting it there, if so. It'll be cool to see some action in the northwest.

To the guy I just murdered..

I've kos'd a few times but I always feel bad when I do it, so I pretty much decided that I'm going to take the risk and be friendly. It definitely punishes you though. The thing that sucks about not killing on sight is when you catch someone clearly off their guard and are like ,"Hey dude, friendly" and they proceed to sprint out of the room, pull out their gun and start shooting at you.

    Longhorn or Sawed-off Mosin?

All those reasons you mention are why the amphibia is my favourite pistol. Once I've got my primary weapon, the pistol really just serves as a secondary tool, and as such, the amphibia has the most functionality. The main uses I've found are to take out zeds that manage to get in the building with you without getting hit, as well as to snipe zeds from on top of rooftops. It's pretty much the only firearm I would ever use to kill zombies.

Persistence Enabled vs Persistence Disabled [OPTING IN/OUT]

I think there's a major communication fail happening, so I will just walk away from this one.
