    Experimental Update 1.04.151974

@ImpulZ Guys I just wanna say, you're doing awesome! I'm sure you know all the actual hate is, what I believe, majorly motivated by fear for that the game won't live up to it's promises. This thing is coming together and get's richer and richer and more robust too. If only people could still play the old version, they'd know it's no comparison. Keep it up!!!

1.04 - All jokes aside, what do I need LAMPS for...

When you stick that thing on your chest I will kill you. Killed one who was dumb enough to do it tonight. Besides, my question was a rethorical one and is clearly pointing at the fact that light sources are not NEEDED anymore, because with a little bit of eyesquinting you can see perfectly fine inside buildings to loot, thanks to this retarded personal shitelite.

@NICE-GAME @robde92 Good news! The 'c'-issue has been fixed internally T141161

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

Theoretically it's not illogical what you are saying, but given that this has such high impact on gameplay, I'm pretty certain that, had they been aware of this issue, they would have listed it under the "Known Issues" section, which they lead for this exact purpose. It is to avoid obvious issues being reported unnecessarily, thus flooding the feedback tracker. So yeah, I don't believe they knew...with good reason.

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

The issue has been reported on the feedback tracker and also assigned. How something like this get's past Quality Assurance is beyond me. The only possible explanation would be that it's caused by networking issues that don't appear in internal testing. That could however easily be tested by playing the current version in offline mode but I couldn't bring myself to it yet. Anyways, here is the ticket if you want to keep up to date.>> T141161 <<

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

Sorry, I tried, but I don't understand. How would it be logical to still be able to get infected? If you are immune, you are immune. As for ragdolls, those are on the list of planned features as well, like I said. I've posted this list several times. I can post it again if you want. You can also find it in the status report from october 2018 I believe. We don't know anything about how the actual virus is transmitted. Classic zombies transfer via bites, which would lead to the first question, why zeds in this game don't attack with grabbing and bites but instead, with these retarded swinging and clubbing animations, which I believe are still inspired by Dean Halls most retarded mocap session period @5:58 and yeah, it get's even worse @7:15

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

Well, as you can see in the bottom of this official list out of one of the last made status reports from around October 2018 I believe, decaying bodies, as well as carrying bodies/characters are planned features and thus will come, since there hasn't been any update or altercation regarding this list, that I'm aware of. As for your idea of turning players, I believe that it is very unlikely we will be seeing anything like this. The reason for that is, that the dev team has in fact uploaded a "gameplay trailer" that get's a tiny little bit into the "lore" of the game, which it feels almost sacrilegious using this big word for the naked skeleton we should refer to as the "story of DayZ". Anyhow, I digress...The female voice says around 0:17, that "you are one of the few immune to the virus, but that's where your luck runs out...". So yeah, that pretty much kills that idea unless they decide at some point to overturn this, but for the moment they have shown a clear stance regarding the subject of player "zombification". Here's the video for ya:

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

I'm holding my horses a little tighter than you because of past experiences but yeah, the content is pretty good and it's going the right direction. Hope they do the stuff you say. And fix HWAA causing black screen. And fix items falling through the floor. And fix static HUD overlay caused by changing settings and rejoining a server. And fix zombie loot LOD issues. And fix the "change stance" key being unreliable inside many (if not all) structures. It's on experimental and I hope that they fix these before it's pushed to stable but at the same time I'm willing to bet, that it will not, as that has been the case with previous patches that were then fixed in hotfixes in the patch-following week, despite the fact, that the issues were reported thoroughly AND acknowledged/assigned on the feedback tracker. We will see...

1.04 - All jokes aside, what do I need LAMPS for...

