FX8320E 3.2GHz with HUGE OC power and R9 270X do the job perfectly fine for me. Cheap, but hella' effective.

I had huge FPS boost when transfering DayZ to my super fast SSD.

In this last stable patch it has been extremly hard to find Winchester .308 ammo. Where do you find this ammo? I usually search all those small civilian houses and houses associated to hunting, but this ammo has became extremly rare and if I find any, it's most likely 6-8 damaged bullets in somekind of clothing or 20 stack ruined bullets on dead corpse. :) ( I literally just got back from game, killed guy in Miskhino, he had 20 ruined .308 ammo ) As lone marksman, I am really depended on those bullets and it means either life or death to my character. Too bad I can't find SVD, since 7.62x54mmR is extremly common now. This ammo is so hard to find that it literally has same commonality like 5.56mm in 0.59 patch. And if anyone is interested in trading them, I'm happy to hear your offer.

Don't even dare to think about these ones. Devs said that they will never mess their hands in combat with soft skills.

I got R9 270X for very cheap price. I am vey satsifished with performance, but I hate AMD's drivers.

I'd suggest you NOT to wear them, otherwise you'll end up getting hyperthermic status a LOT.

Nothing new. I have actually stuided Latin. :) The thing that I don't like about this suggestion is about the houses. Sometimes I find really, really good spot for my camp to be and sadly, there aren't any DayZ-spawned houses. I don't like how devs placed certain houses in forests.

For me it's kinda wierd, if I go so deep inland in cities that noone visits, I find little to no loot at all.

I saw Silo's video and decided to download it. I can guarantee you 100% that it's not any kind of cheat, it just activates color settings in game and etc. ( I used to have something very similar in GTA games, it's called ENB ). You can turn it off in-game, and after seeing the diffrence between off and on, I would NEVER EVER play DayZ without SweetFX.

Don't try going for full TTKSO, gloves, balaclava and full ghillie combo. Just don't. Most of my days in Chernarus I spend with green fresh spawn T-shirt, olive UK vest or green high cap vest and some cool looking military pants. Small change from full TTKSO uniform always is really cool. T-shirt looks cool with vest that matches the color and pants that are camouflaged. Only problem is backpack, which I can't seem to find good color that exactly matches green T-shirt. This SS is my old character, now I'm wearing TTKSO pants and green high capacity vest.

Isn't that same lag for everyone? I get it too, but 25 FPS is enough to shoot someone. :)

I used to get metric shit tons of ammo in cars from Chapvesk, but things have changed, atleast for me. Thanks for the info, will try to go south now. :)

They tend to spawn SKS, SKS ammo, binoculars and shotgun shells. Sadly nothing else like .308

I have played this game for 2 years now, and have over 1500 hours on it, call me a non-lifer but atleast I freaking enjoyed it. Things have indeed CHANGED. Less bugs, and those gate sounds are diffrent from opening the gate sounds. The first one is actual ambient sound. There are no ghost sounds, zombie's AI is fixed, new render is added. Lots of stuff. There are still some bugs, but fuck it, it's Alpha. You can't expect game to be perfect in Early Access. Devs may be slow, but they are the only ones that we have.
