    I agree that there is too much food, given the very limited current amount of resistance (zeds) in your way to get said current amount. I'd like to get your opinion on the points/questions I've raised as well, e.g. stomach volume, immersion etc.

    Hmm, good point. I can see the terminlogy "proper/improper" being problematic. How would you be setting up the poll. I'd be glad to get a suggestion for it. Your interpretation of this being whining however, is false.

    Yes the server was full. Zeds seem to navigate alot better due to increased server performance too.

    Oh yeah, I read that. Forgive me, but the devteam has made alot of promises regarding roadmaps, release dates and deadlines, and have been breaking those. So that is why I do not have much trust in a statement that is "from 2015". Unless you have some statements from the past year or close to that, that doesn't mean much to me I'm afraid. =/

    Well they publicly said, they will be working on the game for 2019 with the full staff of 86 developers. After that is a grey and undefined area. Remains to be seen how much of what you named will be possible during this one year. Regarding helicopters, they said, it's high on the priority list, and the missing weapons will be implemented gradually and not all at once.

    This is very true, which is why I've made a suggestion that hints at, maybe the amount of space in the clothing items isn't the issue, but rather the fact that all the pockets are artificially sharing one large room for a specific piece of clothing, is where a logical limiting factor would come in handy in terms of balancing. Would be happy to get a vote and hear some feedback from you guys, regarding that ->

    It may be called 1.0 but that doesn't mean that it IS 1.0. It IS 0.64 and it's a shame it's being called 1.0. And by the way, as IMT has thoroughly explained, 1.0 is an industry standard and not a matter of interpretation. 1.0 does NOT mean Beta. It means full release. That is not to say, that the devs won't keep developing, but 1.0, as industry standard means: finished game. That is why it's a shame, they call it 1.0 Here is IMT's original post: "For the love of god, please stop spreading misinformation. There is a reason why there is version numbering, it is an industry standard. 1.0 isn't what 1.0 means to you, it isn't what it means to me and it also isn't what it means to Bohemia. It's an industry standard, there are no if's or other views on the subject. I'm viewing 1.0 as set in the industry standard, not what it means to me. 0.63, you see that 0? Hold on, --->0<---.63, that zero. It means that a product is Work In Progress and means that the product is either in its Alpha stage or its Beta stage. 1.0, you see that 1? Hold on, --->1<---.0, this one. It means that a product is feature complete and out of its Work In Progress stage. It means that a product is viewed as stable and FULLY released to the general public, hence the game leaving Early Access when it hits 1.0. Because at 1.0, it isn't Early Access anymore since the features (or rather requirements) which were documented in the analysis phase and worked out in the design phase are implemented and tested. There is no reasoning, discussing or personal opinion or view on this, it is an industry standard. 1.0 has for DayZ always been full release, they have given us multiple timelines for the product and 1.0 have always meant full release and it still does. Does development stop when a product hits 1.0? The answer is no, not with DayZ nor with any other software product, unless the product or that version of the product isn't supported anymore by the developers or the company, like Windows XP nowadays. Again, read up on the various aspects of the life cycle of a software product and its development, like software development life cycle, software release life cycle, software versioning and a lot of other aspects. All these things are an industry standard. It doesn't matter if the developers or Bohemia announced 1.0 as a full release or not as, again, it is an industry standard. Also, they call 1.0 a major milestone, the same goes for beta which in the industry standard are also major milestones. This further more proves that 1.0 is the full release of DayZ which should be feature complete and free of major bugs and issues. Which we all know the current status of that. Bohemia might slap their own version and own view on it but I'm going to treat 1.0, the way the industry treats it, the way I learned it and that is that 1.0 is, in fact, a fully released product. I haven't wrote a review for DayZ yet, only because the game wasn't fully released yet. Given all the negative reviews, I wanted to hold out on that review until 1.0/release and give the game a fair and honest review. Unfortunately, it's probably not going to be a positive review. My intention was to give DayZ a positive review on 1.0 because I trusted the developers and Bohemia to deliver what they promised. But as I said and have said multiple times, I'm going to review and judge 1.0 in a fair and honest way. They have dug their own grave this time, not the community."

    Sad is the right word, yes. But as I said, I don't beleive it's the decision of the developers. It's very likely the decision of the bosses/heads of Bohemia Interactive. But even from a business standpoint it's not very smart, because the "1.0 title" is the biggest opportunity to draw a new big player base. And this new player base won't stay for long with this shallow amount of content. It will hurt DayZ's image for the long term. We can only hope, that the devs will be allowed and preferably pressured to keep working on DayZ. Here is a statement from Eugen Harton that might give you some hope:

    Yea, for example the Assault Backpack hast precisely the same amout of storage space as the BDU Jacket (42 Slots). I don't know about you, but to me that's a problem. Probably wouldn't be one if my suggestion of slot seperation was implemented, but that is something for 2019/2020 maybe.

    All good. Now I will explain the reasons, why they cannot just "skip calling it 1.0 and say here is the last update of beta we leaving it now". They promised in the beginning of the year, that they would release DayZ 1.0. So to protect their image, they have to meet that deadline. Also it will sell alot of new copies, Bohemia Interactive is, afterall, of course a business. I am very sorry to crush your dreams, but it's better if I do it right now, than having you getting all hyped up tomorrow and then be disappointed. They explained a great many times, that new features and new content need to be tested before they can bring it to stable. I repeat, that is why the experimental branch exists. Thus, expecting anything that cannot be seen in todays experimental patch except for bugfixing, is wishful thinking. They promised 1.0 and they have to keep it. Even if it means, calling this version 1.0.     No, I don't think so. But I can also not rule it out a possibility. Nobody can know what their plans are, but them. I believe Peter Nespesny and Eugen Harton want this game to become what we have all been, and are dreaming of. Wether they will be allowed to do so along with the rest of the dev team, is up to the heads of bohemia. Also, you haven't answered my question ;)

    Counter-question: If you were the head of Bohemia, what would your motivation be, to continue development of DayZ. Put yourself in the shoes of a businessman. And if you found that motivation, how much pressure would you want to put on the dev team? What would that depend on?

    Hehe, if you had been following the development for 5 years as you claim, you would be educated enough to know that their office is burning right now, trying to stitch up the current version. I expect a patch tomorrow with final bugfixes, tweaks and balances. If you had been reading the status reports, you would know they did a "feature&content freeze" to move to a "stable platform". They are polishing. What do you believe they had stress test and experimental branch for? Do they have those because they can just drop a big content patch and it works from day 1? I understand you really want DayZ to become the game you love and so do I and while it doesn't give you the right to call me "dumb" or anything else that was completely unprovoked and uncalled for, I believe I can see the reason behind it. EDIT: Oh and in case you didn't know. They are forced to release 1.0 tomorrow because the Heads of Bohemia clearly pick a barebones 1.0 over missing another deadline.