Hehe, well I guess that's what you could USE them for, but I was asking about NEED...anyhow, cool screenshots 😉
  11. Well at least: Features and improvements planned for BETA/1.0, or originally in 0.62, but moved post 1.0 Helicopters [ ] we've arrived at the decision that base building implementation will provide enough of an end goal for players, so helicopters can be added later on Climbing over obstacles [ ] this feature required additional programming and animation support that we've decided to invest more effectively into other parts of the game Throwing items [✔] throwing requires a lot of additional specialist work on physics and network synchronization, and we'd rather invest that into vehicles and other features this includes throwable weapons like grenades or smoke grenades Bows [ ] the implementation of bows means an introduction of a completely new weapon type on 0.63 and was always a risky goal, in the end unfortunately not achievable in 2018; we've invested the programming time into gun play, melee combat, vehicles and other core features that were more important Character and infected ragdoll [ ] unfortunately, there are many network synchronization cases that we need to resolve and implementing ragdolls in combination with death animations will require more time and resources Two-way doors [ ] while a huge quality of life improvement, changing the doors to two way opening will require additional rework of some of the assets, and is not achievable in 2018 Fishing and fish traps, decaying bodies, carrying characters, contaminated areas, item coloring etc. [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] these are considered flavor features and for now, work on core gameplay features was prioritized instead

Very much agree with this. They definately paid attention here and I believe they listened to the community in this regard, but perhaps they had planned it all along. Either one is fine.

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

How do you mean, that we can hold 'R' to fill magazines with rounds? Because that definately works. However I initially thought, this means the game would "automatically" take the fullest magazine in your inventory and use it to be loaded into the gun. In case THIS was the intended feature, I have not got it to work, even with assigning the "quick reload" option in the keybindings to a different key than 'R', as I thought maybe the bindings are conflicting, but no. Even more confusing is, that is VERY possible to eject a chambered round via 'R' and that is in fact the only thing 'R' does, just like it used to.

    Experimental Update 1.04.151915

Just checked the Feedback Tracker. It as been confirmed and assigned T141161 I have no Idea how something like this gets through quality control as it seems to happen for everyone...

  16. Dear Dev-Team, some major things recently went down. In short, first you decided there is not going to be any ROADMAP nor any PREVIEW of what you are working on. This leaves the playerbase in the dark and modders have already spoken out their concerns. second off, Peter Nespesny has quit his job as LEAD DESIGNER of the game, subsequently leading to alot of questions about how things will carry on. So here go the QUESTIONS: You promised, that the game would be worked on throughout the year of 2019 with the full development-team of ~86 members. (Quote from the "Status Report - 6 November 2018") 1. Who is going to take on Nespesny's position and what are the estimated consequences for the design? (I know Peter was always leaning more towards the "hardcore" side of things) 2. Now that the last source of income regarding DayZ was milked, namely the PS4-release, what is Bohemia Interactive's motivation to keep on developing beyond 2019? The Game is self-published so it's in your hands correct? 3. What speaks against talking about what you are currently working on? You would not have to announce any ETA's, just to keep loyal fans in the loop. Of course there are many more questions but these are the most important ones to me right now and I would be happy to see one or more members of the dev-team actually come by this forum for once and answer these questions. It would be a good and more importantly REASSURING sign. Thanks and best regards Freerider

I noticed a little issue with the "change stance" function (default "c") sometimes being unreliable to get you back to standing. Anyone else having that issue?
  18. You don't need time to compare the list I've sent you to what's actually ingame. You just need to read it once (~1 min) and then just not reply, because that is the correct answer: nothing That being said, you clearly have fun playing the game, so have fun!
  19. I will reply to this in a year...
  20. Not sure if this is directed at me but I have only pointed out that the person accusing others as troll, which is what @hemmo did, is himself behaving like one. I'm also unsure why the topic would be closed if a few people can't behave themselves according to the rules. If I have violated any of those, please point me to it, as you have before. Quite frankly anyone who repeatedly breaks the rules should be banned from this topic and that includes me of course. But threatening to close the topic doesn't make any logical sense to me. You don't close a bar because two drunk guys make trouble. You throw them out...
  21. Well, that's...unsurprising. The only troll and the only one anger-baiting in this entire thread is you, but you know that. Now since you couldn't follow up on my polite request to provide some factual comparison between what they said they would be working on and what they have actually delivered, you have disqualified yourself from a logical discussion.
  22. How about, instead of throwing around empty phrases and making edgy funny jokes, you actually point us to what we "would have seen" and put it into comparison to what they actually wanted to achieve. Here's the list again for you, third time posting this now. Oh and FYI. I've played the game quite alot in 2019, so I know what I'm takling about.
