Yes. Different food items will give you more energy than others. Some food will add to your hydration too, others will reduce it. For example, rice and powered milk currently have the highest energy content in the game but both will reduce your hydration when eaten because they are very dry.

A summary for those who don't want to sit and watch a 40 minute video: Energised = Slow blood regeneration (1 Blood / second) Energised + Hydrated = Full blood regeneration (3 Blood / second) Energised + Hydrated + 100% blood = Healing (1 Health / second) Healthy = 100% Health Also, your body temperature effects rates of energy and hydration consumption. When too hot, you consume water at a higher rate. The rate increasing the more over heated you are. When too cold, you consume energy at a higher rate. Again, this is increased by how cold you are. This is until you become Hypothermic. When you become Hypothermic you start losing both Health and Blood. It still works for me. The lower food spawns means it's harder to find enough to eat to get light green Energised. I only got to it yesterday when I found two small towns completely unlooted and there were cans of food everywhere. I stocked up and haven't been in the dark green since. As for healing/healthy: Healing is triggered when energised is light green and hydrated at least dark green. Healthy is triggered when the conditions for healing have been met for a few minutes. ~Updated~ Made a new post with more info over on the next page.

I have not seen a single SKS since the .49 update. In .48 they were everywhere! It's a shame because it's my favourite primary weapon.

Cannibalism should only be a last resort, so you should only have to the option to do it when your character is currently starving and about to die. If it worked like that, I'd be happy for it to be in game.

As I was logging in last night (super crappy internet + semi crappy computer = super long load times) a zombie found me and started beating into me. I could see him when I would go to the menu but I couldn't move yet so I just had to stand there and take the beating. When I could finally move, I killed the zombie but I was almost out of blood, full greyscale, and half my stuff was ruined including my favourite gun. So annoying. I have been half reduced to new spawn because I can't move while loading in. I wish your body didn't exist in the game until the moment you can take control. Anything other than that is just massively unfair! :T

As I said in the title, where is the best place to look for up to date development info? where do the dev's post upcoming changes, minor & major, with each weekly update?

I Alt-Tab out of the game then use this map. Make sure no one is around or have a mate cover you while you're in cover and crouching/proning before you tab out though.

Which do you think would be better, the Longhorn or Sawed-off Mosin? I already have a longhorns but I hear they are rare. I might trade it for something then use a sawed-off mosin. I plan to go down the road of stealth, low profile and looking deceptively unkitted with a plain jacket, cargo pants, a leather courier bag and no visible weapons. What do you guys think?

I'm on a hardcore server and I need someone to bring me a splint and a fair bit of food. I was at the NE airfield when I glitched into the floor almost killing me and braking my legs. It was then I discovered you can't make splints with bandages! D: I took of my raincoat off in the very doubtful hope I could tear it to rags and fix myself up. Before I could try, it disappeared into the void leaving me topless in the cold with a broken leg. I have been crawling around for hours. I managed to get to Cernaya Polana and get into one building and get myself a new raincoat. I am still cold (not so much a problem seeing as I'm warming now) with a broken leg and starving to death. If someone could please meet me at 121 017 on a hardcore server with some food and a splint I'll be internally grateful. I can give you my hunting pack and my fully kitted out Mosin (except bipod) as I was planing on ditching them anyway. Maybe some other stuff too. My steam is Lucid Hills Anyone want to help me out?

I think it'd be amazing if we get to point where we could have 150 players playing all on one sever and it running smoothly. If we get to this point, servers will have to be able/allowed to set lower limits.

I don't call them hardcore. It's just what they're called. Hardcore is 1st person and Regular is 3rd. I didn't make the names, just using them. Well if you want it without killing me you're welcome to it. Or maybe I'll drop it as a stash and then post where I placed it and on what server. EDIT: I'll drop it somewhere tomorrow. I believe this is due to server crashes. Whether the server is persistent doesn't matter when it crashes it effectively acts as a restart.

Yeah. I think this is a good idea. I imagine they could put some pretty exciting things out at see like an aircraft carrier maybe. Now that I'd get in a boat to go and loot.

Not really a building but what about train/road tunnels. They could act as a shortcut but you would really need to bring lighting.

I really dislike the concept of messages announcing the presence of another player. As Sacha sayed "You can never be absolutely sure you are alone, and that's how it should be". Unless the announcements were server wide, it'd be unbalanced. Even then I wouldn't like it. I like what what Evil Minion suggested on his thread adding my view to his in the comments.

Yes. Good idea though not shortest distance but shortest distance to cover. So maybe you get pushed to the closest tree line or another building but not out into the open.To prevent only the person who just logged in knowing there is another player about because they got pushed maybe have this push to cover happen with all log ins?? Hmm maybe not. If they were moved away far enough then it would be just like any other player approaching and message seems cheaty.
