Character reset happens more in 3pp than 1pp?

Yeah. I know not to log into newly restarted servers but have any of you experienced more random character resets on max pop and/or 3pp servers? -
I have two main wishes for the inventory: Simply the ability to rotate items. Smaller, more numerous inventory blocks to allow for more item size variation. [both gifs made by me] :) EDIT: Woops. Meant to put this in the suggestions forum.

Come on guys. Lay off. Yes it won't make a great difference but it will help in some situations.

It also allows you to fit items in places they normally wouldn't fit. Like Rotating the MP5 to fit it into the waterproof bag. EDIT: actually. it fits already. I thought the MP5 took up more space. nevermind. :P

So you can better manage your space. Carrying several multi-slot items sometimes doesn't fit but if you could just rotate one or more of them you could fit it all. It also seems silly that you can't rotate items. A sawed off shotgun for example doesn't have to always be lying flat in someone's bag. You could tuck it down the side etc.

So four times the current, like this: Yeah I think that'd be the perfect balance between realistic sizes and practicality. EDIT: though, I'd want them to fix the inventory tetris bug first or it'd be a disaster.

I would actually prefer if they were to make the slots smaller but in greater number, allowing for more item size variation and requiring more inventory management.

Are there ANY 1pp traders in this community? Or does everyone in this trading community only ever play on 3pp US/EU servers? ...I won't dare to ask if there are any fellow Australians or New Zealanders though There wont be any................

I love the idea cities being being full of hundreds of zombies, all on move (slowly) and 1 shot in a city resulting in 20-100 zombies coming running. But I don't think the game will ever be optimized for that many. Though if one day it can, I hope you can craft decoys like small fireworks and firecrackers which can be thrown or placed with a timer fuse to draw zombies away from where you want to go. Tactics like these should be required to enter a city.

Yes. This sounds good but what I'm worried about is regional distribution. There are a lot more American and Europeans servers than Oceania servers. Playing on US or Euro servers is near impossible with 200 - 500 ping on average. If loot is spread out evenly or randomly throughout the public hive as a whole then there would likely be an unfair imbalance between regions due to there being more US or Euro servers. I really like the idea of a compounding wait time. I really think this would work. The cooldown for waits should also compound so that someone can't get around a 30 minute login wait by avoiding trying to log into anything for 5 minutes. Also really support all spawns having a small chance to spawn anything. It'd give the map more life too. I agree. More cars. I'd like it if there were heaps of cars, mostly on main roads like this: Then have the game occasionally replace a random one or two of them with repairable versions. Yeah of course, more advanced modes of transportation have to be rare. I'm in full support of helicopters being SUPER rare, just not cars and motorbikes. Ideally motorbikes should be the easiest to find and fix up followed by cars, etc.

Today I shot a zombie with my AKM and instead of firing one shot like usual, after tapping left mouse button it opened up to full auto and just kept firing long after I had lifted my finger. I don't remember if it stopped by it's self after a second or two of if I toggled it back off my clicking left mouse button again. It really took me by surprise and emptied half my drum mag. Is this a known bug? or is this a new .50 bug?

I don't seem to have any problem with my mouse, but I do have a super laggy Australian internet connection. Even if that was the course, this is still a pretty annoying bug.

So while waiting for my DayZ to update, I made this alternate layout of users trades. Not saying mine is better, just offering an alternate. What do you guys think? it's just a rough idea of how I think it would look best. Obviously this is just for the bit in the middle of the screen. A list is ok and isn't clutter if it's done right. :) I think it's the best way to trade. You can pick what you want to trade from what other other person has rather than rigid offers. Mixed for when I have more than one of the same item but they have different conditions. as for lifting the limit, I think trading is better done that way like I said above.

I really support this "Have" and "Want" idea. That way trades can be more dynamic. You show what you have to offer, for other players to search through, and you have your want list to show what they have to trade you for some of your stuff. Ideally, this could become automated. When some of your items in your have/want match up with another player, you both receive an notification with links to start communication. Even if we never get to that stage, I really think the terminology Have/Want would be the best choice. ___________________________ Feedback I support or suggest: Want / Have terminology as stated above.General location of your character in game."better than [condition level]" as a wanted item condition option."Mixed condition" is also needed for multiples of items. No item limit. People tend to have more than 5 things they have and would be willing to trade. (example)1pp / 3pp as separate listings as they can not interact. region / time-zone of the user.___________________________ I also have some design suggestions, but I'll make those in another post later on. You have done some really great work with all this!

Would be good if this replaced the "hide body" feature. Being able to just delete a body seems stupid.

It matters. Your character on 1st person only and 3rd person servers are different. the character or it's items can't be transferred between them. It's the same for stable/experimental.

I have too much stuff that I can't carry. I can technically carry it all but it takes up a lot of room. I don't have a tent to store excess stuff so I am going to have to drop or trade some of these things. Here's what I've got: SKS painted black (PU scope, 2 clips and a lot of ammo) AK101 Sawed-off IZH-43 (2 reloaders) MP5-K (No magazines or ammo) 1911 now badly damaged (1 magazine and enough ammo) AKM (2 magazines, one a drum and a lot of ammo) 2 Flashbang grenades (I don't really want it though)So what do you think I should keep? It'd drop the SKS if I found an AK101 mag or an AKM. I'm not sure whether the MP5 would be better than the shotgun but again I have ammo for the shotgun already. Also if anyone would like to trade for anything, I'm in Zelenogorsk on 1st person servers. UPDATE: I lost a AKM mag to persistence failing. UPDATE: But I found an AKM Drum mag. UPDATE: The bad news is I got in a laggy fight with a few zombies. My shotgun was ruined and my 1911 badly damaged. So I dropped the shotgun along with it's ammo but kept the loaders. The good news is I found an AKM and switched over to that seeing as I have a drum and regular magazine for it. I'm hanging onto my SKS for now but I'm thinking of dropping it as I don't really need long range. I think I'm going to try and trade everything expect the AKM for something else. Don't know what though. Maybe an Amphibia S or a PSO1 Scope.

I have more morphine than I'm offering to trade. Why the plastic buttstock? I though the wooden one was best? That's what WOBO said in his video I think. Bipods aren't in game currently. I have super laggy internet and 3/4 of melee fights end badly for me. I have to shoot or I will lose half my stuff. But yeah. You pretty much described what I'm doing. -

UPDATE: The bad news is I got in a laggy fight with a few zombies. My shotgun was ruined and my 1911 badly damaged. So I dropped the shotgun along with it's ammo but kept the loaders. The good news is I found an AKM and switched over to that seeing as I have a drum and regular magazine for it. I'm hanging onto my SKS for now but I'm thinking of dropping it as I don't really need long range. I think I'm going to try and trade everything expect the AKM for something else. Don't know what though. Maybe an Amphibia S or a PSO1 Scope. -

Oh wow. Bookmarking that if it is accurate. Kinda wish it was in a more spreadsheet format for easier comparisons though. Good info none the less. How do you find this data? Are all the values out of 10 in the game files or is that just simplifying for comparison?
