I don't remember on top of my head all things 1.10 added but most of these were things from before new engine. We all had these things. They are just tweaking it in and adding old stuff back. Aside from breaking legs and two variants of tents, nothing has really changed, and having to wait 3 months doesn't cut it. DayZ is still my favourite game, because I love the idea it stands behind, but I see it's stalling. Updates bring very few, if at all new things. We were promised aerial vehicles, advanced basebuilding and much more. That was supposed to be in the main game, not have it added by modders. I still play on vanilla or some servers that have very, very few mods. I find guns they add to be not polished, like they somehow don't belong to this game. Also, basebuilding needs to be fixed asap. No one wants to build a base on vanilla because it's not balanced.

Why do you consider someone who wants to build a base not "fit" to this game?

Let's be honest. It will just get marked by a moderator as to be fixed and it'll stay like that. Speaking from my and many other's experiences.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but mods (of any game) are exclusive to PC gaming only.

Try to open local file directory (where the game is located) using right click on the game in Steam Libary, or maybe even try veryfying installed game (also in Steam).

You can just host your own server for a bit, and spawn whatever you want.

Is there a reason for it? And why are 99% of community servers on Chernarus?

So, in summary, DayZ was just a stepping stone to implement and test new engine, all while earning money. Now since DayZ and Enfusion are "over", you're just gonna make Arma 4. 😞

Not permanent fix but you can check death logs, find out Steam ID and ban them from your server.

Remember to fill up the radiator with water so it'll cool off the engine. Also, don't raise your RPM too much, just like IRL. Also, avoid places where railroad and road cross.

Hi, I'm JustCaused. I'm looking for a few players to form a small group. It'd be nice if you are from Europe since both me and my friend are one hour apart. After a long break because of uni, and since my summer break started, I'm looking forward to getting back in DayZ, and to finally get to know Litonia a bit better. We still didn't chose a server, but we'd like it to be vanilla or with as less mods as possible, either community or official.

It's tricky to find 50ish people to actively play on the server, but if you're looking to play on another, populated server, I could hop in.

You have a point. They need to fix and implement proper basebuilding. I used to play on The Village, we had a great community and it was all fine, but everyone gave up because you can destroy bases in 10 minutes, so it's just not worth it. Also, cars. Oh God...

Stockpiling guns affects that the server will spawn less of those guns on map. People who do that are even worse than those who stockpile toilet paper.

It's because you change server. It's made so they will stop server hopping and ghosting inside bases.

Yeah that happens commonly to CR rifles. Just drop it and move on, lots of better weapons are out there.

There's too much stuff needed to to first before we can do something like that.
